Flash E-card With Send To Friend
Hello, I need to make a Flash E-card for a big client of mine which will go out to 20,000 people! This is only one card that will be emailed. I can take care of the animation but the client wants a "send to a friend" feature at the end of the Flash card. They want the email address entered in the "send to a friend" field to be captured to a csv file, or at least a text file, something that can be imported into Excel. And then the email address entered will receive the Flash E-card too. Can anybody show me some tutorials that can help me with this? I've looked around and haven't found much, and the ones that I have found aren't exactly what I'm looking for. I just need a send to a friend feature that will send the Flash-ecard and to have that email address entered to be put into a text file of some sort. I would appreciate any help, and direction. If you want to work with me on this and give me what I need, there is professional level compensation for you. Thanks!

E-card With Custom Name To Send A Friend
I've been asked to create an e-card where somebody can enter a name and email from somebody, so that a link is being sent to the email. When the person recieves the link and clicks it, he's being sent to the page with the swf-file on it and when the animation start it shows "Hi (name)....".
Is this possible to do this with flash (in combination with javascript or something) and how or is that not possible?

Send Flash To A Friend
I'm looking for a tutorial on how to send a SWF presentation to a friend and can't seem to find one.
Specifically what I mean is if someone views my Flash presentation on an HTML page and would like to send it to a friend, I want to ahve a simple form they can fill out and it will forward the presentation to the e-mail address they enter.
At the same time, I'd like to know who sent it and who they sent it to.

Ok, here's one for you.
I have a flash file on a website, which is a bit like this...
My own site has absolutely nothing to do with South Park whatsoever, but it is a swf file where you can build up a character based on a set of attributes like the example above.
What I would like to do in addition, is to give the user the option of sending their creation to a friend via email.
So, is it possible to do this?
My particular example has about 2,500,000 potential variations, which get generated on the fly by the user, so I think I need some sort of system that would take a screen grab of what the user had just selected and then email it to the person of their choice.
Is this a hopeless task, or is there an even better way to do it?

hey i have a "send to a friend" feature withing my swf. the user enters their friend's email and their default email program opens. i want to be able to include a BCC (blind carbon copy) within the email that is sent. the code for my send to a friend button looks like this:

Customized Send To A Friend
This is probably 50% actionscript and 50% php, but I'm creating a movie where you can arrange movie clips by drag and dropping them, and when you have everything the way you like, you need to be able to "send this to a friend" ... I'm trying to think of the best way to do this but am coming up short. I imagine there are a few ways to do this:
1) Export a .txt file with variables depicting the location of the various movie clips. The email would contain a link with a URL variable (e.g., file.html?pickupID=823355) which woudl open 823355.txt and pull the locations from there
2) Export the same as above, but using a database of some sort instead of a .txt file
3) Export a .jpg or .gif and send a link to that file (823355.jpg)
I'm not `100% confident on how to do any of these.
1) I don't know how to make flash write out to a text file
2) I don't know how to write out to a database..
3) I don't know how to export an image on the fly..
Any help"? Suggestions?

I've been teaching myself Flash for some months, but now I'm trying to do something for some weeks and I don't know how to do it, and I didn't find any tutorial to help me.
I am doing Ecards to some local bands, so, they have a music player and random info, I can do all that, but I wanted to put there a " Send a friend " section, so people could send the E-card to other friends so it would spread around faster...

I have used the contact form tutorial in the past to allow users to contact me. I have a job where they want a “Send Link to a Friend” button. It would be a basic form where a visitor would enter up to 5 email address into separate input textfields and press send. The link would then be emailed to everyone entered in the textfields.
Can someone explain to me what I would need to modify in order to accomplish this?

Hyperlink Send To Friend With Parameters
I've created a hyperlink SEND TO FRIEND from a button. The link works fine with no parameters attached (see code below). Now we need to add parameters because we're tracking clicks with Google Anaytics.
Here's the code without the params. It works fine from any email client:

-Send to a friend or better yet – more than one friend
- and also add any security measures to protect against spam hijackers (simpler is better)

Send An E-card
Hi,
I made a holiday e-card using flash and would like to email it out to people. Does anyone know how I can send it out attached to the email so when people recieve the email they see the card playing?
I've tried looking for an answer online, but so far haven't found one. I'm using Entourage to send the email and couldn't find in answer in their help either.

[F8] Memory Style Card Game Card Flipping Issue
Hey guys,
I need a little help with a project I'm doing for school. I'm designing a memory style card game where you flip cards over and if they match they go away and stuff. You know what I mean. Anyway, I can't figure out how to tell both cards to revert to their original state if you guess wrong.
I have the last card you pressed flipping back over no problem. It's just the first one that won't do anything and I can't figure out how to reference it.

I was wondering how you can email a friend or IM (instant message) a friend from your flash page. Examples are theused.net. When you get into their main page, the music player, you can email a friend from the Flash page and tell them about the site. you can also instant message a friend and do the same thing. how do they do that? does anyone know the actionscripting behind it?

Im tryin to put a 'recommend to a friend' input box in my flash movie where the user enters a friends email address, hits a button and a message gets send to that email basically saying 'your friend blar has recommend this site to you, blar blar blar'
So far I have an input box called 'friend', and a button.....what's the rest?
Someone else is doing the backend that'll email it out, so I just need the bit that checks that a valid email has been entered in the friend box, and the code that'll export the value of friend.
Also..if at all possible....when it checks the email, can I set it up so it checks for webmail addresses like yahoo.com, hotmail.com, etc etc?......the client doesnt want people to be able to enter these sort of address......or is that separate code?

in flash I have 6 email fields to fill out.....my action scritpt is just good for the top email field......when i type in an email address in the second-sixth it does not
work it only works for the first one......my action script looks like this....

I have a really nice PHP tell a friend script that works great. I can call the form using the getURL but i need to make the script read the page URL that the .swf file lives on and not the .swf file itself.
Is there a way to make this happen?

Completely Stumped My Flash Guru Friend
Last week, I posted about my problems using transitions with external swfs...since then have tried a variety of approaches, asked my flash genius friend, who can't seem to figure it out either.
I'm using this code from the great tutorial on kirupa on each of the buttons:

The resulting swf calls up the first half of the movies no problem. That part is seamless. However, the 'outros' are nowhere to be found.

Send Real Fax/send Pdf In Mail, Using Flash
Hi, I am a moderate flash designer and mostly make animations. I don't work with actionscript too much so I really need your guys' help. I need 2 things.
First: I am making an internet fax demo where I want someone to enter their email in a simple text box, click send, and it will email a pdf document to the email address (a sample fax).
Second: In the same demo, there will be another text box, where a user would enter a fax number, hit send, and it will fax them the pdf (or the stuff in the pdf in any other format) to their fax machine.
is this doable using flash? I don't even mind if i have to use a php or a xml file. but in that case, i also want to know what to write in the actionscript to call those files.
I would really appreciate if someone could please help me out with this. I had been searching all night, i found some actionscripts but have no clue what they mean.
