Flash 9 Will Not Install On My Mac
Hello-
Can someone help me? I have been trying to install Flash 9 on my mac (non-intel) and I keep getting this error message:
1008:5,-5000
It then tells me that I don't have enough "acess priveledges" whatever that means. Anyone else have this problem? I have read that the only fix is to re-install Tiger???? What, for Flash 9??? There has to be another way!!

Hello,
I'm trying to compile a complete list of the versions of the Flash
plugin/component that come preinstalled with browsers of either Windows or Mac. I have done some research and have a small list, but I have not been able to find very much. Some examples of what I am looking for and of some of the info I have found is below. If anyone knows any information regarding the versions of Flash installed with browsers, any help would be most appreciated. When I am done, I will gladly share the list with everyone.

Install Flash CS3 On Win XP 64
Help! I can't get CS3 to install on my machine. I get the following error during silent install:
Checking bootstrapper progress
[ 1160] Tue Jul 24 13:11:16 2007 FATAL
Exception: JavaScript Support file could not be loaded: ReferenceError: systemCheck_wp is undefined
Exit code: 7
I have tried copying the installation files to my hard drive. I have made sure that the directory names don't have spaces in them. I have tried manually executing regsvr32 jscript.dll. I have tried booting with nothing but windows installer running in msconfig. I have tried using the adobe clean utility. I have tried updating to the latest version of java. When I run the regular installer it just disappears after loading the first progress bar.
Any other ideas?

Flash Won't Install - HELP
Hi All,
I'm running Windows Vista and had some trouble the other day with Adobe Flash - so I disabled it in the add-on tab. Then I rebooted and reinstalled it. Supposedly, it reinstalled successfully and was now listed as enabled in the add-on tab. Except it really isn't installed. For some reason, no flash works in IE. I'm not having the same trouble in Firefox. I ran the Registry corrector from Microsoft but no luck there either.
Any help you could give would be greatlly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Flash Keeps Asking To Install
I have "succesfully installed" Flash Player on my PC in IE6, I have XP Pro sp2, but every time I visit a site that requires Flash to view it properly, it says that I need to install it. So I go to the Flash site and install it again, and the saga continues.
According to every site I visit Flash is not installed yet I have lost count of how many times I have installed it, does anyone know why this is happening?

Cannot Install Flash 9
Forgive me if this has been covered but I did attempt to search for this particular problem. I have Internet Explorer here at work and am allowed to install FlashPlayer. The only problem is that for some reason it won't install correctly. I click that I agree to the terms and then it takes me to another page and it is trying to install ultrashim.cab. I clicked install and then nothing at all happens. I don't even get to a point to where it asks me to install FlashPlayer. I think I've got version 6.something on this computer currently. This is an XP Pro computer. Any help would be very much appreciated.

It doesnt matter which browser I use, once I download the installer it starts then tells me I dont have enough memory. I have more than 17 gigabytes free. the only difference I can see between me and the gal the next cube over, is that my local drive is F not C. anyone else having these problems?

Flash CS3 Won't Install
Okay... I seriously am in need of help here. I have downloaded the trial version of Adobe Flash CS3, and for some reason when I run the installer it didn't install it right. At first when I installed this, the program seemed to be in place, but when I tried to start it, I got an error message saying that I need to repair it by uninstalling/reinstalling the program... The whole message escapes me at the moment...
Anyways I tried to uninstall it and apperantly it still shows on the Add/Remove Programs list. It won't allow me to uninstall it. The installer doesn't work anymore. I try to use the setup.exe program and it shows a new little window with a progress bar at the top right corner of my screen.

After this window finished loading it closes but the installer never opens... I've tried many things posted on this forum, including:
-Removing Flash 8 Player
-Making a New Account
-Checking for duplicate color profiles
and nothing worked! Please help me... I have no other CS3 programs, running on Windows XP, and I have admin account.

Flash Will Not Install
I run Windows XP ansd cannot intall Flash. It appears that an Active X Control is blocking the installation page frokm displayonmg some content. Could this be causing the issue?
Also, I see from the 'Troubleshooting System Registry issues that prevent Flash Player installation" article that my registry security setting do not show a Power User. Is this causing the problm and how do I add a Power User?
And would using Firefox to downloa Flash Player bypass ther problem?

Install Flash Again & Again & Again...
I am a long-time user of Adobe Flash, Reader, etc., but for the last several months, every time I've gone to a web site that uses Flash, I am instructed to "Download Flash"; I do so, I view the Flash item and then the next web site that needs Flash tells me that I need to install it again!! This has happened MANY, MANY times!
Why is Flash not "staying" on my computer?
BTW, also, when I look at some Adobe docs (e.g., eMail attachments), it doesn't "find" Reader, and I have to open Reader, then find the attachment.
I like Adobe, why doesn't my computer like it?! [I am running WinXP, SP2]

Please Help With Flash Install
Ok I have Windows Vista & I am running Internet Explorer.
My problem is that I cannot get flash to install. I go through the install screen. My cpu asks if I want to continue & I say yes. Then a window pops up saying all IE needs to be restarted save your work. I say OK. Then everything gets restarted the flash movie is playing saying install good. But when I check other sites it is no good. Of course I have done all these things about 10 times & nothing
I have done everything I can think of restarting the cpu, deleting temp & cookie files, Disk Clean Up, Virus Protection On & Off, IE security levels all the way down.
Nothing works. When I go and look at my add & remove programs It’s not even there All I have is Adobe Photoshop, Reader & Shockwave.
Please help someone because it seems like all my favorite sites need flash to run!

I'm trying to install the latest flash player prompted by Internet Explorer. It fails.

I Can't Install Flash
dear everybody..
i've been trying to install flash.. but it asked to stop all browsers (including IE). OK, i stopped all the browsers and all application that connects to the internet such as live messenger, yahoo.. and all others.
but still when i click install, it says that IE has to be stopped. well i don't see any IE running. then i checked my task manager, the processes, and there were 2 IE execution, but i don't know what they were. i tried to stop the execution immediately, but it won't stop, it just keeps popping up right after I stop it.. I tried to restart my computer and install flash immediately before any application is executed, but i still face the same problem..
So what should i do? is there anyway that i can get my flash running? somebody please help me?

HELP IE Won't Install Flash
I started working for a new company on Monday. I simply took over the previous Flash dev's computer.
I noticed that flash player (activex) wasn't working for half of the places I visited (FireFox always works fin).
So I went to Adobe and updated my player. Then all hell broke loose.
Flash doesn't work at all anymore in IE and it simply won't install.
When I go to http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer and run the installer, it tries to do its thing, then instead of the Flash animation playing to show it has been successful, all I see is a single "

after making sure I've got admin privileges for my computer:
Flash uninstall, reboot install online
Flash uninstall, reboot install offline (.exe)

running .exe installers from above link
downloading the swFlash.cab file and running the .inf manually

rolling back to IE6 (currently still there)

deleting registry keys (when able - my registry differs a bit from my coworkers' when it comes to the shockwave parts...this may be part of the problem)

Flash CS3 Won't Install

I'm running windows xp pro and I installed flash and it worked fine, the same with dreamweaver, photoshop, and fireworks. But my computer caught a bad Trojan so I re-installed windows. I tried installing them again and photoshop and fireworks worked fine as well as flash and dreamweaver.
But suddenly when I opened flash it said there was something wrong with my registration, reinstall, so I reinstalled but that didn't work, so I un-installed. The same with dreamweaver.
But now when I run the installer for both, it says, extracting to "Adobe Setup" but then closes and the main installer won't open!
When I look in Add/Remove Programs the 2 products are there but the files aren't in Program Files!
How can I install them!!!!!!

I have a CDROM that I when a user insets it into their drive, it tests to see if the latest flash player is installed, if so then it runs the flash file, if not it will redirect to the install software allready on the CD for the user to install the software!

I need to distribute a cd to clients that may or may not have an internet connection. I would like for it to be an html page with flash content, however I don't want the thing to crash if they have no plugin and no internet connection to download it with. Can I point the flash code to the cd and install automaticly from there, and if so how?

Is there still an archive somewhere for the Flash 6 plug-in installer for IE, Windows XP? My copy of IE 6 seems to have suddenly lost its Flash plug-in (I don't know how). Help Please : Flash Mx 2004 Won't Install
Flash MX 2004 has some big bug in it or it's just not compatible with my computer.
I spent at a gaming-hall [internet-cafe] 3 hrs downloading it [on 340 KB] and writing it on a CD. It worked well, someone around there even cracked it and still worked. I went home and i installed it. It said something that flash cannot be installed on my operating system. My system looks like this

Flash CS3 Install On Vista OS
HI everyone i was wondering if anyone could help me to install Flash CS3 onto my laptop which runs Vista OS. All i need is to to install a trail version onto the laptop which will keep me ticking over untill i get my MAC .
I have downloaded the trail version from the Adobe website and when i try to install flash i get this error message
"Critical errors were found in setup - session has dependencies that cannot be satisfied please see the setup log file for details"
Does anyone know what is the setup log file and were i can access it?

Detection And Install Of Flash 5
I'm looking for a tool to deploy a Flash 5 Site. I need to scan browser for flash plugin-in, and if installed ---> mysite. If not installed, ask user to install Flash 5 (not 6), then install flash 5 plugin from my site.
The deployment kit from Macromedia works great for Flash 6. However, I want no part in deploying Flash 6--as on many pc's (especially AOL users) this requires a reboot. I do not want users having to reboot their computers when visiting my site.
<venting>Why Macromedia hasn't come up with a fix to this problem is beyond me. Why would anyone visit my site again after having to reboot! Jeesh! So until Flash 6 is ubiquitous or 'required by law', I'll keep developing in Flash 5. Of course, if the user already has flash 6 installed, then great--they'll be able to view site. </venting>
So, for now I'm looking to detect and install Flash 5 only. Thanks.

Install Flash Errors
2nd request for help on this one. One of our machines will not show flash
files within explorer. When I try to install I get as far as the screen that
say you may get a security message etc. The I just see a blank area where
the moive should show. I have unistalled from control panel.
Is there a way to manually unistall or manually instal?

Successfully Install Flash On Mac
Here's a way around the Flash 9 installation problems. I'm on Mac, so I don't know if this works for PC users. This is what you do:
1. Go to System Preferences and open Users
2. Creat a new User account, and give it Administrator permissions.
3. Log out of your account and log into the new account.
4. Now, try installing Flash again. It should work (it did for me).
5. Next, log out of the new account and back into your old account. RE-install Flash here.
6. It should work on both your old and new accounts now.

Flash Install Problem
I've done flash installs on about 1000 machines but seem to be getting an error trying to install on one PC.
Dell P4 3.3ghz
OS = XP
Logging on as Administrator
Downloads flash gives me the ActiveX bar which I cllick ok. Install seems to begin but then I get error saying I don't have rights to install on PC. Like I've said I'm logged on with the admin account with full admin access but it's a no go. I've unstalled all previous flash intsalls and tried to install again but still no good. Is there some sort of registry entry or something anywhere that I can fix. I guess the easiest thing would be to reinstall the OS and all the programs but figured I'd ask before taking that measure. Can I Still Install Flash Player 8
I upgraded to Flash Player 9 a few days ago but it doesn't work! Maybe because my Windows XP is not updated. (I can't get updates for it.) Can I just go back to what I had? I think it was Flash 8. I have 2 admin accounts in windows xp and one of them will not install the new Flash 9. I tried fixing this problem with the info from a previous topic but no help. It will always work on one of my accounts but not on anyother one.
I downloaded the uninstall program to both of my desktops then ran it to remove all versions of flash player
I them rebooted my computer
When I go online my computer asks me if I want to install Adobe flash player and I choose yes to install

Trouble With Flash CS3 Install
Where do I begin with something this weird? I'm on a Windows XP laptop. I meet the minimum requirements. I downloaded the trail version of Flash Professional CS3 today. I ran the executable, which extracted files onto my Desktop. I went into the Adobe CS3 folder it put on my laptop and ran Setup.exe. It seemed to run just fine, though I wasn't paying close attention to the process. When I got the done screen, I didn't even look to see if everything had properly installed; I just assumed it did.
Now while all this was happening, I was browsing the internet. I'm both careful and paranoid, so I use Mozilla Foxfire with adblocking, etc. I went to a site I thought I could trust and something attempted to install a file on my computer, which Firefox appropriately asked me if I wanted. I said no, but it gave me a bad feeling (esp. since I never get popups like that anymore), so once Flash was done installing, I decided to use System Restore to back up to the day before, just to play it safe.
After running system restore, of course my install of Adobe Flash was gone (which I expected) so I went ahead and ran the install file again. This time I wasn't doing anything else, so I paid attention to the process. The install file ran fine, but when it got to the part where it asked me which components I wanted to install, the only component listed was the Flash Player 9 (the actual Flash Professional program was not listed as an option I could choose). Still, I checked the Player 9 and continued to see what would happen. It went to a screen that listed components it was ready to install, which *included* Flash Professional CS3. So I clicked okay, it did its thing, and when it finished it said it had succesfully installed Flash Player 9 but there had been an Error installing Flash Pro. Indeed, Flash Pro was not on my computer.
Thinking the download might be corrupt, I uninstalled Flash Player 9 and deleted the file I'd downloaded. I went back to the Adobe site and downloaded the Flash CS3 trial again. I went through the same process, with the same results. No Flash Pro, only Flash Player. I am baffled.

First off, I hit the install flash plugin from the verification page on adobe(firefox plugin prompt), after it failed it redirected me to the manual install page, which then I installed from. So i went to the mozilla page and looked through http://kb.mozillazine.org/Flash . None of the troubleingshooting helped. I check for the various bad dlls and didn't find them, then check to see if quicktime had taken it over. I just don't get why it doesn't work, I've installed flash on many computers and never had any problems like this before.

Cannot Install Flash Player 9
Can anyone help? WHen installing Flapsh Player 9 on MAc OS X I get the following error message:

1008:5,-5000 Access Denied Error"
and when I click Ok I get "You do not have anough access priveliges for this installation".
I have full Admin on my Mac, and have never had this problem before installing anything - doe anyone know how to fix it please?
