Trying To Insert Multiple Records Into Database When Form Is Submitted
I'm trying to insert mutiple records into my database when the form is submitted.. My form has 4 textfields; serial1, price1, serial2 and price2.

I would like to insert serial1 and price1 as one record, then serial2 and price2 as the second record. I know some sort of loop has to be used to achieve this but i'm new to this and I don't know what to do...

I tried to do it with dreamweaver but it does not seem possible and the dreamweaver code seems really complicated I've only been able to insert only the first row(serial1,price1).. since I only have 2 fixed rows I guess what I need to do is to get dreamweaver to do it twice in a loop. Code:

So when a user fill up the mailing list form, he can check as many categorie he want...

but how i can insert 1 row in my table #3 for each checkbox checked...

I'm trying to set up a form whereby users can select a variety of different subject mailing lists they'd like to be added to.

I have a recordset that contains multiple records of product a user is purchasing. For clarity, I converted the recordset fields to variables. I need to take that entire recordset and insert it into another table on a remote server. The below code only inserts 1 record. How do I change the code to get all records inserted?

how to insert multiple records in database?? i have this problem like i have this one form and there are three fields like the (quantity,unit,item name)..the item that will be inputted will vary, depending on the number of item to be inputted..

..form method. The table "general" has a primary key 'geid .' I get the following error:

Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'geid', table 'general';

column does not allow nulls. INSERT fails.

I have a database generated form that I would like users to be able to update by selecting a checkbox. Say the page displayed has six records on it and the user wants to delete one or more of the records. They would click the checkbox and hit a "delete" button.

Then the database would be updated and the user redirected back to the page that would now show all the records that weren't deleted. Sort of like Yahoo mail, you get a list of all the bulk mail, select the ones that you want to delete, hit a delete button, and the page is updated to show what e-mail is left. I have a tablet structutre that is the following:

Each id is unique to customer. I have a table with over 100 rows of the above.I need a way to pull that last three occurances of error number 0 for each customer? I was trying to use a subselect but i was having trouble.

Insert Checkbox Values From Dynamic Record Set
A page displays the Product literature that a customer can request to receive by postal mail by clicking a check box. The literature selections are created by a dynamic record set based upon what the company enters into the Literature table (currently 10 selections). The checkbox form tags are:

LiteratureID is the Access autonumber primary key field. I can use the LiteratureName in the "name" attribute if it is easier.

The form processing page needs to Insert each selection into its own record in another table. This "requested" table also inserts the database ID for the customer that is created after first inserting the customer contact info. In other words the "requested" table needs to record the customer autonumbered db ID and each selected checkbox value.

Here is my current code:

but I only get a value passed to the database if just one is selected. If more than one is selected, no value is returned. I thought the value passed was s'posed to be a comma delimited string of all checked boxes?

Add Multiple DB Entries By Checkbox
There are a lot of references on the net on how to delete multiple entries in a database by using a checkbox. What I would like to do is add a checkbox to the output of a query (ie. bunch of names).

Then be able to select some of the names by clicking on a checkbox and when submitted, add those checked names to another database (insert). Similar to a shopping cart selecting multiple products but when submitted, it does not add them to the checkout, it adds them to a database as new inserts.

I have to develop a page where, based on status some records are selected from the Access database and displayed. A checkbox is displayed beside every record.

Some checkboxes can be selected and the corresponding record should be deleted if the delete bottun is pressed.

Persits.Upload.1 And Multiple Checkbox

Persits.Upload - Submitting Multiple Checkbox
I am using a form to upload images with Persits.Upload object. Now my problem is I cant use multiple checkboxes in the form.

In general forms I can use Form("checkboxName").Count to get the number of checkboxes selected and use Form("checkboxName")(i) to retrieve the value of each check box.

i hav problem with updating the data. In the asp page i hav displayed records based on search criteria. in display mode im displaying the to be updated field in combo box for each similar contract_no. each contract_no will hav different no of rows and to be updated combo box.

Insert All Records
I am trying to figure out a way to insert all the records from a dynamic table - repeat region into one table as individual records. On the 1st page users select which items they want from a large list. When they click submit it passes the values ( IDs ) with a URL par to the next form. This form has a recordset that uses the URL par from the last page and creates a new dynamic table - repeat regon with all the records they chose. I need to do this so I can then add up rates for those selected items. I need to find a way to the add all those selected records now into one table. Also I need to have them insert each record at a time. So if 4 records are in the recordset and repeat region, I need to have it add 4 records into the table. Hope that makes since. Im a bit lost on this one.

The code I have here holds data in an asp session, ownerId, storeid and product type.

I can insert a record into the Productcat table, fields OwnerId and surfboards, no problem.
But what I would like is to insert the ownerid then insert poduct type into the field sepcified in the session variable (session("prodtype")) and/or strprodtpye

I am workin on a project at home,asp vbscript website, n im having problems with inserting records into my database .. I am using a dsn-less ADODB connection, but it seems that some kind of security is preventing me from writing in the db.. i can access n retrieve, but NOT WRITE.. ive tried disabling every type of security, still doesnt work..

Insert Mltiple Records
What is the most efficient way of inserting multiple records into a database ? At the moment, I'm grabbing data and inserting each record with a loop. The only thing is on each loop I'm opening a connection to the db (SQL Server), inserting a record, then closing it.

Is there a way of inserting all the data with either one command or by keeping the connection and looping the command instead. The situation is the user entering email addresses into a textarea, one per line, then process each of those emails as a record.

I hv a SQL server table 'spmidishad'. Theere are 7 columns. One of it is Partner. my searchresults.asp displays all the records retrived from my database (spmidishad). At the end of one row, there is a checkbox. Once a few is checked, i will press on the IMPORT button. This import button (the form action is from import.asp)

I have a page that will populate information from a "reference" table in the DB (SQL) like this:

This information will be different each time the page is visited based on the variable they submit. So next time it may show 20 records. how would I go about inserting this data to the DB? Can anyone point me in the right direction to get me started?

An ASP Checkbox Form
I have an asp page linked to a Microsoft Access database. On the first page I have a list with 10 or so names that belong to a group I simply get from the database with a sql code. The thing is I have a checkbox before every name of that list done with one simple code. Tell me if this can be done. Example.

The list is in html table.

It loops through the end of that group. I want to make this happen. Only the checked values (persons) from that list to appear listed in another page named userForm.asp .I'm sure it is all the asp basics.

I use Access Data Base 2000 and ASP configuration. My case is that I constructed a Editable Grid with 5 columnar labels so that I derive many rows from database for the client to choose from by the help of check boxes that I externally added for each row. Multiple Insert/Update
After the page (transactions.asp) loads I want to allow the user to enter the number of transactions into the provided textboxes. Then, when the user clicks submit, I need to have all the hidden fields as well as the number of transactions values inserted into the transactions table of my database?
