Flash Projector Creating Blank Files
I am using Windows XP Pro SP1 and Flash Player 7 installed. The problem is that no matter for which swf file I create a projector exe, it creates a blank files of default width and height. I have searched many places but can't find a solution. Any help would be appreciated.

Do You Need Flash Player For Projector Files?
We are about to distribute some CDs with our website on them (which uses XML). I've published projector files for Mac and PC and they work fine on my computer. We just want to make sure everyone will be able to view the projectors, even if they don't have Flash Player on their system weather it be a Mac or PC.

1. When I create an .exe file, it plays in Flash Player - is there any code I can use in the actionscript to make it stay 'always on top' while it is playing? I don't want it fullscreen, I know how to do that, and how to make it stop, quit etc.

Auto-downloading Flash Player From Projector
Hey guys! I have a quickie. I`m using Flash MX 2004 to create a Flash-based interactive CD for my book. the Cd is completed however, when I butn the projector file to CD and open it, all the projector displays is a blank white screen and I have to manually go through and browse for the SWF file from the File command on the projector. Is there a way to make the projector file play automatically? I have an AUTOTUN function on the CD which kicks the projector (exe) file off with no problems, it`s just that the movie inside the projector doesn`t play on startup like it should. I`ve fxed the issue before by reinstalling FLASH MX and then exporting the projector. but after the CD is opened one or 2 times or opened on another computer without Flash Player installed (lik my gf`s old ass laptop) then I get the blank white screen again... Is there a way to fix this permanantly so that the movie plays as soon as the file is opened?

Also, I would like to know how to put something on the CD to automatically download Flash Player 7 to the user`s PC. I want to know which code I should put in the AUTORUN.inf file to download Flash player for people who might not have it. I think that might be why my movie doesn`t show from the beginning...

Also, since this CD is a CD-R and cannot be over-written, why is it that the first time my projector is launched, the movie plays but then the next time or on another computer, the projector only comes up with a White screen?

Can someone help me with this please?

Flash Player / Windows Projector View Default
When opening a Windows Projector file, the default view dimensions are set to "show all". As a result, when the Player/Projector window is expanded to fit the screen, the Flash content scales up (producing unwanted distortion to bitmap content). I would like to have the projector display the Flash file at 100% instead, so that there is no resizing of the Flash content.

Is there any action script that controls Player/Projector defaults?

The project I'm working on is a sales demo for a software product and I do not trust our sales staff to manually make the adjustment themselves when starting the demo. I would like the Player/Projector settings defined by the Flash file.

i dont know if my question was right. here's what i wanted to do. for instance i have a swf file currently playing in macromedia flash player then i created a projector for that. can i modify the output (the projector...)? like changing the icon. like in vb6 you can choose your desired icon. do i need to download or even purchase a flash projector? is it possible?

I wish to create a custom FLV player for my commercial website..

The player needs a preloader, full screen mode etc. Can anyone point me in the right direction of how to do this? I am a newb at Flash but am willing to learn to get this working.

But this is a paid for solution (for commercial) and I would much rather code myself for experience. Too difficult?

Creating A Kiosk Player In Flash
Hi Gang,

I'm using MX to create a rather large scale project, and one of the aspects I'm trying to achieve is the ability for the user to select from a list of movies (outside swf files.)Then have Flash MX write to a text file which movies the user has selcted, and in turn, use that text file as a playlist. Now, I'm pretty sure MX has these capabilities, I'm just not exactly sure on how to actionscript it yet. I'm also completely bogged down with other projects right now, so my spare time is limited. Does anyone know of a good tutorial, or website that might help me with this project? I figured there might be someone out there who's accomplished something similar with mp3 files?

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Creating A Flash CD-ROM That Plays In A CD Player
If anyone has time and they want to help me with this, I'd really appreciate it.

I've created a flash movie that lets the viewer click through and listen to 3 different songs (tracks).

I want the cd to play the three tracks if inserted into a cd player (car, home stereo, etc). These will be separate .WAV files.

I want my computer to autorun the .SWF when the CD is loaded into the cd drive, but I don't want the computer to start playing the first track automatically.

How can my computer avoid detecting and playing the .WAV files while still allowing the average cd player to do so?

im trying to create a music player in flash but have no clue in how to do it!
i have a basic player structure and all i need to do is add sounds and make it controlable.

I need help on making the play button play a track a stop button which stops the track. And to be able to jump between tracks (next track prev track buttons) I would also like the tracks selectable form a list. All tracks must be imbeded so no help with xml players i want the music to be secure inside the player.

i would also like the player to display the song its playing if pos!

Flash 7 Player Creating Problem
Hi,
I have developed a image gallery in flash 8 and published in flash 7 . It is taking data from external xml file.
It is working fine in my system. But in others system where flash 7 player is available it is showing nothing. When they do right click over opened swf file it shows flash player 7 . The same file when published in html working in everyone system.
Please suggest me some idea about it.

Creating A Web-based Flash Player Help

I am trying to create a "player" that will basically be loading html files that contain one swf per html page. So the html is coded to stay open for X time then the next one is loaded... I'm not sure how i'm going to achieve that so i'm looking for some help. The next concern i have is if the net goes down i'd like the swfs to be cached locally so that they will continue to play without internet, who would i set something like this up?

The player can work a couple of ways, either one html page containing a swf that will load movie clips via an xml file, or the way i mentioned above where the page will refresh itself after a certain period of time and display the next page (next swf file)....

Creating A Dynamic Flash Movie Player
Hey, I am looking to create a flash movie player kinda like the one YouTube uses. However, I am not sure how YouTube index their movie files.

For example, I have only seen flash movie players that use static XML files to index the movies. When someone uploads a movie to YouTube, does it update an XML file somewhere or something?

When the movies page is loaded, is a var sent to the movie player to tell it which movie to play and if it is, how is this done?

Creating A Mac Projector On A PC
We've created a presentation in Flash MX that will be distributed on CD. We're creating the presentation on a PC, but are exporing it as an EXE file AND a Mac Projector

Are there any probelms with creating a Mac Projector on a PC, and still have it run on a Mac?

My programmer mentioned something about a "fork" file, that migh not be created on a PC....is that anything to worry about

Hi all,
I am trying to create a movie and then the projector (.exe) of the same..
I do not want the Right Click Menu to be displayed in the Projector (.exe) file.

so I include FSCOMMAND(Showmenu, false)...
but then I cannot create a exe as the SWF file does not have the option to click on the File and then create the Projector (.exe) file...

How do i achieve them both...

I am using MX2004 on a mac OS X 10.2.8

I am unable to create Projector.exe files...
Mac projectors and swf are not a problem

Error message says either program not installed properly or have locked disks.
My disks ar Mac OS Extended format.

When hiding the menu on the projector is there a way to size the projector to fit the flash file properly. When I hide the menu on the projector it leave a white space at the top and bottom of the projector. Here is the a.s. I used to hide the menu:

Flash Projector - Remove "Macromedia Flash Player" Header
Hey everyone,

I am designing a CD Splash screen with Flash. I have exported it to a .exe file and it looks great. There is just one problem. I want to remove the "Macromedia Flash Player 6" border that is around it. Is there anyway to do this? I would like there to be no border.

If you are confused about which border I am talking about, it looks like a windows border with the "Minimize, Maximize and X" on the right and the Macromedia logo on the left that you can click to close, see about, move....etc.

Creating A Video Player With Dynamic Draggable Playlist. Is It Doable In Flash? Help Please
Hello Everyone,

I am scripting a video player and one of its functionalities is to be able to have a playlist that can be arranged by the user in any order user like. For Example, if there are lets say 5 videos within the playlist:

SONG 1
SONG 2
SONG 3
SONG 4
SONG 5

User can then change the order of the videos by clicking on any video and dragging it up or down just like windows mediaplayer and the player should play the videos in such order.

So far, I have been able to use the list component but am not sure if it will allow the dragging.

I would highly appreciate it if you guys can suggest what should I do to handle this functionality.

I have a .swf file and I want to create a projector using this file. But the problem is that when I had created this movie, I used FS command to not to show menu. As a result whenever I am opening the .swf file I am unable to see any menu to create a project. Accidently the .fla file is deleted from my machine. Is there any way to create a projector. Problems With Creating An .exe Projector With Some Swf
I always create .exe projectors by opening the flash file in flash 8 player, then going to File --> Create a projector

The problems is some flash files, when opened in flash player, do not have the toolbar at the top. How can I create a projector from such an .swf file? Can I have the toolbar appear somehow?

Creating Custom Projector Files?
I've never known there to be any special options when creating a projector file for a flash movie, however, I came accross a strange file when looking at someone's source.

The projector that they included along with the source did not look like your average projector:

It even has a custom file icon... however, when I use the source FLA to create a replica, or so it SHOULD be, projector... it comes out looking like your average, run of the mill, projector... like so:

Anyone know why there is the difference between the two, and how I could make a projector that looks more like the first?

Creating A Text File From Projector
From the research I've done it looks like I need a third party program to do this. Shared objects won't work because I need it to be easy to transport this project from one computer to another and sof files are pretty hidden.

Is there a program that any of you would recommend? *********** seems pretty cool, and does a bunch of other stuff too.

Creating Exe Projector Linked To Flv File For Cd Rom
I have a large flv video file that I want to create an exe projector file (a "click me to start" file for users) that is linked to and plays the flv video when you open the exe. These files would then be burned to a cd rom.

Does anyone know how to create the link from the exe projector to open the flv file for cd rom distribution.

I want to create a projector file that you will be able to enter your name (which will be able to be viewed on other scenes) but i wondering how i would do this with a projector file to make it save (like you do with a cookie on a web page) so it remebers it.

Running MX with 512MB RAM on PC, but get this message when creating projector file (for CD-rom use) with embedded video files

"Error creating Flash Movie. There was not enough memory available"

512MB isn't enough??

Could start chopping scenes and loading and unloading sub-clips, but that gets messy.

Is there any way to open a browser window with the standalone player (projector) and force the browser window to open in front on projector? Right now my windows are opening behind projector.
