OK, so i have made an animation for a different message board that i post on.

I want to put the animation in my signature. Does the board need somting active, or do i have to do somthing sneaky to put it on?

Can you just put it in using HTML? If so, what tag do i use?

Would i have to embed it into an HTML document, if yes how do i put it in my sig?

I've noticed that some people have flash in their signatures... I have a flash animation I would like to use, but I can't figure out how to do it... I have the .swf uploaded to my webpage already, I just need to know how to link it so it shows up in my sig. How could I go about doing this?

Animated Flash Signature
Hi, ive been going along by myself making a flash sig, not knowing the correct way. I have two problems. What I did was I recorded a clip in fraps, encoded it, and put it into flash 8. there is only one area the actual sig sees, the rest is outside the view and is still animated with the movie. Is there any way I can crop the movie?

Second, the animation plays automatically. I currently have a Play/Stop button for music in the corner, which 2 buttons set in a movie clip. The movie itself is just plain in the scene timeline. I would like for the animation to start when the start button is pressed, and stop when the stop button is pressed, so if the signature is shown multipule times in one thread, it doesnt lag people to death.

Flash Application Signature
I wanted to make an application / purchase order in flash, so that the viewer can see the application and add a signature with their mouse. When they hit submit it emails the application to me with the signature. Is there anyway to do this or can anyone point me in the right direction?

Flash Projector Mac Signature?

I'm wondering if anyone here knows what is the mac signature for a flash projector ? APPL / SWF2 ?
Here's my problem : flash produces projectors: a .exe for pc and a .hqx for mac. But the .hqx is in fact just a zip file sort of. So if i use that, the mac will decompress the file on the local drive and i don't want that, i want the product to ONLY run from the cd-rom. So i can extract the .hqx to get the executable for mac but i need to add file signature for it to open in the mac (cause i'm on pc).I use MacDrive and MacImage to xfer the files between the mac drive and the pc drive. So far i've tried APPL/SWF2 which appears, once burned on a hybrid cd, like a regular executable for Mac but if launched, nothing happens..

Html Signature Blocks In Flash
I am attempting to place an html code into my all flash site. The game i play has a tracker that supplies a signature block with realtime statistics. I cannot seem to place it into my site. The html that I am trying to use is as follows:

It provides a small block of text that changes dependent on my play. I am trying to place other members signature blocks on my site but cannot seem to do it. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I have tried using photoshop to embed html into the file that way and then importing it into flash, but flash doesnt recognize it. I have only been using flash and other programs for a little over a month so I am kinda new and ignorant, so if you are able to help I would appreciate as laymen as you can get. Thanks. I have been trying to do this but it looks very bad. I publushed the fla as a jpeg but the quality is very low, I hardly can read the text.

I'm trying to embed flash movies into our welcome page and I'm running into some difficulties. Here's the code I'm using:

(I realise that I shouldn't have a fully-qualified URL in there but I was testing it from an html file on my desktop.)

The problem is that it doesn't load the mtClip.swf file correctly. If I replace the 2 references to mtClip.swf with intro1.swf for example, it'll happily show the animation. I know that mtClip.swf works because I can drop it into my browser and it plays correctly. It just isn't working inside the <object></object> tags.

Do you have any suggestions how I can get this to work?

Bad Animations In Flash
I'm animating in flash mx 2004 pro. When i tween a MC from left to right (or vice versa) it looks as if the edges are trembling.

How do i prevent this???

Hi , I am very new to the program Flash. I would like any help to get my drawings in an animation. I use the newest Flash 8 for my mac. I'm thinking it is some sort of component plug in judging by the pixelated edges of the rectangles. Maybe not. If anyone knows or has some suggestions as to how to pull this off or knows of a plug that achieves the same technique please let me know.

1.I am making an animated musical tape.
The point is that I want this animation to be smooth and only to roll the tape scrollers, to have a feeling like the tape is rolling

2. This one is more simple
It's kind of light ball mechanism, whenever a button is presed all the environment is becoming dark with tranparency

Need Some Help Regarding Flash Animations
My problem is I want to create a flash with some objects that user can modify them in to some shape or object. For eg. Say I have some wheels, bars and connectors displayed in my flash and user can design a cart using them.

I played "Rumble Fish" today at the Chinatown Fair(name of the arcade) its a Flash animation and it looked Much better than any 2D fighting game that i have ever played in history besides Guilty Gear . It Used Flash Animation and the Characters moved more fluid.

My Question is, is there any good programs used for flash Animations? Im gonna goodle but its always good to Get Advice from others.

im pritty new to flash and have a few questions..

1) how can i make it so that i have 2 input boxs and a submit button (used for a login screen) so when you enter a name and password it checks to see if it exists (like a normal log in form)

2) how would i go about haveing an animation of a door opening? (swinging now sliding)

im asking because im makeing a web application and i need this flash for the login screen.

(i have to impress some importent people) im just asking for some help / tutorials on it not for it to be done for me as that would stop me from learning it my self.

i have decided to change the flash animation a litle bit, here is what i want to do now.

instead of haveing a door open i want to make it so that there is a number pad (numbers 0 - 9 with # and *) (like this image )

and make it so users have to click the numbers to enter the password (would need a little display that would show a * each time that the user presses a button)

is this possible?

Hello all. My first post on this site.

I'm setting up my own personal photography website. http://www.robertsphotos.com and would like to know any good sites where I can obtain free flash for my banner.

My site has been set-up from scratch on Frontpage XP. I have learned from trail and error, wish I'd found this forum sooner! Any comments on my site please. Note I very stupidly forget most people don't have broadband so if you are using dial-up live It a min to load.

Problems With Flash MX Animations
Hi All.
I am fairly new to using flash so any assistance is appreciated.
When I create the flash animation and publish it on my web site it takes ages to load. I have noticed with most animations on other web sites that they appear immediately and the other frames continue to download and at least you can see the first few frames as the rest of the animation continues to load.
So basically when someone goes to the site they do not see the flash animation because it takes ages to load, but the amimation is only about 100k?
Is there maybe some script that loads the the animation's first frame to start with so you can see that there is an image there?

I thought Quicktime or swf - but the viewer need a plugin to view it. Is there any format i can attach a format in the email so that any computer can view the animation?

Slow Flash Animations
I have been working on a new flash site for a few weeks and am not too far into the project, but already my exported swf seems to run slowly. I have alot of great ideas for the site but am worried that if I add too much movement it will be a dog. I am fairly inexperienced with flash and think I am either producing this wrong or am overdoing it. If someone has a chance please look at this FLA (267k) and let me know what they think.

Also if there is a good page that has quick tips on keeping flash moving smoothly, i could use that too!

i remember a few years ago using a application that compiled flash swf files into floating movies that could sit on the windows desktop without a window. i thought it was cool at the time but had no use for it.

but alas i have a use for it now...but i dont have a clue what its called
