Flash Banners
I'm doing some advertising for a Bridal Show coming up in August. I've been hired to do pretty much all of the advertising, web, print, tv, etc. I'm finished with my flash banner but want to know if there are any good ways of exporting it so the end user doesn't have to worry about compatibility issues? The last thing I want is for someone to visit a site that the banner will be posted on and not be able to see it.
Should I just keep it as a .swf or export it as something else?

Flash Banners
Good day chaps,
Ive recently started dabbling with flash, after fireworks file sizes were becoming far to big.

Basically ive made a basic banner/signature, which i intend to use on forums. But im having a hard time linking the file so it will show. It seems to only show the link to the file, and not the actual file itself.

do i need some special tags for it to show or somthing?

Hey..

I have made 6 flash banners and a flash website.

I am going to put both the flash website and banners into dreamweaver.

I need the 6 flash banners to appear randomly on my website (rotate?).. Does anyone know how to do this?.. I heard you can out some javascript code for it?..

I also want the banner ads to link to 2 different games... 3 banner ads link to one game and the other 3 to another game..

Anyone knows anything about this?..

I was wondering if there was a site where flash themes/banners etc can be
bought similar to sites where images can be purchased. I have no experience
with flash and often come up with a need for a flash banner or heading for
the site so I was wondering if there was somewhere that a customised one can
be bought without the need to involve a designer. And of course they must
not be tacky :-)

Flash Banners And PHP...
Hey Flash ppl... LOL, I have a nice flash banner I did for my gaming clans website. The issue is that it reload everytime anyone goes to a new topic, post something or does anything that reloads the page. Is there a script out there that I can place to get around that? Flash Banners
basically use flash to make educational animations so I don’t have to worry too much about the size of my movies or load times like you do for the web.

Now I want to make a banner animation for a website, so I now have to take into consideration the load time. I don’t want it to take to long for the movies to load. I know I have to streamline my animations but not sure how. I was thinking that since I want the animations to continuously play while you are on the page, my animation file is going to huge and will take to long to load.

The only solution that I have thought of so far is to ad a movie clip to each keyframe. The movie in keyframe 1 loads and plays, when finished it plays the movie in keyframe 2 and so on. Is this the correct way or am I going about this wrong? Also can I set it to load the movies in each keyframe while the other movies are playing so that the transitions between keyframes are seamless without having to wait for each movie to load separately? If I am remebering correctly from a flash class that I took years ago I'm thinking that I want to use levels for this. I've googled "using levels in flash" but came up short ???

Advanced Flash Banners
You've seen those flash banners haven't you? You roll over the Flash banner and more content pops down or appears below the banner ad.

I have a flash 468x60 banner and I'd like to make sure that the safe effect happens. A person rolls over the 468x60 banner.. then additional content pops up (flash content) below the banner.

Is this done by a hide/visible command? I'm not sure what type of Actionscript or command I'm supposed to use for this effect.

Is this done by calling a different flash movie and placing it at a certaing position using dhtml/javascript?
Is this just done with dhtml, javascript using layers?
How does this work if your flash banner file is only 468x60?

If so, does anyone know a good tutorial for such an effect.

Inserting Banners In Flash

Html For Flash Banners?
aloha,

I would like to use my flash banner as my signature on a message board (ez boards to be precise), I also want to link that banner back to my website.
The .swf file has been uploaded to my server.

I know what the html code is for a simple banner, I'm rusty but I think it goes like this..

Website Flash Banners Using XML
Heya =]

Ive created three flash banners that are going to be used on a website, advertising about there company to be at the top of the webpage.

so in total i want about three different images (the banners) to load after eachother , but i want to do this using XML so the guy whos asked me to do it can easily change the images by editing the XML file if you get me

Problem is i dont have a clue where to start, ive experience XML files but im a total noob at it, so if someone could guide me through the process of doing what i need to do i would be entirely grateful,

Overlapping Flash Banners
Hi guys,

I've been trying to work this out for ages! Does anyone know how to create flash banners that overlap or move other content on a web page or extend outside their their normal swf dimensions? Like this: http://observer.guardian.co.uk/magazine/

Flash Banners Not Working In IE7
Hi,

On our websites we sell advertising space and allow our customers to use flash banners as advertising. We have had this system in place for several years, but all of a sudden it has stopped working in IE7, much to the displeasure of our customer. The system we have had in place is that we ask our customers to put the following action script in their banner:

on (press)
{
getURL("fscommand:click");
}

When the banner is clicked it calls the associated java script:

function Banner1234_DoFSCommand(command, args)

if (command == 'click')
{
window.open('http://www.website.com')
}
}

This use to work in IE7, but doesn't seem to any more. This system still works in FireFox, Opera, Chrome, Safari and IE6. If anyone has any idea why this would no longer works in IE7 it would be much appreciated, and any kind of work around would be fantastic.

Clickable Flash Banners
PLEASE help! I've seen loads of posts about how to make a button and create hyperlinks and I can do that. But what I want is to make my whole banner clickable to one URL.
I've tried making a button the size of my banner on the top layer from a rectangle with a transparent background to it but this doesn't work.
How can I do it?

Rotating Banners In Flash?
Hi guys and girls!

For a site I'm currently making, I need to put in a rotating banner with swf files in - I found a js script that helps do this but I can't get it configured right at all, eventually the timing goes all wrong and movies cut between eachother half way through.

Anyway, I was wondering if there was anyway Flash could help me. In theory, I'm thinking of creating the banners seperately, and then importing them into a new movie and put each banner onto a seperate frame. So, I was wondering if there was any way of delaying a frame for 30 seconds or so (enough time to display the banner) and then move on to the next frame, pause for 30 seconds, and so on.

I hope that I've explained myself properly, but in case I haven't then an example of what I'm trying to do can be found at http://www.tidy.com/ev/bannerad_rotater_mx2004.html - here you can see it's just one Flash movie that displays different banners in order.

Expandable Flash Banners
hey guys -

i have to make a banner that expands over the website it sits in to reveal more content. i've never made one before so i was wondering a few things.

1) is there anything special i'd have to do to the flash to make it work?

2) it looks like the banner sits in a css layer that's over top the rest of the site, is that correct?
