[F8] How To Create A Flash E-brochure
I have been searching the web for ages but I can't find a tutorial which explains how to create an e-brochure, like the on in the following link:

I can find plenty of places which can do it for me, but I want to create my own. Can anyone tell me where to find a tutorial which shows me how to do this?

Virtual Brochure
I'm tring to make a virtual tri-fold brochure that opens when the user hovers the mouse over it. Where to begin? I have the front page that I want to flip open to the left. Rotating it with a motion tween doesn't give me the 3d look I want. Can someone give me some ideas?
I want the pages to turn smoothly.

Brochure Customization On The Fly?
Greetings,
I have a medical association client that wants to offer their members the ability to go to their website, choose a downloadable patient brochure, type their clinic name and phone number into a form, and have the system automatically put the info into the brochure and be available for printing.
This is essentially an on the fly brochure customization. I've never done this can some one smarter offer some advice on where to begin?

Creating Online Brochure
I am returning to graphic design after a five year absence...wow! Have things changed!!
I'm wondering if the brochure at the following link was created in Flash or if it could be created in Flash. I currently have the Creative Suite 2.3 and access to Flash MX.

Opening Brochure Effect
Hello, i'm fairly new to as3, but i've been searching and searching for a page turn code that doesn't actually flip the page, rather opens it, like a brochure. I can't seem to find anything that really explains how to do this and most of the page flip info i've found has been in earlier actionscripts. I really appreciate any help I can get! Thanks!
Page Flip / Virtual Brochure Help

this is my first post so i'll say hello to you all!
I'm having a few problems with a virtual brochure / page flip which i have created and wondered if anyone had any ideas!
I have created the virtual brochure which works fine, but i want to make it so that the user can zoom in and pan about the brochure so they can see the text and view the pictures easier. In essence it needs a control like the right click Zoom In/Zoom Out feature in flash player, but controlled from within the brochure
I have tried to load the swf file of the brochure into another swf file that controls the zoom and pan but i am unable to get this to work. Does anyone know of any other way to acheive the desired result.

Online Flickable Interactive Brochure ...
Im looking to do one of these interactive brochures which you see online with the pages which turn like a real brochure (which are flash files)... but importantly i need it to be on a CD / cd-rom too.
The company i will prob use is zmags.com
here's an example of one brochure:

- i spoke to someone at zmags earlier and they said it is possible to put these files to a cd just from the web page ... but they don't do this themselves and 'didn't know where their clients had these cd's done'.
So my question is - can somebody advise where i can get this done and is it just created using the webpage coding?

Intricate Brochure Unfolding Onscreen
I know it is possible to flip pages like a book. Is it possible to digitally "open" tri-fold, gate-fold and roll-fold brochures. They don't just open right to left. I'm creating a portfolio on disc for clients and am not even sure Flash is the program I should be using. Please help.
Create, Delete, Create Event Handlers
Hi,
At the moment I create an onEnterFrame function to ease a movie clip into view. I then delete it. I want to be able to recreate a similar onEnterFrame function later to swoosh the movie clip out of view. At the moment weird things happen when I try and do the second onEnterFrame. Am I doing something illegal here?
I know I could put this all in the original onEnterFrame, but I don't wanna be wasting processor time doing an if statement every frame to work out if it's time to swoosh out the movieclip. Or should I not worry because that's negligible cpu time?

Create Java Pop Up From Flash Index Site To Standalone Flash Popup
Want bad help to create a javapop up link from index.htm flash movie with a enter button that leads to the other .swf that is a popup window with another .swf. How do I do that.
One more thing is there a real good downloadable on how to make "news" scrolls in flash the ones I have seen did not please me.
And is there a way to connect that "news" feed scroller to a text dokument for easier updates instead of having to redo the thing in the .fla file

I am looking for a FLASH developer to create a custom FLASH Intro for my gaming clan forums.

What we would like in the Intro:
- That it somehow complements our forums
- Includes the clan name
- Looks professional and loads within reasonable time

Flash CS3 With Word 2007 - Unable To Create Flash Object
Hey, I wondered if someone had noticed this problem before. I used a typical install of Flash CS3, as well as Word 07' around the same time ages ago (not really important, but...). Anyhow I was writing up a simple document the other day and needed to throw a flash file into it. When I tried to insert a Flash Object, I got this nifty error:

If Word is looking for Flash, it's installed to the default Flash CS3 installation folder.

How Can I Get Flash To Create <*br>?

Erm, having a bit of trouble and wondering if there is an easy answer. I have built an application in flash MX which helps me edit my HTML website. The website runs from a database.
My problem is, when I press enter in a textbox it creates <*p><*/p> tags but I want it to just insert a <*br>.
Any ideas anyone??

Can You Create A PDF From Within Flash?
I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to create a PDF doc from within flash.
Here's what I have. I have an xml file that I use to populate content inside my flash movies. I want to be able to put a link/button in my movie that say's create PDF. Then take the xml content and turn it into a PDF and send that to the user in a new window.
Any ideas on how to pull this off or if it is even possible?

Can one create a self executing (.exe) file from a .fla or must one use a thrird party software. In otherwords a file that does not need the flash plugin to run.. I can not remember how this is done.

I'm About To Create A Flash.asp Pag
I'm about to create a flash.asp page that pulls db results based on flash form values. I've done this before many ..many... many times with ASP. Since i'm working on a windows server i was wondering if flash is all I need to acomplish what I want to do which is play an external swf in the main swf which would display the db results. I was thinking that i could do this but didn't know about the problems associated with it.. and that is:
have the flash call an asp function in the same page and that function retreive the data from the db then the mc would get populated with data load. Is that possible to have it run smooth, or is there a better way?

It says in the help file that i can publish my flash mx movie for flash player 4 and will fix most of the scripting problems. However, when i publish, it still gives me scripting errors and does not work properly. All the code in the movie is code which says can be fixed when publishing, such as .dot syntax.
Im working on a project for the government and they only have flash4. It will take me forever to fix all my code to make it work in flash4, so help would be very much appreciated in fixing this problem.

What Is The Best Way To Create A Flash Site?
I wonder what is the best way to create a flash site. Starting with a HTML creater (by example: Dreamweaver), and there to insert flash objects, or is it better to create in Flash one big movie, as big as the page you want to make (maybe: 800x600) with everything included like pull-down menu's, different mouse pointers and trails, picture animations etc.
Who has some experience with this???
