I want to have layer pop in my flash movie that allows the user to click and drag it around the screen. I also want this to have minimize, maximize, and close buttons on it. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Window Drag, Minimize, And Close
I am working on this project that will show thumbnails as links and when you click on them the enlarge for viewing. The enlarged state is draggable and depending on the number open you can click to set depth. The problem I am having is the script to get it back to where it came from.

My buttons inside of my movieClips won't work (not sure why) and my close button work almost but it conflicts with my drag code a bit.

The fla included is real clean so hopefully it won't take anybody willing to take a look a great deal of time to see the problem.

Hello, I just posted my site, but there is one thing I'm concerned about. I'm trying to allow the user turn it from downsized wondow to a full screen window. As a quick bandaid I made two different swf files and two different html pages, the only difference between the two swfs is the button in the upper right hand corner, in code and symbols. If I can I would like to accomplish this without using 2 differnt swf files, two html files isn't a problem. The site is http://www.amphmix.com. Thanks in advance-J

Minimize/Maximize Encoder Window
When loading Adobe Flash Media Encoder 2.5, the START encoding button appears below and mostly out of sight on the screen. Maximizing the window allows us to "click" the START encoding button. Forcing the program to run in Maximize mode by using the PROPERTIES function of the shortcut does not work. Testing the Maximize function on other shorcuts on the desktop performs correctly. Only the Adobe Flash Media Encoder 2.5 shortcut does not work. Would there be a internal profile setting that is thawarting my shortcut setting? TIA

Increment Labeling To Attcahed Movieclip + Minimize/maximize

I am trying to attach a movieclip from the library using a button. I would like to attach many instances of the same movie clip using the same button. I have done this but my problems are:

1) how can I have a Label to the attached movieclip that changes its index no incrementally (ex: Label1,Label2,...n)?

2) how can minimize/maximize OR visible/inviciblea movieclip (content_mc) which resides in another movie clip. Will the content created in content_mc also be invisible?incase of using visible/invisible function?

i made a entrance page with a link to a frameset wich opens fullscreen, using javascript.
The new fullscreen frameset contains basically one swf as part of one frame. I want to make two buttons in flash which either minizes the window or closes the window.
For closing the window i tried
on (release) {
getURL("javascript:window.close()");
}
but that won't work because the swf is part of a html-page within a frameset.
how can i do that?

But I don't know how to remove controls using Resource hacker.I also tried "swf studio".But by using this "fscommand(exec)" is not working.I have used fscommand like this.

I am using trial version of "swf studio" thats why ".exe" file doesn't wrk after one day.I have tried "jugglor" too,I am facing same problem with this software.

Minimize A Click-drag Menu
experimenting with a click drag menu for navigating a site. however this menu sometimes gets in the way of text so i was thinking of adding a minimise function so it pops to, lets say, top right of the screen, no matter where the minimise function is called.

i'm pretty new at actionscript so i can only give pseudo-code as a rough guide to what the minimise function will do.

1)onclick, note the x and y coordinates of menu (this is where i need help, how can you ask for the x-y coordinate and create variables from them?)
2)apply x and y coordinate to formula to have it "slide" into place
3)scale down respectively until about 10% of original size / replace with "restore" button

btw, i have a sample code i have been staring at for a while (i didn't write it, would it come in useful?)

Good morning FlashKIT!!! I seem to be stumbling all over my AS this morning, and could use a shoulder to lean on...

when using attachMovie on my main timeline, how do I, successfully, make the attached movie draggable.

Drag .swf Close Button Not Working?
I'm loading zzz.swf into my main movie aaa.swf on level 3.
I have the usual startdrag stopdrag on a MC named "dog" within zzz.swf and it drags fine when called.

I also have a close button also within "dog" that says:
on (release) {
unloadMovieNum(_root,3);
}

I've tried:

on (release) {
unloadMovieNum(3);
}

Also:

on (release) {
unloadMovieNum(_root,level3);
}

none of these will unload zzz.swf???

Basically,
I want to load a .swf to level3 ,have it be draggable, and also have a button that unloads level3.

Drag&drop With Close Window Problem

im building an image gallery. i have icons in my main .swf file, and when you click one, a larger image loads (an external swf), using loadMovie(), or loadMovieNum (i tried both). each new large image is draggable, and has a button in it that unloads it. now this is my problem:
lets say i clicked an icon, and the large image loads: if i didnt drag it, the "close window" button works well. however, once i drag the window, the button no longer works.

its truly frustrating as i have no idea what might cause this problem.

ok i have made a small window to drag and drop ,,it works fine .but i have a button on this window ,,so when the user drags and then drops the window ,now i want the user to be able to close it ..i can set 1 or the other (1 it drags and rops but cannot close it ?2 it doesnt drag but you can close it ...i have tried many things to get this to work ..its slowing my work progress down and i cant figure it out ?? thanks for your help on this !

I DO NOT want it full screen, i still want to be able to see the windows start bar and clock and so on.

How Do You Maximize The Stage
Hi there, I got a dual monitor setup and I'm trying to get all the panels (including the flash window if that has to be viewable) to one monitor and only the stage on the other monitor, that means that on one monitor the monitor is completely white if the stage is at 100% and has the same resolution as the monitor.
I hope someone can be of asistance.

Something I thought would have been super easy is turning out to be difficult!!

I have a .exe projector file. (I am using MX 2004)
I know how to fullscreen using the fscommand, but I need the Windows bottom "start bar" to be available.
So my programme needs to be in a window.

But... when I autorun or click the .exe file. It randomly places the window on my screen.
The problem is that I want it to be maximized when run!!

Dose anyone know of any other script I could use.
Just a maximize screen = true type thing??

I have a Flash application of 140 .swfs. I am using a .exe projector file that calls all the other .swfs..

My issue is when the application is first started its at the document size of like 500x500 but if a user maximizes the window and then clicks a link to go to a different .swf, the new swf gets loaded but the window becomes un-maximized and gets shifted to the top left of the screen.

i want the window to stay maximized while a user is clicking around, any ideas on how to do this?

When I maximize my swf. file, there is a problem as the items that are outside the screen (800x600) are been shown.
How can I fix this?
And if it's possible to have the maximize button inactive as I have seen this in some swf. files.

Panel Won't Maximize
Hi, I'm having trouble seeing options on my panels, particularly the Align panel. I can't see the buttons under "Match Size:" and "Space:". The "Maximize panel" option is greyed out, and I can't just drag and resize the window. How do I fix this problem? I've tried playing around with the panel sets, and even re-installed the whole thing and I still have the same problem. I'm using MX, Windows XP, on a Japanese system.
