Getting Image From Database With Bouncing And Rotation Viewing

a guy(deamothul) helped me how to make bouncing an image yesterday.
i really thanx to this helping.
but i want to make more enhanced viewing from these matters...
as you will see one images(red shirt), is not going to use.

Anyone Viewing This Swf Can Change It For Everyone Viewing
Greetings,
I dont post much because usually I can just search for my question and I'll get an answer within minutes. However I was not even real sure how to ask this question in the form of a search so I guess it would be best to describe how it would work.
Is the following possible with flash?
4 people are viewing the same web page with the same swf file. The movie contains 4 blocks that each time you click on it, it changes to a different color.
One person clicks on one block and it turns blue, then immediately the other three people viewing the same web page see one block turn blue because of an action someone else across the world did.
Is this possible?
I have a proficiency level with sharedObjects but I think thats strictly a local technology that works sort of like registry keys. I suppose what I'm looking for is a way for every user in the world who sees this web page to share a variable list. How do I do that?

Database Driven Design Database?
Do forgive my vague query in the title here.
Greetings all. I'm new to the site. Have searched this site and others and did a lot of googling but haven't found what I'm looking for. Perhaps because the query is wrong.
There are two things I would like to accomplish:
1.
I have an archive of over 250 designs which I have titled in a specific alphanumerical order.
I'd like to put up a "catalog" of these designs online on my site (which is the site I want to create).
The functionality should be somewhat like this:
The 250 designs would be broken down into 3 categories.
Each category will have x number of designs (around 80 to 100).
A scrolling navigation for the designs is what I need. Although I have done a scrolling menu in the past, I've never done anything for so many designs.
The designs are already sitting on the server in the database.
I know that I can create the scroll menu such that once the thumbnail in the scrolling menu is clicked, it'll open another section of the page and load the larger version of the design. This is however tedious to do for over 200 designs.
I'm looking for a way that when the mouse clicks on the thumbnail, the place where the full scale of the design would be displayed knows which design to display.
2. The second part of this site should have search capability. For instance, if I key in the following code: SFA-1205 (which is a design number), it can search the database and display the design in the same viewable area I had designated for the first step.
Anyone any ideas?

Okay, I can't get the right anwser on this one, please help! All I have is one movie loading into another movie. The position and size are fine on the new movie that is loaded in but when it is loaded you have to scroll up to get to the top of the movie. Both movies are forms that need to be filled out. When you are done with the 1st form you hit the next button which opens up the 2nd form to be filled out. But since you were at the bottom of the 1st movie(form) when you loaded the 2nd movie(form), the 2nd movie opens at the bottom instead of the top so you have to scroll up. Anyway to avoid this from happening.

I'm wondering something. When you make a flash site and choose a font (something other than anyone else might have), will that font you chose show up when others view it and don't have that font in the font files?

Viewing All Layers At Once
The movie is made of a couple of layers with text, plus several layers with pictures – 14 layers in total. As one layer is becoming fully visible, a couple of others are at different stages of fade in or fade out and all other layers are invisible, becoming “live” later along the time line.
As I needed to add more pictures, it was necessary to have an idea where the previous pictures were located but I found no way to see all the pictures at once.
The square “show all layers as outlines” symbol does not help, because it only shows the pictures as outlines if the play head is at the correct position for that particular layer.
Is there any way to see the position of all pictures on all layers at once, independently of the position of the play head? Thank you

Pic Viewing Suggestions...
Hi there all
I have a website with a bunch of thumbnails on it. I would like to open them up in a new browser window, but can I do it so that the browser automatically resizes with each pic (as they're aren't all the same size)?
Alternatively, any other way to do it, pulling the Jpgs into Flash (instead of having 'em sat in the library)?

Mac Viewing Problems
morning all
some of our mac users are having trouble viewing some flash movies:

they say can see the menu movie okay, but when they click on item 2 (twenty four tweens) the screen goes blank and nothing loads.
they assure me that they have the latest Flash and IE downloads...
i have used relative urls and loadVariables() which i've heard may be a problem with macs.
any help from the mac users out there would be a bonus!

Mac Viewing Problem
This is my first post on flash kit so hello everyone.
Im a flash web designer and it recently came to light the some of the sites I've created are not displaying on mac computers. I have absolutely no clue when it comes to macs. Viewing Flash In The Web
Hi, am a beginner in flash. I published my flash work as an html file and I put it on the web and it works perfectly on my computer, but when I went to a different computer the flash did not work, I think the problem is that am using Flash 6 and the other computer was looking for Flash 5, I don't think it could play Flash 6. I tried playing with the publishing settings and that didn't work. So can you guys help me on how to make this work on any kind of computer. Thank for your help.

I have a button that opens a pdf. The pdf has a view fullscreen command in it but it doesn't always open on top or fullscreen when I use the button from flash. Is there a way for it always, key word, always, to open fullscreen and on top of the flash.

Hi i made a flash clip thing i want to put it on a site the server thingy i use is www.angelfire.c*m and when i upload the .fla file and go to the site it comes up with an error!

also i tried a different method my FE place use this thing www.e2bn.n*t and u have ur own hompage and it says that u can upload shockwage or flash files and when i uploaded the file it said this is not a file that can be displyaed or sum **** like that and then said Sorry, only images, audio, video, flash or shockwave files are allowed.........

Viewing Outside Properties
I need some help. I am trying to make a website that is 800 x 600.
I have a couple things that are outside those properties. When I hit F12 to publish the site I only see inside the 800 x 600 area. When it is published. When it is put up on the net, I can see what is outside the 800 x 600 area. What am I doing wrong.

Viewing Pictures
Hey people im fairly new to flash,but ive done a few projects so i know the basics. I was hoping someone could help me with something:
basically i have ten pictures and i want to find some way of navigating through them one by one (so all 10 dont take up the screen) by say using a slider or arrows or something, could someone maybe point me in the direction of good tutorials for this. I found one or two on this site but they wernt what i was after.
Also is it possible to allow the user to click on a picture and get a bigger picture pop-up?

Sorry this is similar to a newb thread I started, but that thread crashed and burned and I have more info now. I now have a website at x10hosting.com, and I know that this site has CGI, PHP, SSI, and Perl scripting, but I still do not know what this means to me. I want to use a flash file I have that has components such as a text field or whatever, have people come to my site, and fill it out. I then want to see what they enter. This could be emailed to me, saved somewhere, or better yet displayed somewhere back on the page itself. It doesn't really matter. What is the easiest way to do this? I have no problem using components, I just have no idea how to save the information people put in, but I have been informed I need one of the above scripting opportunities. What is the easiest way to accomplish this?

GetURL (viewing Pdf) From SWF
All,
This has been posted before, but I thought I'd start from scratch.
I have an application that will be published to a CD. Within this application, I want PDFs to load up in their own window when prompted. For example, I have a button that has this action: on (release) {getURL("spec.pdf", _blank);}
The HTML file works correctly...meaning the PDF pops up. But, when I'm testing the movie (SWF), it does not work.

File Name Viewing?
Hey, Im making a portal (An offline website for psp browsers) and want to make it in flash (usualy its made in html). My question is if its possible to detect the names of files on the memory stick (were it itself is located). This would allow me to make an easy flash viewer (Its hard to view them because you must type the directory into the browser) that lets you actualy SEE them. Another cool thing would be the ability to browse directories (Im not sure if flash has the power to actualy change files).
So in summary, is it possible for flash to return the names of files in certain folders? Is there any type of interaction between a system and flash? I mean, flash can save to a system's cache or w/e, it should be able to view files too.

Is This Possible (r.e. Viewing MC Contents)
Some of my movieclips have nothing in the first frames. But then when I position them on the stage I can't see anything except the little white circle positioner thing.
Is there some way to set the "default movieclip frame" to the last frame instead of the first, for viewing and positioning purposes.
It would make sense because often the last frame is where the movie content finishes and comes to a halt, not the first frame.

XML Not Loading On First Viewing
I have dyanmic text/images being loaded via XML, but most times the info does not load upon the first viewing.
If I refresh, or click another nav link and come back to the original page, it will load fine.
Is there a bottleneck or error in my code that would cause this to not load properly the first time it is viewed?

Actionscript Viewing
Hi all,
Someone told me once that every function in Flash has some associated actionscript being executed behind the scenes, e.g. converting a graphic to a symbol or drawing a pentagon on the stage. This person also told me that there is somewhere in which you can view said ActionScript as it's being executed. How can I do this? I deem such a feature necessary to do the projects I have been given, especially having very little experience with AS.

Viewing Flash In A PDF
Hi There.
I am hoping that someone will be able to help me on this one, but chances are they cant.
I have a swf file that is created and changes depending on a bunch of dynamic variables from a database. It generates a map which looks different depending on these variables. I am generating a pdf which goes along with the map, so that people can save their map to their harddrive. Is there anyway that I can, on the fly, export the swf file as another file format for inclusion in the pdf, or any other way of getting this information into the pdf?

Viewing Problems On Mac
I've just started my website in flash and i've done a guestbook- those are the two pages i've finished. However when i tested the guestbook in internet explorer and firefox it works and displays just fine, but when i tested in on a mac the text field's borders are not displayed and the buttons dont work or display their text. I've set the name and comments fields as required and that works just fine on windows in explorer and firefox but when i try entering text on the mac it gets entered but once i click on the submit button it still says name is required and it doesnt get sent. Also to view the guestbook nothing loads from the SQL database and that text field some how changes and allows me to enter text. The address is www.gcse.co.nr .

Viewing .FLV Files
Hello Everyone,
I have a few questions regarding the "YouTube" scenario:
1. When a video file is uploaded to youtube, does the flv file created call the original video in? In other words, is the original video live on the server?
2. My understanding of .FLV files is that they can only be viewed on a page via a .SWF file. True? Are there other ways to view a .FLV file on
(embedded) a page?

Have created a CD projector that looks great on my Apple display but when I go to a XP machine or Windows 98 the images look OK, just a little pixulated. I created the document wide 750px height 550px also it is a little slow on a 98 machine.

Viewing ASP In Flash
This is really ****ing me off. I cant view my ASP in Flash.
I have used

and nothing happens!! The syntax is all correct and the dynamic text Var is set to: _root.records .
Also I have made another asp page which shows all records from the database with a repeat region setting but it still doesnt show.
When I view the ASP page the source is

Viewing Swf On A Floppy
Hello, first I would like to say that for some time I have been coming here to look around and have done several of the tutorials - thank you Kirupa, this is a very nice site, your tutorials are so clear and easy to understand and have been very helpful to me
The reason why I am posting here is that I would very much appreciate any information on how to view swf files on media such as floppies or cdr's etc. because I've been surprised by how many problems my friends are having looking at the game I made.
You see, I made a small game and put in on floppies and handed it to my friends. Most of them can't see the swf file at all :O! I use a PC. If I put a swf file on a floppy disk and then give to one friend who has a Mac, will she be able to see the swf? I thought I would ask before giving her a copy.
My other friends who already have the floppy all own PC's and many can't see the swf on the floppy. Someone told me that I should always clothe my swf's on the floppy in html so they automatically play thru the recipient's browser. Is that true? Is there no other solution?
I thought that by telling my friends, when their PC prompted for what program to open the SWF file with, to just specifiy their browser, but that doesn't seem to work for many of them, which really surprised me. I don't understand why it's not working
Does anyone know of a sure-fire way lol how to tell people to open swf files that are on a floppy (or cdrom, etc.)? I guess most people see swf's via the web or emails. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me, very much appreicated !

Any Way Of Viewing Where A Particular Symbol Is Used?
I'm trying to debug a flash movie that was handed down to me from another person and need to know where each symbol in the library is used. I've done multiple searches at various forums to no avail, so I finally decided to try a post... The Flash 8 library panel only shows the number of times a particular symbol is used, not WHERE. So does anyone know if there is a way to find out short of using a decompiler?

If you open a jpg file and expand the window, the file will expand. Is there a way to do this with a swf file? That way if the swf file contains text, when you expand it the text will get bigger and easier to read.

Not Viewing Fonts In Swf
I'm having a problem that I don't know how to solve, the thing I write in my file don't appear in the swf, even windows fonts are not visible when the swf is generated. Is there some option in the export settings that may be doing this? Other thing is the anti-alias option that I select is not what really apears if I choose no anti-alias when I transform the text into a graphic and I go in to it to edit it it is a little blured.
Please i'm about to throw the computer out the window!
