Need Some Help In Flash MX, Asap
Hello, I am currently creating a website in flash mx and need to get an interactive main page up and running. The problem is I am new to flash interaction and animation.

I've checked a number of different tutorials but none go in depth enough to give me the proper knowledge.

The main page will be done completely in flash, I've provided pictures below of what I want to help you understand what I am trying to do:

And this image shows how the website (main page) would look:

As you can see, its not an overly complicated page, but I am clueless of how to achieve it and need your help as soon as possible.

I would like a run through of how I would get stated, how I should organise layers, and how I would go about putting in animations/actions and then making them interact with other parts of the flash, such as the big turning wheel.

I don't mind you speaking to me as if I'm a newbie, because I am in this particular area

Need Flash Guy ASAP
I need a 3.5 min flash video cut into 6 seperate parts. Its will require removing the sound and cutting it into 6 parts as well. need this ASAP, within a few hrs.

ASAP HELP NEEDED IN FLASH MX
Hi! I need help with the following thing really fast!

How can I make a button which when pressed will load external content in a dynamic textfield. For example, if I press "button1" I want text1.txt to load in a dynamic textfield. When "button2" is pressed, I want text2.txt to replace the text in the same textfield. Hope it makes sense! Also I've read something about checking to see that it hasloaded or something??

Flash Help Needed ASAP
I have a site temp that I bought and it is an all flash site. I have the need to make pop up menus for the site. I need the pop up menus to bring up a sub menu that would bring up another menu. I would like to have the menu start when they roll over text. I will make buttons to replace the text if i have to.

New here. Nice to see an active group of people working here.

I need some help. I am designing a e-learning project.
I am converting text book experiments in to animation. I am using flash MX for the purpose.

I want to know how i can put the animation (some 100-200 ) into the main interface (flash)

Shall i export them to flash and place them ? or shalli convert them (export) to quicktime files and then place them in flash interface???

i also want to know how i can place controll buttons like play, stop, pause and scroll bar (timeline bar to go forward and backwards in the animation itself) for both flash and quicktime. I know how it is done in Director but donno anything abt flash..pls help. ASAP..

Hi, i am a complete newbie as you may see... I am new to the worlds technology today language-wise... I have just finished learning a lot of HTML and in fact i made a webpage too, but its kind of boring and outdated now and i want to learn about Flash and how to make a Flash website.

I understand you need a program called Macromedia Flash 5, which i have, but do you need any additional programs??
Also, some people are telling me that the program Flash 5 is only used to make MOVIES, not WEBSITES..

.asp To Flash Var Problem? Help Needed ASAP
If on the main movie timeline I create a variable, Then from a loaded movie clip I call that var to check its value, depending on that value I do certain tasks, If the task is successful I change the value of the var from .asp. On the next call to that var the value hasn't changed from the original value??? I have created a text box with the same name to check and the return string from asp file does change the value. Any Ideas????

I have done an intro animation for a website I'm doing but am having trouble finishing it off and would really appreciate it if someone could donate some time.

Flash Game Question. Please Help. Need Asap
Hi.

Im creating a game kind of like Alien Invasion and i have a few questions. Im almost done but these are the things i couldn't figure out.

1: How can i make my character (space ship) change weapons with the 123 etc. keys? but still make it fire with spacebar? i would also make it so that once a player reaches a certain score they obtain these weapons.

2: I want to make a text box that displays the total shots/hits/misses and show that in the high score (the Percentage.)

3: How do i make a text field/box where people can type in cheats and unlock certain items or levels?

Flash 8 Form Help Needed ASAP
First let me say thankyou in advance!

I am trying to make a flash banner with a form on it. I have the html version of the form from my client, and I followed the tutorial on how to convert HTML to Flash forms from the tutorial section of this site, but it's still not working.

It seems to work locally but I can't get it to work when I publish it and upload it to my testing server. There are a bunch of hidden fields, 3 telephone number fields which are only supposed to allow maxChars, which works locally, and then there are variables which are supposed to submit to the landing page that the form connects to.

PLEASE HELP ASAP Button In Flash CS3 Not Working
I need help desperately. As soon as possible. I only know the VERY basic's of flash, so I need it to be simple!! I am using Flash CS3, but the only coding I know is from Flash 8.

1.I simply want to just be able to type out text that will be my button. (I clearly know how to do this)
2.Convert that text to a button. (I know how to do this as well)
3. Apply an action to the button. (I keep getting the error "actions cannot be applied to the current selection")
4. Have that button go to a specific place in the timeline that I have named (It has the red flag next so I know where to send the button to)
5. This is the ONLY code I know is even close to what I need to have it be at:

Scrollbar And Content In Flash - ASAP
Hello,

I had a quick question. I am kind of new to flash and I am trying to make my portfolio in flash. Anyways, what I need to know is how to make a scroll (functional one) in flash that will be able to carry all the information I want in it. Basically in the scroll area each of the red boxes just link to a URL, so it’s pretty simple. All of this is static (needed to get something up quick for an internship). I have seen some people offering files so that newbie flasher can use them as templates, but I don't recall where I saw it. Here is what I want to do:

Looking For Good Tutorial On Flash Mx Navigation Buttons ASAP Please
Can anyone direct me to a good tutorial for creating navigation buttons in a flash mx movie? I cannot for the life of me find a good one. I need the user to be able to hit a "next" or "previous" button to go from section to section of the movie. I've followed the "buttons.asp" tutorial in flash... but it only shows navigation to one section... I need to navigate to about 20 sections. I'm going insane trying to figure this out. I even dissected one of the flash tutorials to try and see how it was set up! HELLLP! You'll be my hero.

Flash Header Not Working Properly Help Needed Asap

I have a flash movie that I want to put a loading screen on. I screwed up and made then entire movie into a movie clip without any loading screens and the movie is rather large. A Little Help Asap
i need some help with my game. i made a dart game and when you press space bar the dart is thrown. the top of the code is if (Key.isDOWN(Key.SPACE)) {

how do i get the dart to fly when the space bar is released instead of when it is down??

another question:
i want it so if you hit the target, it will go to another frame. the target is its own symbol and its instance is called "target". when the dart flies onto the target it will go to and play something else. how would i do this??

last question:
in the bottom of the screen i have a moviclip "ammo". it displays how much ammo is left. the movieclip is made so every number of ammo has a stop action on it, and after 1 is says gameover. when you push the space bar, the dart is thrown and a telltarget action tell "ammo" to play, therefore lowering by a number. am i doing this correctly? and when "ammo" goes down to gameover, how can i make it end the game??

Thanks in advance for the help.

I have a flash app that saves images a user has created to an access db with ASP.
Then they can click on a compare button to see what looks they have saved and compare it to thier original image.

I get all the data back into flash (SaveTime, SaveDate, SaveName, FlashURl)
SaveTime = The time the image was saved
SaveDate = The date the image was saved
SaveName = Name the user gave to the image that was saved (My Evening Look)
FlashURL = The original image name that was saved (image1.jpg)

I can get all that info back into flash but need to create a button that the user can click on and bring thier saved image back into the app.

The info comes back into flash from ASP as an array. I split the array with "," and then loop through and duplicate my movie clips to load the info.

Below is the code I am using to populate some buttons. I have two arrays buttonArray which labels the buttons
(Financials, Portfolio, Summary, Reports, Administration, Contact Us, Help) and movieArray which tells the buttons what to do(basically load in the proper movie and the data).
I can't get my buttons to recognize the movieArray.

When I click on the buttons it doesnt load the right movie it says undefined or gives me the name of the last piece of data in the array which is the world help. Help is part of the menu.

What am I doing wrong....need to get this working by end of today (5pm)

I'm new to all this Flash stuff but I know Java Script and HTML well but I have a 2 part question that I really need help with. Hi im a beginner at actionscript and i would like to know how to make a scoreboard and a timer. It's a math game, so every equation that is correct then you get 1 point and go to the next equation then when it reaches 10 you goto another frame. Also i want a timer that when the game starts the time count down from 60 seconds. If you dont finish the game within 60 secs then it goto another frame (game over). It would be great help if you help me since i've tried so many stuff and it didn't work. I just need the basic script so i can work along it. Thank you.

Hello I'm new here and in desperate need of help, I've got stuff to do for tomorrow in Flash but something has been bugging me for a long time now and I can't concentrate.

The actual workspace in flash (not the background, just to make sure nobody thinks that) is a horrible code of #E5E5E5 which really isn't easy for me on the eye when working with a white background.

How do I change it???? It may sound simple BUT, since I got CS3 I just can't figure it out and I'm not exactly a learner either, I've been using flash for a long time but my head is gone AWOL...........

Flash Variables ASAP

I have a Flash form with fields (First Name and Passowrd). I'm trying to pass the variables to the query string in the url. Is there a certain action script I should be using? I know that this may seem easy but I'm at a loss right now. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.
