Plase someone...it drives me crazy! When I import movie file into flash it works yust fine but I loose the sound. What shall I do?

Video Imoprt Audio Problems?
First time I ma messing around witht he video capabilities of flash and I am having some issues. I am getting a warning saying something like "Audio can not be imported" or something. I did some researcha nd discovered this note.
Note: If the audio codec used in the audio track is not supported on your system, Flash displays a warning in the Import Video Settings dialog box.
All I am doing is importing a quicktime movie. Should I export the audio differently somehow. If so HOW???

Sound File In Flash
Hi! I have created a small flash slideshow. On the last frame, my movie stops and I have an option for the viewer to "click to replay". Is there any way I can have a sound loop playing in the final slide(s), including my very last slide with the option to replay? Right now - I have a "STOP" command on the final slide and ofcourse, it stops the sound as well. I don't want sound in the entire movie - just at the end - like a "that's all folks" kind of thing (smile!) any ideas... thanks so much!
Sound File Help In Flash
Hello everybody,
This is my first post in kirupaForum, I am looking for some help in Flash. I created a file that contains few sound files(wav) in it but when I loaded this file to my main file, all my sound object are not working? Does anybody can give me some help? I don't really want to put all the sound files to my main(root) file because, it contains a lot of sound files already and it is getting heavier.
I hope I can get some suggestion from this gourp.

Updating Sound File In Flash
I have an imported sound file in flash that needs to be updated. The path of the file flash shows is:
........flasoundsSound1.mp3
I didn't create this fla file so not sure how to re-create the path so that the sounds will update.
Anyway to update the sound or see the entire path?
The sound is in over two dozen places from what I know of, so importing the new one and replacing the sound one by one is a bit tedios.

Getting Original Sound File Out Of Flash
Can anyone tell me how to export back out of Flash a sound file that I imported into it? I accidentally deleted the original AIFF file, and I can see it in the library of the FLA, just don't know how to get it back out again.

Multiple Sound Clips In The Same Flash File
I'm trying to set up a single flash movie with 16 sets of play/pause/stop buttons that play 16 different soundclips.
I know how to set up a single set of buttons in a flash movie that plays a single soundclip. I've got that working. I have two layers: Button1 and Audio1.
I now have my file set up with all of the buttons and I have the 16 soundclips loaded into my library. Each button is already set up with an action that says "on release play, stop, gotoandstop" and that part works.
The problem I'm having is that I still just have my original two layers: Button1 and Audio1. When I click on button1 all 16 sets of my buttons are selected. How do I set it up so that each set of buttons plays a different sound clip? I'm assuming I need 32 layers (Button1, Button2, Button3, etc. Audio1, Audio2, Audio3, etc.) and that I need to assign those layers to the different buttons but I don't know how to accomplish this. Can someone help?

Stop Specific Sound File In Flash

I am using these sound file Know i wanted to stop a "sound2.wav" and wanted to start sound3.wav after stopping sound2.wav.
Any body now how to s specific sound file in flash with file name.

Sound Problem In Flash Projector File
I have a voiceover track in my movie, which is to be exported as a projector. Thing is, this audio track seems to downgrade when played back in Flash aswell as in the prjector/exe file. I cleaned up the voiceover in Soundforge and the playback quality is fine in that as well as other media players (Windows Media Player for example).
I don't think I have any settings on to compress the 11Khz mono 16bit .wav track further and the generated projector shouldn't compress any of the files anyway should it?
Any ideas on how to fix this? Maybe I've overlooked something.

Is there a way to load an external sound file into Flash, in order to save memory? Not adding it to the library? If so... What are the downfalls of that, and are these downfalls fixable, that you know of?
Best Type Of Sound File Format To Use With Flash?
I am trying to figure out the best way to use music incorporated with a small flash music manager I made.
If you visit : http://www.storyoftheyear.net (awesome band, btw!) you will see their music player that loads in the bottom right corner and plays entire clips of their music.
I got the idea from there and incorporated it to my site at http://www.usdphidelts.com and made a my music player with a XML backend to point to small .mp3 clips. The files aren't very big, but they take FOREVER to load.
Any ideas how I can get INSTANT music like on the SOTY site?

Smaller Size File Type For Sound In Flash?
what is the smallest file type to save the sound in, so the movie loads faster, obviously not wav, for a 30 second intro, and ive been using mp3 format, but that also is just way too slow, for it to load anywhere near 1:30 with dialup, i had to drop the mp3 sound format down to speakerphone format hehe.so any suggestions on the format to help it load faster, thank you so much.and also any suggestions on what program to use to convert it, would also be very much appreciated.thanks so much laters =)
Extract Audio From .fls (Flash Sound Bundle File)

I would like to ask if it's possible to unbundle a Flash Sound Bundle file? I've downloaded FlashLiteBundler.exe to check if it can also unbundle, but it could not. A client wants to reuse their audio files from a previous project, but alas, they could only give us files of .fls format.
Any ideas on how I can go about this?

Background Sound Through Multiple Scenes In The Same Flash File.

I've created a flash presentation and I would like to keep a background sound going throughout the movie. This movie has multiple scenes. I have it working fine with just one scene. I have the "on" and "off" buttons working okay for the sound in this one scene. So what do I do when I go to add scenes? I'm using Flash MX 2004 Pro.

Flash Sound / File System / Book Recommendations?
I'm fairly new to flash and actionscripting but i'm very vested in programming. (VB.NET, ASP.NET, PHP, VB6, SQL, C++, C, Javascript, HTML, etc)
I'm need to create a sound player that loads files from a file system folder and then plays each file upon the user clicking "Play" or "Next Track" etc etc. The file needs to stream and preload so that its playing while downloading.
When the user loads the swf file I want it to look in a certain folder and load "x" amount of files. The number can vary, but they'd all be .mp3 format. This allow for easy management through an FTP client.
I'm looking for a good book on this so I can have some good reference.
And ideas?

Making A Sound File Smaller Or Editing Sounds Outside Of Flash
I have a sound loop that I would like to use for a site and I would just like to use one small part of the loop. Currently the track is 57 seconds and I just want to use a small part or the loop like ten seconds worth for the FLA file. I know I can edit sound in Flash but it seems like it still loads the whole file and it would be tooo large. How do I edit sounds before I import them into Flash. What program would you recommend using.

I have a script that loads an mp3 file. Then, there is some visualization with to the music. When first loading the flash file, there is one copy of the sound. When the flash file is loaded again, there are multiple copies of the sound file being played. When I used the stop button it only stops one of the copies.

Stop Sound File Early (using Sound Object)
I know I can use the play() method of the Sound object to offset the beginning of a sound. Ex:
mySound.play(2000) - plays the sound beginning at 2 seconds
Is there a way to get a sound to stop early? For example, if it is a 20-second sound, can I get it to stop at 18 seconds? Thanks!
Problem W/ Sound Object File Loading Into A Holder File
Hi all,
I have a 4 mb file that I am loading into a main holder file. I am using loadmovienum to do this. In the 4mb file that i am loading in, i am using a sound object to control and play my audio.
Problem: when i publish the holder file, the 4 mb file loads just fine, but the audio doesn't play.
What Gives?
Sound File In A MC?
Ok i d-loaded a song that's about 225 seconds long, the only way i see that is possible at the moment is to put it on the main timeline. Is it possible for me to put it in a mc so i keeps the timeline nice and clean. (Cause i wanna make an animation that's only in MC's) Thx again for your insights!
Ok, forget what i just said, because i figured it out. I have another problem though. I need to take only 140 seconds of the total 226 of the song. How do i do this? I really can't have unecessary music as it takes up alot of

Ok, another edit here, whenever i alter the timing of one thing coming in with the music, it alters the timing of the other thing, it is just making it impossible to sync the animations with the music, does anyone know what's goin on?

Hello! I have have a flash animation that loops and I just inserted a sound file. I want to be able to loop the animation but not the sound file. Is there an action script I can use or do I have to build 2 separate files? Thanks!

I have a sound file that is ~800k and i would like to play it from a button but am worried cause the mp3 is so large. I tried importing it into the library but i received and error stating there was a problem reading it, although it plays no problem in the windows media player. I was searching up on this and came across this script to put in the button:

No Sound From FLV File?
I have used this method before for putting streaming video on line- it is great, but for some reason this one movie will not play any sound even though I tried many times and checked many times that I did all the steps correctly. Is it the Quicktime movie that I started with corrupt or something else in the flv file that is not working?

Help With Imported Sound File
I have a huge MP3 file that I've imported onto a layer. It is visible only in the first frame of the layer even though it plays for a couple minutes (it's a voice narration).
I want to sync up animations on other layers with specific points in the file, but without the sound file being visible across frames of the layer its on, I have no way to see where those specific points are. Can anyone please (pretty please) help me figure out how to make the entire file visible across frames?
