Response.Redirect Error "object Required"
When I try to use the response.redirect or response.cookies I get an error saying "object required". I`ve tried to write response.buffer=true with no luck. May this occur due to bad config og iis 5.0?

Response.Redirect - Object Required "
I am trying to provide a login page to verify users. I have got this to work fine in the past but have now been asked to encrypt the passwords in the database. In order to do this I have created a stored procedure in the Oracle database and am running it to encrypt the password that the user has entered. I then compare the encrypted string with the encrypted password in the database to see if they match. This all appears to work fine, the problem comes when I try and use Response.Redirect to take the user to the main menu if the password is correct. I keep getting an Object Required - " error on the Response.Redirect line. I tried using Response.Buffer = True at the top and got the same error, and when I used Server.Transfer it did not do anything. The page I am trying to redirect to is valid, I have also tried redirecting to valid sites like Google to no avail. Code:
Method="POST" Does NOT Work With Enctype="multipart/form-data"
My form has mixed fields in it, one of them is a file field for picture upload when i submit my form via method="GET" i can retrieve my form data with Request.QueryString() method but as then I loose my file, but as soon as I switch to method="POST" and use Request.Form() method i get nothing unless I remove enctype="MULTIPART/FORM-DATA" at which point I loose mi file also... What is causing this? is there a different enctype i need to be using?

I'm trying to get a .txt file from another domain using xml object; this file includes special characters like ñ, á, é, í, ó, ú and so on. I'm using navicat to connect to the db... i'm on my local machine and connect to the server via "localhost." Since i'm naturaloy curious i tried instead of "localhost" i put in the ip address of the machine but it done'st connect....why is that?

I am trying to find a script to a "dealer locator" or "find a store near you". I will have two tables. One will include all US and Canada ZIPs including lat and longtitudes. The other one is a table of our dealers (or store) including thier ZIP codes. When the user enters his ZIP code, the application needs to check (based on the lat and long) if there is a dealer in a 30 miles radious. After the application finds the list of all the dealers withing this radius, it will send a list with their name, address, and the distance from the (ZIP of ) user.
CDO Error "Failure In Obtaining User Token." (Error '8004020F')
I'm having a bit of trouble with an ASP form that I'm maintaining. Someone else wrote it and I'm new to CDO objects. I have a CDO.Message and a CDO.Configuration. I set up the configuraton fields for the port and smtp server's ip address to be used. The configuration property of the message is set to be the new configuration object. Then there's a ton of stuff appending bits and pieces to the text body. Finally we have the message's Send method being called. That's where it breaks. It seemed to just stop working one day. When I submit the form, the message returned is simply: error '8004020f' I know from the MSDN website that this error code means 'Failure in obtaining user token.' What I don't know is how to fix it!

i get "system cannot find the file specified" error. iam sure that the path of file iam looking for is true. i guess this is a friendly message thrown. when i turned off the freind messages in IE (client side) i still get the same error. is there any way that i can see the exact error so that i can debug.

When one of my users are navigating my ASP website, and click on submit type button to move from Page1.asp to another ASP page, Page2.asp, they are getting message like "Internet explorer cannot download <asp pagefrom <server>. Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later." But other users are not experiencing this. I have managed to create an asp page which looks at a mdb file creates an xml from which ever fields I want (original code was created by CodeAve.com). The resulting xml file seems to display fine until it comes to an & in the data field. In one of my projects i need to copy one image file to 3 different folders. I have given full folder security permissions to all folders. My application is allowing to upload and moving image files but i am unable to copy a single image file to other foldes. It is giving permission denied error. note that all paths are correct. There is no path not found or file not found errors.

I have a program that uploads a text file to the server using freeASPUpload.asp component. Then it updates a Access database that contains 3 fields. After I select the text file then submit it, it uploads fine to the server and all the data is stored in the correct fields in the access database but this error prints out on the page. "Ran Out Of Memory" Error, ASP 0107
I have a problem with a home-made DLL used in an ASP environment. It is coded in VB6, apartment-threaded. The DLL returns a binary PNG stream (an image). I use it with ASP's Response.BinaryWrite to display a dynamic image on a web page. The server is Windows 2000 SP4. The web page contains anywhere from 1 to 6 images, where the HTML code is something like "<IMG SRC='img.asp?some_parameters...'>". Also, the web page contains a timer so that these images are refreshed every 10 seconds. This means that the "img.asp" page, which is instantiating the DLL, can be called very often. When I start IIS, everything is fine. Then, after about 4-5 minutes, the img.asp page starts to return the 500 HTTP error code, with the mention that "Server.CreateObject failed : ran out of memory". The internal error code is "ASP 0107". Sometimes I also get the "Type mismatch - ASP 0105" error. The IIS application is set up as highly isolated. I tried de-registering and re-registering the DLL, but that didn't help. We have another server (more recent) set up the same way, except that it's SP3, and it works just fine. Note that before setting the application as highly isolated in IIS for that second server, we were having the same problems. I have searched extensively on the Microsoft web site as well as Google Groups. I found quite a few references to the "ran out of memory" error, but couldn't find a solution that would correct my problem.
"No Input File Specified" Error
I recently moved my website from a Unix hosting service to a Windows 2003 IIS hosting service. The site was converted from php/mysql to asp/mssql. The search engines still have a lot of links cached that point to php. When a user clicks the link they get a blank page that reads "No input file specified.". "Too Many Client Tasks" Error
i have a website hosted with crystaltech which needs to send out reminder emails to customers on a day and time of their choosing. to do this i used the server sheduled tasks to call a page every hour which does a search checking for time and day that match and then loop thru the recordset sending out a CDONTS email to those records. this would run fine for 12 - 15 hours and then the IIS would crash with the "Too many client tasks" error. this seemed strange as at most it would find one or 2 records matching the time. i presumed some error must be occuring (even though it was sending out emails correctly) and thus the recordset wasn't being closed correctly. Including A ".inc" File Versus An ".asp" Or ".htm" File
I have begun having problems with an entire site that has been using an include file called header.inc The file simply has some html for a nav table. I had had everything under the root web using this, then I created a directory and had a file in that directory use header.inc This is where my problems began. From "memo" To "text"
Im adding entries to an Access database, and I got some problems while inserting a memo field in a text field. In fact, the migration is from a Mysql field to an Access field.. There is a way to avoid the problems... setting all the access fields to "memo" type, but, as you may know, this process multiplicates my db weight to thousands of bytes. Is there a function to insert the memo field into a text field? It would be very useful, even if (of course) it wraps some text in the trespassing.
