Button Question: Image Effect After Mouse Is Off The Button
I searched everywhere on the forum but I guess this is a basic question regarding the mouse effect.
I have no problem creating menus and buttons to do effects with mouse over and mouse down. But the question is, how do you keep the effect from NOT getting cut off when the mouse is rolled over to another button.
If you take a look at http://www.team3d.net for a button example, when the mouse is rolled off the button, the button smoothly goes back. I still don't get how you do this. Is it done with an ActionScript or can it be done by just a movie clip?

Would Like To Achieve An Effect Where An Image Follows Button Mouse-overs...
Hi, new to this board and hope to stick around
I only recently started using Flash and it's one helluva hard program to use so bear with me... =p
The effect I'm trying to get is say you have two buttons initially, A and B and a square box in the middle of them. When the user hovers over A, the square box shoots over and outlines the button. If the user hovers over B, the box goes over to that button and outlines it.
Basically having a graphic image following orders from a button mouse over action. I have NO clue how to do this so any help is appreciated =p.

Well, I have a problem:
When the mouse is over a button (buttonbatel)I need to change the opacity of a movieclip (fotobatel) to 70%, which already is at 40% and when the mouse is out of the button, it change back the picture to 40% of opacity. This with a FADE effect in the two positions of mouse (over & out button)
Can u help me with the action scripts for this?

Sparkle Image Effect And Button Sound Effect
Im trying to figure out how to make sparkle effects to images. Im new to this let me say first off but im not new to web design and htmls.
I also wanna know the button sound effect code. On 50 cent.com everytime you move over a link there is a gun cocking sound and then when you click the link it makes a gun shot noise. How was this achieved?

Right Mouse Button Effect
When you click the right mouse button on most flash pages, you see the same options. Quality, zoom etc.. However Http://www.woot.com has a pod-cast that does not have that. It has its own custom options and only the last one is the same as the rest that take you to macromedia's website. How did they do that?

Running Button (with Mouse Over Effect)

I want the effect in which product strip( movie with multiple product in a row) is running and if i take my mouse on that strip it should move either left or right ( depending the location of the mouse from center) and if i follow that strip it should slow down and on clicking on particuler product it ll show it's zoom. I Can't Pick My Mouse Over Image And Move It Without Moving The Whole Button
ok i have these buttons, that as you mouse over one button a description appears that is in a different spot. Now I did this once and for the life of me I can't figure out how i did it. Now I can't seem to move the second part of my mouse over text and even though I keep attempting to pick a place on my time line, it won't let me only move that object. What am I doing wrong?

Display Movie-clip With Image/text/button ..when Clicked On A Button
We had generated a template.
Template has 2 area
Buttons on left and right had side area is blank
on click of button we want to display a movie-clip having image/text and buttons for nvaigation.
We found that on click we can display the movie ...it displays image text is not diapled. Also we want to display buttons on the same.

Custom Button Mouse, Activating A Button?
I created a custom mouse, and made it so that when a user clicks, the mouse actually 'clicks'... to accomplish this [hide.mouse is on] I had to turn the cursor of the mouse into a button...so that when the user clicks it activates the 'click'
Now, I am trying to make it so that the user can use this cursor to click on a button...however, The cursor itself is a button! So the only way the user can activate the button is by double clicking really really fast. Is there another way to do what I am trying to do?

OnPress Doesn't Work If The Mouse Button Is Pressed Again But The Mouse Is Not Moved.
I have a very simple piece of code but it has one very annoying bug. When I press the button a second time, the code doesn't work. The only way to get the code to work is by moving the mouse a tiny bit, or moving the mouse off the button and back on.
Does anyone know a way to make a button that can be clicked many times without moving the mouse?

Basically I had some buttons with a on mouse out, and on mouse over effects.
I wanted each button to load a different scene of the movie.
For some reason the on mouse over and mouse out button effects work until I link them to load a scene in the movie.
If you download the following file you can see this.

When The Mouse Button Is Down....? Help
Hi All,
first off I'm using flash 5
here's a (probably simple to solve) problem I'm having:
I'm doing a drag n drop quiz, and want to add feedback for the user. i.e. the drop target animates to indicate a "hotspot".
trouble is, when the mouse is down, and I'm dragging the movie clip, it doesn't seem to trigger any events: i.e. for buttons, the mouse-over state doesn't trigger.
I know how to get the drag & drop working, in fact, it works quite well, but the client wants the user to have feedback about the hotspots (i.e. animation indicating the areas in which you are able to drop the box you are dragging)
trouble is, when you are in the act of dragging (i.e. the mouse button is down) I can't seem to trigger _any_events to change anything....

Mouse Right Button
Hello flashers, I´ve got a very disappointing problem. When you play your movie, and click mouse right button, there is a menu with play, rewind, etc... The question is : Is there any way of disabling this menu? I have a two scened movie and when you click back in that f***ing menu, the movie goes crazy and it returns to scene one to the stop of the first movie clip!!

Mouse Over On A Button
I am very new, and my background is mostly in PL/SQL development for Oracle.
I am taking on some Flash projects in my personal time and I have a problem. I downloaded a template, and changed some things.
I have changed a button to reflect the word "Contacts" but when I mouse over it, it changes the text to "Clients" which was the buttons original name.
This must be simple, but I am looking past it. How do I go about changing this?

Mouse Over Button Help
Hello,
I am using Macromedia Flash 8. I am trying to have active buttons overtop of a greyed out static image/background.
I have created a layer for the background and I have created a layer for the buttons.
I have created the buttons and placed them over top of the background.
Basically I want the areas of the greyed out background to become colorized when the mouse goes over and an active link to take the viewer to a specified URL with a _blank target.
I haven't used flash in years and I know this is very basic. I'm probably one or two steps away, but I have been fighting with this for most of the day and I feel the need to ask for some help.
So what do I need to do? The colorized buttons need to be invisible until the mouse moves over them, remain colorized while the button is down and hit. Return to invisible when the mouse moves away from them.

So, like a lot of ppl here, I'm pretty new to AS 3.0 and am having trouble adjusting from my 2.0 ways. I've got some navigation buttons that do some animations on rollover and rollout. There are 6 of them and I'd like to reuse the functions, since they are all the same, but can't do it like I'd normally do it in 2.0.
in 2.0 I'd do:

and by doing it like that i'd send my raiseLiquid method the object that was rolled over. that way, I could repeat it for all my buttons.
But I guess that can't be done in 3.0 with EventHandlers...since I didn't think there was a way to pass a parameter (like "this") to the function called during an event. So how are you supposed to make a collection of buttons all use the same function? My code is below, but you'll notice it only works for "button1". What if I want a "button2" to call the same functions (lowerLiquid and raiseLiquid) and have it use button2's info? It seems wasteful to write new methods specifically for button2. Is there a correct way to do this kind of thing in 3.0? Thanks for any help on this.

Button To Mouse.
Hey guys and girls.
I’m a complete NOOB when it comes to actionscrip so I hope some1 would be able to help me out here.
What I need to do is to make a script to move a button to the mouse cursor if the curser is a curtain distance from the button. And then move back again to the original position (witch is fixed) when the mouse curser moves (and is a surtian distance) away from the button.
Is this possible?

Mouse Over/off Button...
Okay, so here's my problem.
I have this button. When I move my mouse on top of the button (or over it, depends on how you'd like to call it ), some text should appear next to it. I've already done that. I made a movieclip, and put it on the "over" state.
So when you go over the button, the text appears from OUT of the button and moves a little bit to the right, next to the button. But when my mouse goes OFF the button, the text just disappears. Which is logical ofcourse. But here's my question:
How can I make the text go left again and disappear back into the button when my mouse goes OFF the button?

This Button Effect
hi there,
suppose you have two layered swf,the top layer hides the image in the second layer..
when you roll the mouse over the movie, the top layer slowly breaks into pieces and the image becomes visible..

I need some assistance. I have a site that I need to have 5 buttons that fade to 100% alpha upon rollover and also display text to the right of these buttons. I have figured out how to fade the buttons on rollover, but how do I get the text to appear for each button?
