I'm trying to make my swf call a counter program that tracks the # of hits. I want it to be invisisble (without new windows opening). I want to know what is the earliest version of flash player that allows me to do the following script while keeping it invisible?

For those that managed to miss it, Adobe released new minor versions of the players last Monday.
I strongly urge everybody who have a lower version than 9.0.47 to upgrade as soon as possible, since earlier versions contains a known vulnerability.

Flash Players - Almost Done With Our CD Need One More Thing

I need 2 Flash 6 Player Plugins One for Internetexplorer, and the other for Netscape. but I go to macromedias website, and they have them both but I need the actual instalation file. All they have on the website is to actually Install online with ActiveX. I want to put the installation files on the CD. Let me know If you know where to get them or if you have them.

Flash 5 Gamaes Not Seen By New Players?
Help!
I am desperate to find out if its true what I am hearing
That the flash players that are coming out (or are out already) do not have the facility to play flash 5 games.

is that true?
Ie: i am just finishing up a suite of flash 5 games and at the debugging stage and i hear the new flash players will not read them unless you have had flash 5 already installed, because they will not be backward compatible!

Flash Players And HTML
Hi,

I am having some probelms, hope some1 can help.

I have currently made a Intro, it isnt finished yet, no point finishing it till i work out these probelms.

The movie i made, will be 6 and half mins long, and i need it intimed with the music.

When i goto Test Movie in Flash MX 2004 the movie is completely timed perfect.

But when i test in Publish > HTML its not in time...

its like the text speeds down, but the music stays the same.

Also my Preloader, doesnt seem to function right... it all stays white and and then it loads and the preloader just zooms to completed, i read the other post on this matter, but the preloader is in scene 1 and the movie is in scene 2 and at the end of the 4 Frames of the perloader i have:

sStatus='COMPLETE'
stop();
gotoAndPlay("2,1");

I really hope some1 can help.

Flash Music Players
Okay, I got two questions concerning Flash Music Players.

1) Is it possible to implement an equalizer, like Winamp's, into a Flash Media Player, if so where can I find a tutorials on how to put this in a Flash Music Player.

2) In Music Players there are a set of vertical bars that rise based on the beat or volume or lower while music is playing, out of all the Flash Music players I looked at all of them were just animations that looped for looks. How can I put this into a Flash Music Player realisticly?

Flash Players And MS Vista/IE7?
Does anyone know for certain whether any version of the Flash player is contained within MS Vista/IE7? I have read conflicting opinions but I cannot find any specific reference to Vista/IE7 actually containing the Flash player.

Can anyone clarify the situation?

MS WinXP has the Flash 6 player bundled by default, so I was hoping that MS would do the same with Vista/IE7, just a newer version.

I need some help mates with MySpace players (www.MySpace.com).Either i use IExplorer or Firefox the flash players on all the artists' pages seem not to be working. Although they seem to be connecting and buffering normally i can't hear any sound.I ve sent plenty of emails on their support and the only thing i was told to was to download the latest Flash player version, which i had already did but didn t help anyway.


Could anybody here understand what might be wrong with it?

When its in player 6, the movie plays smoothly, without the blur filter. But when its set to Player 8, the movie shakes a bit. How can get the movie playing smoothly in Player 8?

Problem With Flash Players.
Hi,
I'm facing some kind of weird problem with flash players.
My file is not getting loaded in IE and shows me "Movie not loaded" error and it keeps on loading the content saying "1 item remaining" in the status bar.

However the same file is working fine with Firefox.
I'm not able to sort out the problem in any way.

I'm attaching the file so that you can get the problem.

Any help is greatly appreciated and this is very urgent.

SetInterval And Older Flash Players
I think I have a problem with my Flash app, and am not sure what to do. My app uses the following code, and includes setInterval. The app displays fine on my computer, but I have Flash Player 7. A friend tried to load the web page containing this code, but it never loads the Flash app...he disconnected before I could ask him what version of the Flash Player he was using, but something tells me that it is an older version. Can someone tell me if this is the reason for the file not loading, and if so, is there a way to make this code work on Players dating back to Flash Player 2?

Pause-Timer And Different Flash Players?
Hey everyone.. Im having some trouble with the PauseTimer I use. It works fine for my computer and several others however on a number of other computers it doesnt work and the movie plays straight through.
I was wondering if there was a sure-fire PauseTimer that pause by the second (or fraction thereof) that worked regardless of the users flash player version..?

I plan on using the PauseTimer throughout a new site Im building and Id hate for it to be useless on some computers.

The site I currently have up is the simple opening page here: http://www.goodietwosleeves.com when you click on the plug in the outlet. It's supposed to shutdown the computer and wait a couple of seconds before turning back on, but some computers show it turn off and then on again immediately..

Global Stats On Flash Players
Anyone know? I'm about to begin development on a global flash demo for the company I work at, basically will call in demo text via xml (assuming we can get that bit worked out on our server, blocking it in testing and production environments but not development environments, for some reason).

I'd like to know if anyone has any stats on players based by country/region, and also the major differences between Flash Player 6/7/8/9?

What I'm getting at is I don't want to aim too low on all the new toys and bells and whistles if most users are in 8 or 9. In the US, our standard is to code to 7 just because that's what IT has put on all of my coworkers computers, but if it's otherwise across the world, I'd be curious to know.

If you have something like Pandora or Purevolume playing music in a tab... then you open your project in a new tab and it is supposed to use the sound spectrum on a piece of loaded music, it wont display.

Working With Multiple Flash Players
I am working on a music website that has thousands of music tracks. In order to allow viewers to listen to each track I have a mini flash player (play/pause) button. It works great. The only challenge is that it is possible to click play on more than one button at a time.

Is there a way to instruct the play buttons to stop playing if another one starts?
