Flash MX Book?.....
I'm completely new to Flash. I've just ordered MX. I know NOTHING about this program, except it's the program to use for my website, I've benn told. All this week I"ve been checkin' out Flash sites. It's AWESOME!
My problem is that I what to buy a book, to aid me on learning this program to make my site. But I have NO idea which one to purchase. PLEASE, help me.I'm like a five year old kid, when it comes to these stuff. The reviews I've heard has me a bit lost......
Can someone aid me. I don't what to waste my money on a book that can't help a newbie. Produce a web site from start to finish.

Flash MX Book
Hi

I need some advise or recommendations for a book, about Flash MX, I´m a newby to porgramming, but I´ve figured out most / all of the drawing and animation features. I know the basics (Goto, Stop, Play, TellTarget), I need a book that explains the next step, does anyone has any good tips, the book should be in either English or Dutch.

I Want A Flash/PHP Book
Hey, I really think I'm actually going to read a book for upgrading my flash/actionscript/PHP experience. But could somebody recommend something to me, especially because I'm from the Netherlands.. It won't have to be a Dutch book, but if I could GET it here would be great. I have intermediate skills in flash, and want to start to make a login and register page, in flash, combined with PHP/MySQL.. Could somebody help me with this? Does anyone know a good book, and also a good estore to get that book to the Netherlands??

I am a flash mx user and i will consider my self knowlegable in using php. i however am not good at flash design and actionscripting.

i find it hard in properly and effectivley design my flash content especially with actionscripting.

The BEST Flash MX Book Out There
I am a begginer in Flash and I have MX. I need to know what the BEST book on the market is for Flash MX. I'm looking to use flash for web design so I need to know that and also I might touch a little on game making but I don't care to learn that now. So just a book based on websites. So if you could tell me what would be the best book for a complete newb to flash. I use swish right now but want to expand by using flash. I want to learn all aspects of Flash and what capabilities it has in web design and how to carry those out.

Hi all,
I found this book at Amazon called EZ Flash MX . The entire book is basically a bunch of really cool short projects. I mean, no dry reading just a bunch of cool experimental ideas. It is the best book I have found on Flash. The book covered some ActionScript and now I want more. So I am looking for a similar book on ActionScript.

Does anyone know of a project based book on ActionScript? I don't want to read a lot of theory or discussion. I'm looking for a book that has a bunch of cool short projects. I don't know programming but I was able to learn a lot from the EZ Flash MX book. I do not really want to learn "programming." Instead I want a book that has short interesting ActionScript projects that I can experiment with.

I do not know if there is such a book but suggestions are appreciated.

Hi i am kinda stuck with this project now & have been trying to crack it myself with no joy.. Basicly i have taken a free template of a book with page turning & have tryed to add pages & a navigation.

i cant get the rest of it working. What ever i try it just gets me no further.

Flash MX AS Book
I have a somewhat basic and probably annoying question here. I was wondering if anyone would recommend a good "learning AS" book for MX. I have the animation side down fairly well and can do some beginner AS with it. But I want to learn how to script very well; at least well enough that I could do some pretty significant coding and impressive things with it. I love the tutorials on here and have read a lot of them. But I hate copying and pasting.
I have an education and experience with HTML, Cold Fusion, JAVA, VB, PL/SQL, etc. So with all of that, is there a book that anyone could recommend? Thank you.

Best Flash Book
I'm looking to purchase a flash book as i'm going to have some freelance flash work tossed my way. I'm a traditional print designer and don't know a ton about flash which is why i'm posting in the n00b forum.

I have a good grasp of regular flash animation but from what I can tell, scripting is the way to go because there are almost infinite possibilities and animation is much smoother, so I was hoping that someone might be able to recommend their favorite book to me.

I'm not going to be doing any hardcore development (like XML/PHP integration I don't think) so I also am not looking for the most hardcore coding book out there, but i also have 2 semesters of C++ under my belt so I understand general programming concepts which can be carried over)

Is There A Flash Book Like This?
I'm wanting to find a book that tells all about Flash. Not a book that tells you how to do "cool" stuff, but one that is more like a reference book. One that tells all of the actions and their functions, all of the functions and what they do, all of the objects, and so on and so on. Basically a book that is very in depth and tells all of the ins and outs about Flash MX.

Help With Flash Book
Hey guys, I have downloaded the Flip page effect (http://iparigrafika.hu) and I need help ADDING pages to the book. I know how to go lower or keep the same pages, but they only let me have 16 and I need 20!... I know how to edit the movie clips to customize the pages. And they give you the option of changing the size of the pages. They also ask the max number of pages, but if you go about the 16, HOW DO YOU MAKE IT CONTINUE??? I have it set to 20 but once you get to page 17 a clear page flips over, but if you turn back then you can see the back of the page. But you CAN NOT go past that 17th page... Someone please help!

Flash 5 Book Recommendation
Does anyone know of any good flash 5 books? I know there are a lot of resources here at flashkit, but sometimes when I'm away from the computer, I'd like to read a good book.

Any recommendations? I messed around a little with flash 4 a while back, not much though. I want to get back into it. I would like books that are not geared towards total beginners, but yet is still thorough and informative. Any help is appreciated.
