Free Flash MP3 Player
I just finished up the first version of a Flash MP3 player that I have been working on. It can stream multiple MP3s and can easily be updated with an external XML file. I also wrote a PHP backend for it so that people can upload mp3s and edit the XML file from the web.

I have an example and all the source files up on my website. www.nickcb.com/programming.php

It is free to use. It works "as is" but would also be a good foundation if you wanted to build it in to a multimedia content management site.

I hope it is useful to someone and I would be interested on getting any feedback including any bugs that people find or any features that people think should be added.

Decent Free MP3 Flash Player? Can You Help?
So sorry if this has been asked a million times before, but I wanted some recent opinions of what is good or not... I've been doing some researching around on the internet and have been trying to work out which Flash based MP3 player would be best for my web site...

I have a selection of MP3s that are on my site, which showcases some music of mine. Ideally, I would like these to just be streamed, to stop them from being downloaded (ala MySpace). I post things up on music forums sometimes, and instead of putting a link to a MP3 on there I'd really like to put a link to my web site that would then trigger off an MP3 in the player - if you see what I mean?

Can anybody recommend a free MP3 Flash player that can stream my MP3s stored on my web site, as well as being able to trigger off any particular MP3 by passing a variable or URL to it?

Free Standing Flash Player
I've got 2 vista laptops. Mine, and another one.
Mine's been heavily modded with quite a lot of software and I now have to install flash on the other laptop to run a flash swf for a presentation.
I downloaded the flash 10 player from the adobe site, which install in ie, but on my machine it seems to load the swf in a stand alone window, no ie gubbins at all.
And that's what I want, but I can't work out how to make it happen.
Any ideas?

I'm looking for a 100% free Flash music player (no ads, no trademarks of original author, customisable interface). I just need the basic buttons (play/pause, stop, next, prev, volume) and show the artist/song title somewhere. I've searched all over the net without success. I'm trying to fit this player into a space measuring 173x173 pixels.

Moving Text On A Free-from Area ? (free Curve Scrolling)

I am trying to get some text to move inside a specific area.
I have attached a gif showing the wanted rute - inside the legs of the non-conform X-letter.

Is there a way to do this - i dont have any math on the movement of the X-legs.

1) I am kind of newbie, so where do i start out - please help.

Free Flash AS3 IDE?
My trial for flash CS3 ran out after I was working some projects. I have to wait for college to begin before I get free software from the IT department, so I was wondering what free and legal AS3 IDE's exist?

I'm looking for the best one out there that's been proven and is stable. All I do is use AS3, so I don't need any stage or drawing API stuff if that matters.

I'm just a hobbyist, so I don't wanna waste money for the CS3 version. I mean 699 USD is a rip-off.

So anyone suggestions or links to IDE's you guys use? I can't imagine all of you "bought" the full version.

Flash Player Installed, But Every Site Flash Player Required For Asks To Install Not Working At All
Hi all, wondering if someone would be kind enough to help me, PLEASE lol
Flash player asks to be installed everytime I go onto any site that requires it, I have installed it, it advises it has been sucessfully installed but when I go back to the page it asks again! Have had this problem for ages and have tried eveything I can think of! at witts end and customer service wont help as its a free product.
Any help would be greatfully appreciated.

I have visiting flashkit for about an year or so but it has not given me the type of content which i want!
When u click on tutorials section or any other,you get a 2 miles long page with tons of ads,piles of swf and the content is no more than 2 -3 lines.This is especially the case with tutorials.You have to go to next page only for 3 lines.

Free Flash AS3 Compiler?
I'm looking for a free or affordable flash AS3 compiler. I am trying to find either find an AS3 command line compiler that i can then run through a python script via a server side language like asp .net or a server side compiler of some sort.

Either way im tring to find a compiler that can compile a movie using as3 code using any language and i will worry about getting it to work via server side.

It needs to be in AS3 and i don't want to use the flex sdk. I have found a couple like haxe(haxe.org) although it requires not a direct compile and a tad modification to the code.

does anyone know of a good way how to create Flash content with .swf result for free? Text, video, pictures, animations and sounds are required but basically no actionscripting. One way is to make .pdf and then covert to .swf but this way no videos or animations can be used right?
