Flash :: Can I Change PHP Via Flash?

How To Change Stacking Of Buttons (or How To Change Play To Pause Button)?
My problem is I want to have one button for play and pause music playing in Flash.

Music starts automaticaly, so Pause button is visible. When user presses Pause button, I want to show him Play button on the top of Pause button.

Shortly: Music is playing = visible Pause button
Music is paused = visible Play button

Is anywhere tutorial or explanation.

Button Change Color On Select, Then Change Back
I have 3 buttons, named but,but2,but3. What I want is if you click a button it changes color to show what page your on. But when you click a different button now that one is highlighted and the original one goes back to the original color. Here's the code.

I have created a movie where there are buttons I am calling the movie clip from the library by clicking the the button . Each movie clip is high in file size due to its large graphics. So, I have put a preloader into the first frame of each movie clip. The problem is, how can I change the order of the moive clip that is called inside the movie. How To Change A .MOV Into A Flash MC ?
I'm not sure if this is the best place to post this question, but here goes.

I made a short video, about 4 meg's in size, and imported it into Flash 5. I can see the starting frame of the video, but it's not doing anything when I check it in my browser.

The video is just some moving water... I was hoping to trim it up inside of Flash. I planed to shorten the length of the video and have it loop, it would eventualy be masked and appear to be inside a glass.

What do I need to do ?

I'm still a newbie in Flash, so I hope to get some basic and simple help. I hope this isn't too hard to do, if anybody has the knowledge on this it would be appreciated greatly.

Flash 8 Bug Or Change?
Not sure if this is a bug or not, but I was doing some simple painting with the paintbrush & for some reason when I convert to a graphic & start painting in a new frame, my painting doesn't work. I'm thinking this is a glitch, because if I try painting in various random places really broad, it'll give me some wacked out shape. Totally annoying, anyone else have this problem??

Change From Flash 4 To Mx
i just switched from flash 4 to mx, so i'm still learning the differences in the scripting. this is a simple code to attach a duplicating movie to a cursor. it used to work for me in 4, but now won't do anything in mx, even though it says there are no errors in the script. i'm sure it is just a matter of changing the second frame around a little, but i'm not sure how or why:

first frame:
setProperty("cur", _visible, "0");
startDrag("cur", true);

second frame:
a = a + 1;
rot = rot + 24;
if (a = 15 ) {a=0; rot=0;}
duplicateMovieClip(cur,"cur"+a,a);
setProperty("cur"+a,_rotation,rot)

Change Memory Available To Flash
I have been getting an error in FLash 5 that says I have insufficient memory to place a movie clip in my main timeline. It also says to quit Flash and use the Get Info command in the Finder to allocate more memory to Flash. My system has over 780MB RAM so I should be able to do this. I just don't know what the flippin Finder is, and where the Get Info command is either.

Change Cursor In Flash?
I usually use director and to change the cursor to one of the other predefined ones, in lingo if I want the cursor 2 in the movie and then the cursor 280 on roll overI would do this :

I would do a movie script

on startmovie
cursor 2
end startmovie

and then a behavior for my object

on mouseWithin
cursor 280
end mouseWithin

on mouseLeave
cursor 2
end mouseLeave

are there some similar commads in flash?
I would like to use the cursor 2 ( cross)

I have a website that has a live help section. It incorporates a "fly-thru" help button that users can click on to activate the live help. The page also has SWF files. Why Does Flash Text Change In Different Os's?
Hey guys.. got a question.

how come in windows the text stays the same if you create a dynamic text; textfield and have text in it, with render text as html, but when you switch to OSX on a mac and you view the site, the text not longer stays the same and bolds it all???

tried
windows
ie 7, firefox2, opera
-everything stays normal and how it should look

on macosx
safari, firefox2
- All the FONT BOLDS completely

--- i played around with some settings in flash, but that did not fix why the mac is defaulting all fonts bold in flash..

it seems mac's are defaulting to their own stylesheet or something.

Color Change From .psd To Flash
Does anyone know if flash has a built in optimization that it runs whenever you publish something? I am having my colors fade from photoshop to flash and I am trying to figure out why. I am creating/re-touching in photoshop then taking into flash to add to my layout. My imagery is converted to SRGB before it is brought in to flash, but for some reason it is coming up less sharp once live than it was in the originally optimized image.

Any thoughts?

Sorry, this is lame but I'm just starting.

I have a template with a flash header. I want to change the pictures that came with the template to my own. I'm in the library in flash and I double click on the first pic I want to replace. I figure I'll just click on the jpg of my own to replace it.

Nope.

It's asking for a bitmap, and when I go to the folder where all my new pics are, nothing comes up as available. I also don't know if I should be "updating" or "importing". Either way, nothing comes up as an available change.

I've also noticed that the picture I want to replace isn't even in the image folder along with the main picture in the source flash. This doesn't make sense to me either, but nothing seems to be very common sensical with this program.

Is that enough info for someone to help me? Please?
