I download file .swf from a website for study how to do Action Script V2.0 by using Sothink SWF Decompiler and export to it to file .fla

After that I test run program, the result show Error. Could you please check Code for me that something wrong. and why it show Error. Because I'm new for Action Script V2.0 so I'm quite not understand well.

Please give me advise or correct Code.

hi, today i juz d/l and tried Sothink swf decompiler, but i found that it just couldn't export the swf into fla file, but only could extract the source such as graphics, and scripts etc. Anyone knows which software can do even better than sothink? All i want is the fla source file. I don't mean to copy and paste the other's works, but wishing get down to understand how the effects done and learn from it...

I have a client who has a template that they want to use. I used my decompiling software to try to get the files so i could edit them but the program didnt decompile the ones i needed. I have an SWF file that I need decomplied so I can get some actionscript code out of it and find the URL path to 2 parts of it internally.

Would anyone be able to help me, it should be simple, I'm just not experienced with decompiling an SWF file, and I am on a Mac, the PC decompilers are more in-depth and allow more to be seen.

Decompile Nightmare
I am trying to help a friend with a project. Long story short--original developer's computer crashed, no backups. The only files left are .swfs on an executable CD-ROM. The exectuable can't be used online, it's just for the CD-ROM format, so at this point everything has been decompiled and corrected except this ONE FILE that is giving me fits.

I'm more of a designer than a programmer; my understanding of ActionScript is limited. I've been trying to figure this out using the 'Learning AS2.0 for Flash 8' book, but while I think I kind of understand the syntax I still can't figure out the problem.

I can't attach the decompiled file and the finished .swf (so you can see how it should work) to this post as a .zip because they're too big. If anyone is willing to take a look at them and at least give me some direction, they would have my undying gratitude, please respond and I'll send you the files. Thanks!

Can I Decompile Your Flash?
Hi, im a beginner of flash. I hate those codes to describe flash, but i like joining up those elements. I know I am strange and thus i cant learn valuable things in flash. So i "invent" a good method in flash learning. First I googled "decompiler" and download one of them which i think is good enough(http://www.sothink.com/product/flashdecompiler/index.htm)
. Then i decompiled some swf(on web) to see how they make it. Then I joined the elements up, the swf palyed well, I win. So, i retry and retry, things becomed no more difficult to me. I think my learning method was advanced until someone my friend told me: "stop do that, you've offended the flash author! " I dont quite understand her words but I couldnt continue my work. I only want to learn some flash, I dont want to offend anyone else. I dont know if my friend's suggestion is true? It's a pity I cant learn my flash with decompiler, I hope someone bigbody could give me some advice! Thank you!

Does anyone know how to decompile de content of a FlashPaper SWF?

I dont mind about the FP interface itself but the content itself.

Tha thing is I have an old program form aking maps that has no export options, only printing. When i sent the maps to the simulated printer, FP mantains what this software sends to the printer as vectors which is very convenient.

So, is there any way to decompile or modify the content of a FP?

i know that moderators are not so happy to talk about the subject of this 3d but,,,i beg your pardon...
well i've browsed all the net for a long time to look for the source FLA of this digital clock(it's attached) but i couldn't help it. so i decided to install a decompiler. my need is just to change the color of sticks (black-->white) not much more. but,,,when i explort to flash the swf file and open it in mx2004 i get an error. otherways i can read the AS included in the swf but couldn't build the original flash from that!

No, I'm not asking for you to decompile someone's Flash program for me. As you'll see at the site, it's nothing special ( just the word "flyyyyyyy" ). This is an attempt I've been developing at making a Flash SWF that is unable to be decompiled.

I'd like for anyone interested to try to decompile this and post here the code that is inside. It's only a couple lines but it should be able to prove whether or not you did find a way to decompile it.

Quite A Big Favour, Please Decompile Small Swf
Sorry to ask, but would anybody be able to decompile an old Flash file on a website I designed years ago, and ,of course, have lost the source for.

It's basically a small flash player which works with a cgi script to stream mp3s - I'm pretty sure it came from a tutorial site many moons ago.

Anyway I can't find anything about it online, so I am reduced to having to hack it apart to try and work out the script and how it interacts with the cgi, so i can make some small changes.

I work on a mac and as far as I can tell there is no real decompiling software available which will simply export the thing as a Fla file.

So I know it's a liberty, but please could somebody simply decompile it, export it as a fla, and mail it to me at felix (at) urbanimage.tv

HDD Failure Nightmare: Need To Decompile Files From Web

A couple of months ago, I had a bit of a nightmare in that my harddrive failed, losing an entire year's work. I have so far managed to get by without having to pay the £1000 quoted for getting the data professionally retreived, but have come up with a problem today.

I created 2 swf files for the homepage of a client's new website. They have now decided they want some changes to these yet I no longer have the .fla file to make the changes.

Can anyone help me? Is there a decompiler I can use without having to spend a lot of money? Can some kind person perhaps do this for me?

Preventing Decompile / Code Reading
Hey all,
I was just wondering if anyone knew of a good solution for encrypting AS3 files to prevent decompiling and code-reading...not for SWC files but for an SWF or rather the AS3 classes compiled therein. I really don't care if anyone gets the minimal graphics or even most of the scripts; but I'm worried about someone figuring out how to hack the database my SWF is tapping into by deducing what the variables it's sending are (as it is I obfuscate everything sent over the wire to make it not-human-readable).
I looked at Amayeta, but they don't seem to be up to AS3 yet. Any thoughts? You'd think encryption would be a built-in compile option already...

Help! I am in desperate need to decompile my swf movie because my flash crashed before i could save it, now all i have is the test movie. Hi, Im doing research into VR Tours and I find that I learn quite a lot from seeing peoples code. In some webpages, I can right click and view the source and find the xml file(all the important code is in the xml file linked to the tour-most cases-)

But when the tour is fullscreen, I get no right click as its all Flash.

How can I access the files that make up a tour to see how its been done?
Do I need a decompiler? or what else?

If I need a decompiler, is there any freely available? If I can do it someonether way please let me know...

Loading Movies Inside Other Movies In An Ext Movie Holder?
Here's one for you:

I've got my main movie that has a movie holder on it (entitled movieholder.) The buttons on the left control what goes in the movie holder. In one of the movies there is a list of songs that are actually buttons. These buttons call up another movie(with MP3s). How do I get the MP3 movies to go into "movieholder" when they are being called by a button inside 'movieholder'

Trouble Creating Reverse Rollover Movies Within Movies
Hey ooh my first post.

I have been having trouble creating a movie clip with a reverse rollover effect within a movie which has a reverse rollover effect. that sounds confusing

In essence I wish to create a panel that rolls out on rollover and rolls back in reverse when the you rollout. I have done this using this script

However I wish to make movies within this movie that have the same effect on them. But when I create another movie or button within this movie it is not registering on rollover. I guess because the script on the main movie overrides it?

ok, i have just done a few flash movies, but I am openning swf files in my movie, however these movie have a preloader and a 2nd scene before the main scene.

The problem I have is that I need play from a frame in my main scene (called Direct3).

I used the above AS to load my movie, but I have a feeling that its not going to my requested frame label...

I am sure this is possible, please could someone point me in the right direction...

Loading Movies Into Movies With Scroll Bars O_O
I have a site where I'm showcasing my talents (Obviously figuring scripting out won't be one of them) and I load movies into the central area by using simple commands, and it all works. Now I need to have of of those movie to scroll around, because I'm showcasing banners and have more than 400 pixels of height can fit.

I was thinking of using the same textField system that I used for my news section, but replacibng the textField part was a different thing for Movies.

There's got to be an easier way though. Can anyone help me?

Ummm... Loading Movies Inside Movies.... Help?
I posted a question about this a month or so ago, but now (I've had to work out problems on other sites in the meantime) I'm totally ready to figure this out!

I have a VERY large Flash Web site. So, it was suggested that I chop up the site into a few smaller movies. From there, I would set up a main page with a ["target"?] movie clip nested in it. Then, when a button has been pushed, the corresponding swf loads inside the movie clip. I think I can handle that... (although a nice tutorial would be great!)

The problem I'm having is... These swf's can be 'called' from each other, meaning the same buttons will be in each movie. However, the buttons will trigger different frames in each movie, depending on which movie you're already in. I'm betting this is confusing...

EXAMPLE: Every page has 4 buttons, "Who We Are", "Success Stories", "Portfolio", and "Contact". From the Home page you can push any of these buttons and it will go to the first frame of the corresponding movie and a quick, little animation displays as it takes you into the page. That's great. The problem is that, if you were in the "Who We Are" page and clicked "Contact" it should NOT go to Frame 1 of that movie... It should go to Frame 30, because there is a specific animation that connects "Who We Are" to "Contact" that is not the same as the connection animaton between "Home" to "Who We Are". So how do I get the code to be more specific?

Dynamically Loading Movies Into Movies With Variables
This might be a kinda tough one. I'll explain the best that I know how.

I want to load jpg images into a movie/button (movie clip with a button instance inside of it with another movie clip inside the button), but I need to do it dynamically.

I was thinking about naming all of the files the same but just change the numbering at the end. Then I can just use an i value to obtain the next file.

Code:

loadMovie("something"+i+".jpg","mv_btn_"+i)

so, basically I have 5 buttons with 5 images to import. The buttons already have the proper numbers on them, I just need to import the clips into the corresponding button.

Sound Linkage When Loading Movies Into Movies
I have an intro.swf file that is basically a movie with sound that is exported for actionscript but not exported in the first frame. I just stuck it in a movie on my timeline and it works great and the preloader works because it doesn't load the sound before the preloader. I use :
musicSound = new Sound();
musicSound.attachSound("music");
musicSound.start();
to play the sound in intro.swf.

However, now this intro.swf gets loaded into an index.swf and everything works fine and the sound plays as long as I have the sound included in BOTH the intro.swf and the index.swf and the sound is exported on the first frame in the index.swf. I was hoping I could remove the sound entirely from my index.swf since it already loads into the intro but so far I havenâ€™t been able to figure out how without breaking the sound. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

This is my second attempt at making an all flash site. I got two questions.
1. Lets say I have three movies. Movie1.swf Movie2.swf and Movie3.swf
Movie1.swf has Movie2.swf loaded inside of it. Is there anyway to make Movie2.swf load Movie3.swf inside Movie1.swf ? Does that make sence?
2. Is there anyway to load only certian parts of a movie into another movie? For example:
I have this file http://www.fantim.org/fantimshow/movies/movies.swf (Don't mind the chopiness of it) As you can see it has excess stuff on the sides. Is there anyway to load this within another movie without showing this excess stuff?

Yeah, I know that sounds confusing. Lemme explain:

- interface.swf it's my main movie;
- interface.swf load section1.swf in a specific container called containerMC (duh! );
- section1.swf load other movie, section1a.swf;
- I need a button in section1.swf that load section3.swf in the same main container (containerMC in interface.swf), unloading section1.swf and section1a.swf.

Buttons To Advance Movies Within Movies
I'm still a novice with ActionScript...so sorry about this:

I have a movie...let's call it "Foundation.swf". It is nothing more than a huge, thick border with buttons that run along the side (like using frames in HTML). One layer has an ActionScript that "LoadsMovie" onto Level 1. It starts off with automatically loading "Intro.swf".

When "Intro.swf" is done, "Intro.swf" then loads "Scene01.swf" in its place. Then "Scene01.swf" loads "Scene02.swf" and so on and so forth. But all this is happening within the "Foundation.swf" movie.

OK...all is good.

Now what I want to do...is to use the buttons in "Foundation.swf" to move whatever movie that is loaded onto that layer up one scene or back one scene, etc. So, how do I script it so that WHATEVER movie is loaded onto that layer can be jumped around within it?
