Error Creating Flash Movie. There Was Not Enough Memory
"Error creating Flash Movie. There was not enough memory avaiable"

Yup.... that's the message I get when I try to publish the project I'm working on currently in Flash 6 MX.

But it must be a configuration problem cuz I just upgraded my system last fall and have tons of memory.

Azus P4P800S Motherboard
Intel 3.0 Extreme processor
1 Gig RAM
160 Gig Western Digital Hard Drive (In 3 partitions)
GeForce 5700 256Meg Video card

I have my project saved on my G drive.
It is exclusively for this project only!
The drive size is 30 Gig and only 7 Gig is used 23 Gig available

This is not a project for the web.... I'm using Flash for a business presentation of pictures, Quicktimes videos + music. I plan to take my computer with me to show the published file.
The size of my .fla file is 256 megs
I increased the size of my virtual memory from 1000mgs to 2000mgs but it didn't help

I started this project in Flash 7 MX 2004 but very early on it wouldn't publish either
So I started over in Flash 6 MX and was able to publish all along untill yesterday after I had added more video.

I have 2 weeks left before I am supposed to show this presentation and I still have about 15 - 20% more content to add.

Can anyone please help me with this?

"Error Creating Flash Movie. There Was Not Enough Memory Available."
H,i I'm game developer (animation/designer) actually we are a team that develop games in flash. We are creating a game that is optimized with Movie Clips and Reduced size of frames per animation. So also we used same clips for every character that just the "tint" and "advanced" colors are changed.
We did everything to reduce the usage of processor and memory but nothing.
Also wile exporting in .swf on some computer works, on some doesn't work the exporting. Actually there is this:"Error creating Flash movie. There was not enough memory available.". So also the usage of Virtual Memory is used on those computers that do not detect any errors while exporting, but on those that there is error the RAM memory is used more and when is FULL there is the ERROR. We have 2 GB of RAM minimum but this is not the issue. I think that Flash is using the RAM memory on some computer and on others Virtual Memory.
Will have some new computers in near future but I don't think that this will be the solution. I tried everything and read everything on Adobe and old Macromedia but nothing. Every animation of the character is not more than 150 frames (half frame by frame animation and half timeline motion).

Thanks in advance if you have solution for the problem.

Memory Error When Creating Projector File
Any help appreciated.

Running MX with 512MB RAM on PC, but get this message when creating projector file (for CD-rom use) with embedded video files

"Error creating Flash Movie. There was not enough memory available"

512MB isn't enough??

Could start chopping scenes and loading and unloading sub-clips, but that gets messy.

[F8] Error Creating Flash Movie...
I have noticed that while working on my site, if I, lets say, delete a button or swap the instance of a button; my flash file won't publish. It runs for a bit and then I get a message that says: Error creating flash movie. There was not enough memory available.

What causes this and is there any way to undo or fix this so the flash movie publishes.

Error Creating Flash Movie
I have been helping a friend develop a site in flash. We've been able to edit in the FLA version and test movie to produce the SWF version with no problems. We launched the site and now have to update some things.

Again..go back and edit the FLA version no problem. All of a sudden we cant test it and create the SWF version. We keep getting this message "Error creating Flash movie. There was not enough memory available.". This has rendered us helpless as we can not produce the movie. Therefore the site can't be updated for the moment. This a huge issue.

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED ASAP!!!! THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

Error Creating Flash Movie File.
Since I started using CS3 I sometimes get the following error:

Error creating Flash movie file.
Be sure the destination file is not locked or on a locked drive. Also, check that the file name is not too long.

It doesn't happen all the time, and I haven't been able to figure out what causes it. I have been able to confirm that it's not anything to do with locked files/drives, permissions, or file name length.

It happens with files created elsewhere (by other developers) that I've modified, and it happens with files I start from scratch - I can create a new FLA on my desktop and it won't publish.

Sometimes (but not always), publishing to a different directory than the one the FLA is in will work.

This is becoming a big problem. Anybody seen this, or have any ideas?

I'm on OS X 10.4.9, 2.33 GHz Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro 17", running CS3 Web Premium package.

Error Creating Flash Movie File
Hey there,

I have a cartoon to send in to the network today. I'm having an issue I've had before: When I try to Test Scene, Test Movie, Publish or Export a quicktime, I get this alert: Error Creating Flash movie file. Be sure the destination file is not locked or on a locked drive. Also, check that the file name is not too long.
I've gotten this quite a few times before, and the suggested fixes don't work. Usually, I have to copy every frame and paste into a whole new project, which as you probably know, is a bitch.
Any ideas on what may be going on here? I exported a file last night before I shut down and all was well. I tried removing the audio file I added this morning to see if that was the issue, and it wasn't.
Anyone else experience this?

Thanks all!

Gordon

Error Creating Flash Movie File.
OK I have been racking my brain to get this resolved and unfortunately there isn't a lot of info on the web.
Scenario: We are in a shared environment. Central file server (Mac OS X server) over gigabit enet. We open flash files over the network and then we "try" to publish the files back to the same server in which the .fla is stored. (I have read John at Adobe's comments on the practice but this DID work).

So we access the flash file at /Volumes/ServerName/JobFolder/~Flash/ and we "attempt to" publish the .swf to
/Volumes/ServerName/JobFolder/htmlfolder/flash .... this was working previously in flash 6-7 but in 8-cs3 it has stopped working and we are kicking ourselves to get some answers.

When we try to publish we get the following error:
"Error creating Flash movie file.
Be sure the destination is not locked or on a locked drive. Also, check that the file name is not too long."

The publish path is: /Volumes/ServerName/JobFolder/~Flash/fileName.swf

What is going on and is there a solution like there USED** to be??

Help Low Memory Error In Flash 8 Pro
Hi everyone,

I'm a relatively new Flash user and new to these forums. I'm having a problem that is a total mystery to me. I've created a Flash movie using Flash 8 Pro that contains several 72 dpi bitmap images, as well as another Flash movie. Pretty small stuff.

However, when I opened it up again after creating it to test and fix a couple of things, I get the following low memory message dialog: "Could not open one or more scenes probably because of low memory. To increase available memory, close open documents."

I'm running a Mac G5 (PPC chip) with 2GB RAM running OSX 10.4.9. I've restarted several times and run Flash 8 all by itself, so I honestly don't think there is a RAM problem. I also have lots of scratch disk space available (if that matters).

Any clues on what I can try? I'm on deadline for a client and am really puzzled by this one!

Thanks in advance,
Kim

[Windows XP] [Flash MX 2004] [Error] Not Enough Memory?
When ever I open this one file I have been working on I keep getting this Error:

Quote:

There is not enough memory to open this scene. You document is not damaged and may be safely saved.

To increase available memory, close open documents or quit and use the Get Info command in the Finder to allocate more memory to Flash

I closed Flash, restarted my computer and I still get the same problem even when I open it with no ther applications running.

Creating Memory In Flash -- Recording Actions
Is there any way to "record" a users actions in Flash 5? I want to be able to allow users to perform a series of actions which will display a graphic on the screen based on what parameters they have chosen. They will be allowed to clear the screen and do this several times, so I want to have a scroll option where they can look back through the graphics that they have previously created. Any ideas?

Out Of Memory Error
I am trying to publish a very large flash file 11685 frames that contains several video and audio. Flash is giving me an error
stating: Unable to publish, out of memory.

I am running a windows 2000 Dual 2 ghz system with 1gb of memory

so the computer is not out of memory?

Any solution or patches...I am running Flash MX r25

Out Of Memory Error
This evening i opened up something i`ve been working on at home, modified it a bit, then done ctrl-enter to test it. It then failed to compile and comes up with the following:

`Error creating flash movie. There was not enough memory available`.

I then have to reload flash and the file. It`s doing this recurrently i`ve tried saving as a different name but always i get so far and it screws up on test. I managed to get so far with it then it gave me `syntax error` on the first line of the following code (which is on the main timeline):

Code:
pmod.1pBTN.onPress = function() {
play();
};
What the hell??

Memory Error?
Is it just me or is this error random? I can have the same file and publish it like 20 times and it will give me the error about 19 times and finally work on the 20th. I could do nothing but add 1 tween to a movie (which is already set to have the tween it just doesn't have it) and when I do it, it will all of a sudden give me this error when I go to publish it. EVEN though it just published prior to me adding the tween...I just don't understand I have tried everything from moving the file onto a USB device (which has worked before) to copying a backup file (that worked) and redoing all my work. I've been trying to get around this stupid error for the past 5 days redoing my work constantly time and time again to finally get it to work one time, but then if I try to change anything it will give me this error again...any solutions to this?

I've redone all my images etc. etc. I still cannot get this error to cut me some SLACK!

Memory Error
We are using a flash virtual tour player developed by a 3rd party. We are using a combination of swfobject 1-5 and custom javascript to insert the virtual tour scenes into the player. The scenes are around 600KB each. If you open a single tour, and click on the links (javascript based) to open the tour scenes approximately 25 to 30 times you get an error that flash has insufficiant memory. I have tried several ways to flush the memory using javascript and nothing has worked.

Through further testing, I found that this does NOT happen in Flash Player 9 for Mozilla (FireFox and Opera). Only in IE. Do you think there is an issue with flash player 9 or is it more likely that the SWF file was not design to clear the memory properly?

Since the player comes from a third party, we hare going to be hard pressed to have them correct it. Is there anything you can think of that can be changed in the code?

I would love to hear all your opinions! Here is a link to the example - http://www.simpletours.com/demo/tour.asp?key=453

Justin

Error: Not Enough Memory
When trying to check Syntax or trying to preview a movie, I keep getting an error saying I am out of memory. I have upped my virtual memory (paging file) but it does not seem to be helping the problem. Running Flash 8 on Windows Vista Home machine.

Error: Not Enough Memory?
Yet another snag...

From the google searches I've done, this seems to be a common problem, but without a common answer:

My flash movie has been running fine, until I recently went to test it. I got an error: Error, could not test movie, not enough memory.

My SWF is about 20 MB and running at 30 frames per second. I have over 2 gigs of ram and 30 gb harddrive space.

Is the error something that I can fix within flash or does it have to do with my hardware?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Memory Error?
It seems everytime I close my browser window (IE 6) after viewing my flash site I get this error

iexplore.exe - Application Error

The instruction at "0x01a13e8d" referenced memory at "0x01a13e8d". The memory could not be "read".

Click OK to terminate the program.

Has anyone ever had this problem? My Flash movie loads a lot of variables from PHP pages. Maybe this could be the cause?

Flash Error-Creating .swf File
Hey, i have never had a problem with flash until now. I have made .swf's of this file heaps of times before, but for some reason, it will not make any more .swf files.

When i try to create the .swf file, i get this error... Error Creating Flash Movie. There was not enough memory available.

Please help asap! Cheers!

Error Message: Memory
Hi:

I posted this in General Help, where it rightfully belongs, but it quickly dropped to page 2 with only 3 page views. Ummm, 2 of those were me

PLEASE READ:

I have a very small movie, 49k swf, 165k fla, but everytime I edit an MC, I keep getting the below error message, and then when I go back to the main timline, the main graphic, which is about 40k, disappears, and I have to double click it in the Library, and click "update," to get it back. Not a problem, except that it does it every time I try to edit an MC.

Here is the error message:

http://www.ekigroup.com/hostSite/host1e1.gif

What is worse, I have no idea what the "Finder" is--can't find the finder Where is it? Anybody know?

Any help will be appreciated, as I will be selling this this source file, but I can't in its present state.

Thanks,

Mysterious Low Memory Error?
Hi there.

When I open a certain .fla I get the message that due to low memory some scenes cannot be loaded. The file is only about 8 megs and I have 2 gigs of ram.

The result is that some bitmaps need to be reimported. the next time i open the file the same thing happens. I have saved the file with a new name but the problem persists.

It's a real issue and this job has a lot of work left to it.

can anyone advise? Thanks much for any info!!

Error 990 - Memory Could Not Be Read
When launching Flash Professional 8, the following application error is generated as the splash screen indicates fonts are initializing:

990: Flash.exe - Application error
The instruction at "0x6172676f" referenced memory at "0x6172676f". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program.
Click on Cancel to debug the program.
[OK] [Cancel]

With each uninstall and reinstallation of Flash the error number changes as well as the memory address location.

Has anyone experienced this error and have a solution? Reinstalling & rebooting did not solve it.

Error Message: Not Enough Memory
Please help. I posted about this yesterday and no one responded.

Whenever I try to publish or test my flash movie, the progress bar goes across only half way, sits there for awhile, then tells me that there has been an error and that there was not enough memory. I can't even preview a single scene!

My flash doc. isn't really big at all-- I've gotten it down to 6mb... I've made previous versions of this same file into a movie/ .swf before without issue.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

CREATING PDF From FLASH - Error On Bitmap Colours
Hi 2 all.
I am trying to create PDF from a Flash slide presentation. All is allright but the bitmap images are converted in grayscale even if they are in RGB in the Flash stage.
The vector elements and text objects are rendered in colors. The error is only on bitmap images.
How could it be possible?
I am using Flash CS3 and I have Acrobat 7 Pro.

Thanks for any support about this.

Swish Launch Causes Memory Error
Two days ago it (ver. 2) was registered and working fine. Now when I try to launch Swish I receive the following error:

The instruction at "0x00428404" referenced memory at "0x00000044". The memory could not be "read"
Click on Ok to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program

I have tried to reinstall and am having no luck. Also checked to see if crypkey is running and it is listed as started. Please help.

Solution To Memory Error Problem
Thanks to all the posts relevant to this problem - I stumbled across the solution last night.

It seems Flash cannot handle lots of emdedded video files (even small ones) when they are placed flush on the timeline. The error message appears, and your movie remains unpublished.

So I ended up placing every embedded video in it's own movie clip, and hey-presto, it published.

Not Enough Memory To Open Scene Error
Hi,

I've got a large flash file which no longer seems to open. The file is 10 MB.

When I try to open the file I get a 'Not enough memory to open scene' error. It suggest using Get Info to modify the memory allocation which I assume is for Mac although I'm using XP.

I've tried searching for an answer to this but have had no luck so far.

Thanks,

Chris

Memory Card Game _ Need Some Help With Creating It
Hello Guys & Gals,

I had a tutorial I was using quite a while back to create a 'memoy card' game- You know- clcik a card it turns over-- you try to match that image with the same image on another card which then eliminates the pair- etc... until you have them all matched!

I know...simple game! Well... I am new to designing any game in Flash--so I am making a simple memory game for a kids site.

Is Anyone out there able to assess what is wrong with my code to this point?

It seems to add too many cards--and it doesn't match up an equal amount of paired graphics- it always seems like when you get to near the end- there is like 4 cards left- each with a different image on it that doesnt match any others!

If anyone can help- or direct me to some help that would be AWESOME!!

Thanks...I will include the code with this post...

Thanks in advance!

MovieClip Causing Memory Error And Crashes App
I'm working on a portfolio flash file which has been giving me some real grief. I built the basic navigation and added content and created intital swf's to test the movie w/ no difficulties.

Now something in the flash file is causing a memory error and almost always crashes the program. I've allocated 200mb+ of RAM to flash and still I crash. I'm able to open up other flash files with no trouble.

I've even built the file over from scratch and the problem continues. I'm almost afraid to try to build it again.

I think the problem is a particular movieclip which consists of 14 frames each with a jpeg or gif screenshot of some work I've done. I've managed to save off a copy of the fla without this movieclip and everything appears to be working fine. When I try to reintroduce the movieclip to the fla the memory error ocurrs.

It can be viewed at:
http://www.movablemedia.com/mmiller/

there's no preloader built as of yet. The file size is about 670K if you're interested in taking a look.

Click the "multimedia" text. Each button along the bottom references a frame in a movieclip which I've named "multimedia_mc" This is the culprit!

Not sure what to do, any suggestion would be much appreciated. Is there some limit to how many bitmaps can be included in a fla or some file size limitation? The other sections are built the same way - a movieclip w/ jpegs & gifs and they work just fine.

Any ideas?

IE Reports Memory Error On Exit From Script...
Hi...
Can anyone confirm a non-fatal crash when closing the window on this script?
http://www.lillyanneme.com/DEV_2/menuSystem2.swf
I've got windows running in a window on my mac, so I don't know if this is a legitimate error or not. What I get, on closing IE (only from this flash file) is:

'The instruction at "0x1001cd11" referenced memory at "0x1001cd11". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program'

Please let me know if you replicate this! There's a lot of stuff going on in this script (500+ lines and barely getting started, this menu system is dynamically generated out of a PHP back-end)...need to know if windows wonks are gonna have problems with it...

This is under IE 6 in Windows XP Pro SP 1 running virtualized on a macbook.
Thank you!

Memory Leaks In Flash? Cus My Program Is Using Over 235,000kbs Of Memory
ANY HELP APPRECIATED as i've spent 2 days on this (started 2 days 3 hours ago)... please help me

I have only 16 images in my program, its a slideshow, all my images have a small image selection which on(rollOver) shows that image in a bigger screen, however when my program launches, I do ctrl + alt + del, and my memory usage for that swf file I made is at 235,000kb of memory, and my laptop can't handle it, (its 70mb) and the original .fla file is (70mb)

Is there anyway to fix this, I belive my scripts are leaking, I know for a fact, im not cleaning my locals... or globals...

if I declare a variable should I set it to null?

Question 1: Should I remove local variables? if so how do I do it?
Question 2: Should I remove global variables? if so how do I do it?
Question 3: Any other things I need to know?

this is my code for start up, which hides all images not in the first 4 places (which is suppost to be visible) the others are turned invisible...

Code:
_global.b = Array();
_global.end = 16;
_global.b[0] = btn_1;
_global.b[1] = btn_2;
_global.b[2] = btn_3;
_global.b[3] = btn_4;
_global.b[4] = btn_5;
_global.b[5] = btn_6;
_global.b[6] = btn_7;
_global.b[7] = btn_8;
_global.b[8] = btn_9;
_global.b[9] = btn_10;
_global.b[10] = btn_11;
_global.b[11] = btn_12;
_global.b[12] = btn_13;
_global.b[13] = btn_14;
_global.b[14] = btn_15;
_global.b[15] = btn_16;
_global.X = 40;
_global.Y = 30;
var t:Number = Array();
for (var i:Number = 0; i<4; i++)
{
t[i] = (i*100)+80;
}
for (var i:Number = 0; i<_global.end; i++)
{
var b = _global.b[i]._x;
_global.b[i]._x = (i*100)+t[0];
if (b != t[0] and b != t[1] and b != t[2] and b != t[3])
{
_global.b[i]._visible = false;
}
else
{
_global.b[i]._visible = true;
}
}
code for scrolling through my list of images (as it only shows 4 on the screen at one time)

basically, each image is 90 * 68 (width/height) the X position of the first image is 80, and it increments by 100 each time, until the 5th image, in which its 30, the start up code above, spaces them out by 100 (as I normally dont have enough room to fit 16+ images spaced out by 100) it also does other things

Basically, t gets the X position of last image... then

And basically hides and unhides images pending if they're X position is 80, 180, 280, 380...

Code:
on(release)
{
var t:Number = 0;
for (var i:Number = 0; i<_global.end; i++)
{
t = (i*100)+80;
}
for (var i:Number = 0; i<_global.end; i++)
{
if (_global.b[i]._x > 79)
{
if (_global.b[i]._x == 80)
{
_global.b[i]._visible = false;
_global.b[i]._x = t+100;
}
if (_global.b[i]._x > 579)
{
_global.b[i]._visible = false;
}
if (_global.b[i]._x == 480)
{
_global.b[i]._visible = true;
}
_global.b[i]._x -= 100;

}
}
}
The next code is for "enhancing" my images a little bit, it increases its Width & Height by 30 and 40... and decreases by that on rollOut / dragOut

(as you can dragOut and rollOut doesn't happen therefore I need it so you can't "increase" the image height & width without decreasing when your mouse moves off it)

Code:
on(rollOver)
{
gotoAndStop(2);
var b = btn_1
b._width = b._width + _global.X;
b._height = b._height + _global.Y;
b._x = b._x - X/2;
b._y = b._y - Y/2;

}
on(dragOut)
{
var b = btn_1;
b._width = b._width - _global.X;
b._height = b._height - _global.Y;
b._x = b._x + X/2;
b._y = b._y + Y/2;
}
on(rollOut)
{
var b = btn_1;
b._width = b._width - _global.X;
b._height = b._height - _global.Y;
b._x = b._x + X/2;
b._y = b._y + Y/2;
}
Thats it, they're basically 1 of each different thing I have... it basically stays the same, I have 32 images (large_1-16, and small_1-16)

They're exactly the same size, but I wasn't sure if I could use 1 image twice, for different things (they're size is 2500 * 1900 give or take a 100 or so)

Memory Style Game - Creating Tile Blocker
I have sample code written like this:
(from "Flash MX 2004:Game Programming" by Murray and Everett-CHurch)

Referencing a memory style game using only 16 tiles. The author notes that they can use the 100 because they are only using 16 tiles.

attachMovie("tile blocker", "blocker"+i+j, tile_depth+100);
blocker_array[i][j] = this ["blocker" +i+j];

He states to organize the tiles into 'Empty Movie Clips" so their depths will be local?

I am not clear on how this would look. I am hoping to create a multilple level memory-style game with at least 20 (or up to 32) tiles per level.

How do I remedy the 100 statement?

Please suggest a reference (and I'll research more) or post a helpful hint

I am looking to learn this better, so I am willing to do a little more leg work -just not certain where to begin to narrow my search and avoid more information than I am ready for.

Thank you

My Flash-movie Allocates Too Much Memory And Slows Down
Hello!

I've created a flash-movie, but for each click I make it tends to allocate about 300kb of memory. About ~10 clicks later everything goes REALLY slow. And the background goes nuts.

Here's the movie I've created so far, any ideas?

Double Trouble: Read Memory Error With 2 Movies In A Page
I'm trying to run 2+ flash movies in the same html page. You can see the essential files here: http://www.vgfx4.com/test/embedVideo.htm

If you view source you'll see what's going on. It shoud pull in: http://www.vgfx4.com/test/loader.swf & http://www.vgfx4.com/test/loader2.swf which, in turn, test real-world modem speed by loading a random small image: http://www.vgfx4.com/test/testModem.jpg & http://www.vgfx4.com/test/testModem2.jpg

Depending on the modem speed the swfs then pull in a video from a folder identified in the path variable sent to the swf file in the src attribute/param:

<object classid="clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/s...ersion=7,0,0,0" width="100%" height="100%">
<param name="movie" value="loader.swf?path=themes">
<param name="autoplay" value="true"/>
<param name="salign" value="LT">
<param name="quality" value="high">
<param name="scale" value="noscale">
<embed src="loader.swf?path=themes" width="100%" height="100%" autoplay="true" salign="LT" quality="high" scale="noscale" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer">
</embed>
</object>

An example video that eventually gets played might be: http://www.vgfx4.com/test/themes/videoBB.swf and it works fine when one video is loaded in, eg:

http://www.vgfx4.com/test/embedVideo_oneOnly.htm

But Internet Explorer crashes (IE 6, WIN XP or 2000) with a memory read error, as you may have got from the first link, when trying to load 2 movies I suspect this is due to the two movies trying to read the same bit of data: ie, one locks it and the other crashes. But I've changes all the files so they actually reference different files (hence testModem ¦ testModem2 etc).

Can't work out what the problem is: which is irritating, given this follows lots of careful planning of how to set this up as these files are just tests which need to be coded into a content management system which must be able to output webpages with more than one video! Otherwise I'm out of a job...

Can you help!? Thanks in advance,

James.

Parameters For Bandwidth And Memory Occupide By A Flash Movie
Hi!
When a nice flash movie or even a flash site is finished, which parameters are important to publish a movie or a site which can be seen easier by others over internet? There are still people out there who don't have the best computers and fastest internet connections.
I'm not talking about the file size which is extremely important, but other considerations and parameters.
Do you have any ideas about this?
Thanks for help

How To Avoid The "Abort Script" Error & Memory Usage Issues
hi,

i am workin on a game that loads levels. when a level is loaded, the items to be shown in the level are placed on stage by using (while/for) loops (i use alot of arrays in the process). Now the thing is that in some cases, my level has loads n loads of stuff in it and when my application gets on to placing them, i get the error "script in this movie is causing Flash Player to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script?". I know this is because my loops have run thousands of times. When i press "No", the script continues to run and within a few seconds my level loads completely with no problem. My question is: is there a way to skip this error? as it will be confusing for my user

I also have a second question, my application file size is 99KB and including the sprites, the maximum the whole thing would go is 2MB. But when I run it and load one of my heavy loaded levels, the memory usage go's upto 110 MB. The memory usage starts from 80MB and seems to grow continuously until it reaches 110 and then goes down and up. Note that this is running in the internet explorer. The memory seems to be possibly some garbage data, (because when i ran some other web app that consumed the memory, the memory usage of my application went down from 110 to 80) but i dont know much in this area. Can someone guide me how i can get rid of any extra memory usage. In cases of average sized levels, the usage go's upto 70 MB. So my second question is: any idea ??

ERROR "There Is Not Enough Memory To Open This Scene."
I have a file that is proving impossible to reopen.

Whenever I open it i receive an error message that says "There is not enough memory to open this scene. Your document is not damaged and may be safely saved. To increase available memory, close open documents or quit and use Get Info command in the Finder to allocate more memory to Flash."

I have looked all over the internet for help and although this seems to be a pretty popular problem, no one ever has a solution. Some people claim it is because of a corrupt file they tried to import. I don't have any files in the library of this document and it is all completely vector.

I desperately need this file. Do have any ideas regarding what I can do? Thanks a lot.

Creating An Error Message
Let's say I have a movie clip loader called myMCL, a listener for it called myListener, and a SWF called movie.swf that will be loaded externally. I want a dynamic text box (called errorDisplay) to display an error message that says "Error: Could not access <filename>." if the movie clip loader cannot find the file. How do I refer to the file it's trying to find? Here's what I have so far:

Code:
myListener.onLoadError = function (target_mc) {
errorDisplay.text = "Error: Could not access " + <what goes here?> + ".";
}
