i have 2 database server...........
i have a pages that need to get data from 2 server.......
so, i open connection when want to get data.....
but this page, i need to get data from 4 table in server1 and 3 table from server2......
table in server1 have relationship with table server2.....
so, i always open connection to server1 and get data..then close.....then open connection to server2 and close........

I am about to migrate my asp web pages from a previous well functioning connection with Access 2003 to SQL Server 2005 Express Edition instead. I have created a database in SQL Server called "test_db". As far as I know I have not set any particular user id or password for the database. In this microscopic database I have onnly a single table called "name" and in this table I have two columns called "fname" and "lname". I have two records stored in the name table. What I want to achieve is simply to display these two records in my asp-page. How can I achieve this and what am I missing here?

My website connects to a remote sql server. Application works fine when I run from Visual Studio. But when I run the site from IIS, it shows an error. An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. I have had a web server up an running for a while based on Access 2003 and asp code. Now I have decided to upgrade the database to SQL Server 2005 (not the express edition). The problem is that I just can't get it to work properly. During the installation I was prompted for an instance name (I chose the default radio button). I am using windows authentication on a Windows 2003 Server OS. I have created a database called "testDB". This database has only 1 table called "testtable" and this table consists of a single column called "name" with just 4 records. I want to display these records in my webpage. I have an existing web app on a remote server that I want to manage as a web project on my local box with Visual InterDev. But when I create a new project in VID and connect to the web server, I cannot connect to the existing web app. At the "Specify your web" dialog box I choose "connect to existing web on server" but the only option that shows up is <root web>. I cannot overwrite this option with the name of the web I want to connect to I can see this web application in the IIS Manager on the remote server and it is configured as a web application. It accessible in a browser. Why won't it show up in Visual InterDEV?

Asp Connect To Database
I have an access database that I need to put online for basic viewing. However, the database is also used by other people for updating and report printing. The web server and the access database are on two seperate servers. I cannot connect directly to the database cause if somebody has it open, the website will not work and for some reason I cannot connect to to database across servers. I tried a linked database, but asp will not recognise it. I know that I could put all the reports and stuff online, but I have till next week and I do not think that I can do it in this short a time. Any ideas will be helpful and if there is code that I need to manipulate I could try to do it. And also I do not have rights to configure the IIS option on the servers.

PWS Keeps Trying To Connect To Internet
I have just installed PWS on my Win98 SE machine. Even though i change my internet connections to "Never dial a connection" it still tries to connect when i try to view my asp pages. It is indeed DSN. I found my server provider nicely provides a window where one can automatically set up a DSN to any database in the data folder. I suppose one can set up as many connections to as many databases as the system will allow, in a couple of minutes.

Can't Connect To Localhost
I have installed wamp5 on my laptop so I can develop php pages with mysql.I have started the wamp5 which give you a semi circle and three quarters of the icon is shaded yellow - this is supposed to mean that apache is running. I then type in http://localhost in the address bar and I get the "page cannot be displayed" error. This is weird because wamp says apache is running ok.Is there any other setting that may affect the connection?If this is any help, I also have a sneaky suspicion that because I have visual studio.net installed on my laptop there may be a conflict with IIS? I have not developed any sites with visual studio yet but could there be a conflict here? Thing is, I am not sure what to look for or change?
