Hi,

I'm new here...It seems to be a very informative site!

I'm thinking of starting up a site, and I'm trying out various software to make flash animations. So far I've tried the Coffeecup Firestarter (ok, but pretty basic, isn't it?), and I've also downloaded trial versions of Swish 2.0, KoolMoves and 3D Flash Animator. I will try them out tomorrow (it's pretty late now!).

Which one of these programs do you recommend? It would be interesting to hear. I mean, I will probably get my own opinion after trying them, but I'm interested in knowing what people in general thinks. Also, if you know any other software in the same price range (say, $ 50), I would appreciate if you let me know.

hi, i have a problem about the difference between
Flash MX and Swish v.2...!!????? i mean, what does Swish do?
i was just about to buy Flash until i found Swish, it costs
$30 something only but seems like it can do everything Flash does and it doesnt need Flash to use it!?
i also have question about Adobe LiveMotion 2.0, people said it can make animation like Flah but how to play it on a website? if you check out the official LiveMotion site you'll see that Adobe actually use Flash player to play their LM animation...then what's the point of LiveMotion???

What Software Do You Use?
Hi,
I am looking for a software that will do webcam capture and also desktop capture and then ftp the images up to a site directory.
I found one called ivista that will do this, but its one of those software packages that you can only use the registration number one time. I've used this type of setup before and if you need to use a different computer or it get corrupted for some reason, you have to call the company and get a new number. Also, like me, your out of luck when its not office hours or God forbid, the company goes out of business. Sorry, I'm going on and on, you get the idea.
What software do you use or know of that can do these tasks?

I'm planning to get a 3D builder. Which on of them consider the reasonably the best. Like in image editor Photoshop comes first and ex-cetera. Thanks for your opinion and advice. I want to interface it with Flash.

I have used Flash in the past, and I always embedded my .swf files in Dreamweaver pages to be viewed properly on the net. Now, I am at a company doing some database administration and they need a marketing presentation done in Flash. Im the only one who knows how to do it. But, I need to tell them exactly what to buy. The money isnt an issue, I just need to have justification. Im thinking Flash MX and Frontpage......any ideas??? Im not using HTML, just want to properly display the Flash movies I create.

Hope you’re having great weekend.

Anybody knows any good 3D animation maker. I’m totally not familiar with 3D at all and was wondering if anybody can even give me basic on how it works. Like do I just import an image and the program animated to 3d for me? Is that possible? Is that how it works? Or how?

in Flash(any version of MX, MX2004,8), when we drag a symbol out of the Library, set its property an MC or a BTN in the Property panel, the software, including the AS, will treat it as a true MC or BTN, even if its original property(when created) isnt so. is it a BUG? if not how to apply it to practical uses?

What 3D Software Do I Want
I wanna make 3D objects that I can rotate and move the camera around. I wanna be able to draw these objects by connecting lines along x,y,z grids. I also don't want to have to base my 3D images on pre-made shapes.

so for example, I would want to create a rotating image, that I create.

I have read through a few of the other posts about 3d software but need some further assistance.

i need a 3d package that can make 3d models to scale whilst render adequately, I am currently using rhino 2 which is ok but basic.

However I also use flash mx 2k and would like to use some 3d in my sites and animations. I am not likely to do fantasy type animation or models, mainly just product design.

Any recommendations on software, lightwave, max, maya or others, xsi seems a bit like over kill?

Flash MX And My Software Please Help Me?

I am using my brothers Flash MX and i also have Flash MX Server. Ok basically what i need is help on creating a chat using Flash MX and FLASH MX Server?

I want to be able to load the flash Mx server and when loaded onto my machine people can login to a chat that is using the Fllash mx server and if the MX server isnt running the chat cannot be loaded like chatspace where the server can be run on a machine then users can connect to it and login to the chat?

Please help any tutorials on this or how to do it i seen a post a few days ago with someone saying that Flash mx server can do what chatspace can do is this true please help

i've recently been trialling FlashMX (i'm a newbie) and i've found it good, although very complex. At the same time, i've been talking to a more experienced user who says that he prefers flash5 to MX. I'm just wondering about peoples' opinions: which is better (or why is one better than the other)

i can get flash MX fairly cheap for the academic price, so that's not really an issue, it's all about which actual software is better...

Hello everyone,
I have a problem with Flash 5 and Cinema 4D.
I made a "little man" in Cinema 4D from Maxon and i cant realize
what to do to put him in my Flash project.
The "man" is made with effects 2D...looks like a cartoon but this Cinema 4D don't teach me how to export it so i can import in Flash.

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO DO THIS WITH CINEMA 4D?

Ps: 3D Max is too much for me and that's why i use C4D!

I have been using Sound Edit 16 for a while. Unfortunately I lost the sound effect. Is there a better software to use for Flash and Director? I currently have Pro Tools, but never used it. Is this the proper kind of software to use with Macromedia's products? Where would be the best place to get stock music and sound effects? I am currently creating animations for a client and am in desperate need of sound files.

Must have the password protection, must run well in windows 98 at XP, and the performance of the original swf must be similar.
