Counting Down To Exams...
Hey, I'm confused! I was creating a counter for my exams just so I'm aware of how much revision time I have left... well I got so much, and it works, until you get into June.
I pretty much guessed the code from logic, but it only counts down for May, then in june it goes all eurg!?

So far I have 3 dynamic text boxes... stats1_txt, geog_txt and bya3_txt
stats_1 is on 24th May, at 1:00PM
Geography is on 26th May, at 9:00AM
and BYA3 is on 5th June at 9:00AM

Adobe CS3 Exams
With the release of cs4 does anyone know how much longer they will still be running the cs3 exams,

I have not long started to learn flash cs3 and want to sit the exam and need to know.

Flash From Creating Exams

I am an ESL teacher - That's Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages. I have had some experience with FLASH 4. I have FLASH MX and I've never used it. Yep. My question is this: I am wanting to create an interactive website for language learners. Basically a quiz or exam type environment. Such as found here: http://a4esl.org/q/f/z/zz13mlc.htm

I am looking for a Macromedia program that will allow me to create the typo of quiz that keeps track of number of questions answered, and the percentage correct as the student progresses through the quiz. Then giving a final score. This is at the first link I listed.

Does Macromedia make a program to accomplish this easily? I notice a new product they have out called eLearning suite or Authorware 7. Willl this do it?

MX Certification - Please Help
PLEASE HELP!
If anyone could tell me what the MX Designer Certification test is like I would be greatly obliged! I need to obtain this certification for my employer. Failing the test is NOT an option. After reading some posts on FlashKit, I'm really scared now. The study guide and sample test on Macromedia.com is of little to no help. The study guide book would be awesome -- IF IT WAS ALREADY PUBLISHED IN THE U.S.! If anyone has taken the test and could provide me with an idea of what it is like, i.e. exactly how difficult the actions script questions are -- so on and so forth -- I will be so grateful. Please! Note that I am taking the Designer test. I'm sure that's going to make a difference.

I am not sure if this is the right place to post this but....

I really want to learn Flash. My job will pay for it, but only if the courses lead to some type of certification. Does anyone know of anyplace in NYC that offers a certificate in Flash development? I really appreciate any help.

I hope someone can help me. I would like to take the Macromedia flash 8 developer certification exam. Adobe.com only has info on the mx developer exam. Although Thompsom Prometric(http://www.prometric.com) has the flash 8 exam listed. Has anyone here done the exam, and if so which resources or books should I use? I have found this book:(Macromedia Flash 8 Certified Developer Study Guide) , but almost no one has it.

Any help would be greatly apprecited.

Is anyone here a certified Flash Developer? And if so is it Flash 5 or Flash MX? again why can't I find any information on the macromedia site about the Flash MX Developer exam? Is it worth doing? Please answer some or all of these questions.

Really in all actuallity I need truth here. What are the chances of me looking better after I get the certification? Designer Certification that is. After the Developer then even a macromedia professional. Has anyone obtain more something? Or is macromedia looking for some extra dough here? One more question is the designer cert hard?

and if so, would you be willing to share some helpful hints and/or tips for the exam?

I'm getting ready to take it soon, but don't think I'm ready yet. $150 is a bit much to waste on a test that I feel I'm not prepared for.

I am looking into the macromedia designer certification, and was wondering does anybody know a good place for sample tests and questions? Macromedia has 10 in the sample test section, but I would like a little more prep than that.

I have been using Flash for awhile and recently noticed that they are offering a certification exam. So far, I have not delved to deeply into actionscript and was wondering if someone knew of a good book(s) that would help me prepare for the exam. Even if I do not go for the certification, at least I would learn more about the actionscript.

I am going to take Macromedia's Flash MX Designer certification test Friday the 16th, and I'm very worried about its difficulty. It is a $150 test, and my employer is paying for it. Goofing up would look pretty bad.

1.Does flash designer certification will help me to stand out in job hunting?
I have ACE in photoshop cs, seems not helpful at all.
2.where you guys look for web/design/develop position? I use monster.com dice.com and hotjobs.com, seem not very effective.

Flash Certification (ACE) Worth It?
Hi, I am brand new to this forum and am considering going into Flash development. I have been a helpdesk analyst for the past 2 years and have always been interested in development/programming.

I was wondering whether or not anyone feels it is worth to get the adobe flash developer certification and or flash designer certifications (ACE) to help get my foot through the door in this field. I have middle knowledge of Flash; however I want my career to go in this direction and pursue it. I have no previous design/development experience since I have been doing helpdesk...any help or advise would be greatly appreciated...

is there any certification guide available for flash 8? previously there was seperate exams for designer and developer now i believe it's combined to a single exam where both developing and designing skills will be tested. I'm completely unaware how my preperations should be and also i don't find any details about the minimum scores to get certified.the preperation guide pdf availabe in the site just gives an outline about the exam which will not be helpful.so kindly let me know some information about this and isd there anyone who have attempted this test?

I took it this morning and failed. Been feeling extremely depressed since for some reason. I think it's because I feel that i'm not a newbie by any means and have learned a great deal in the past year as well so I shouldnt' have had problems with it.

All the study material and study guide was very very misleading (waste of $$$ as well)

So if anyone out there has taken it, could you please recomend a good source for info on this cuz I know the study guide like the back of my hand and it was not even 10% of the exam.
