3D Animations In Flash
Hi! I'm trying to figure out how to create a 3D animation of this picture in flash:

I want to make a rotating image of it- kind of like a object movie I suppose. I don't have any 3D software, or the $$$ to buy Any suggestions?

Flash Animations
I'm trying to embed flash movies into our welcome page and I'm running into some difficulties. Here's the code I'm using:

(I realise that I shouldn't have a fully-qualified URL in there but I was testing it from an html file on my desktop.)

The problem is that it doesn't load the mtClip.swf file correctly. If I replace the 2 references to mtClip.swf with intro1.swf for example, it'll happily show the animation. I know that mtClip.swf works because I can drop it into my browser and it plays correctly. It just isn't working inside the <object></object> tags.

Do you have any suggestions how I can get this to work?

Bad Animations In Flash
I'm animating in flash mx 2004 pro. When i tween a MC from left to right (or vice versa) it looks as if the edges are trembling.

How do i prevent this???

Help With Flash 8 Animations
Hi , I am very new to the program Flash. I would like any help to get my drawings in an animation. I use the newest Flash 8 for my mac. I need help on how to make Movies or any type of great Flash animation. I know some of the basic drawing stuff and how to make things into movie clips , but I am having trouble following many tutorials. I'm thinking it is some sort of component plug in judging by the pixelated edges of the rectangles. Maybe not. If anyone knows or has some suggestions as to how to pull this off or knows of a plug that achieves the same technique please let me know.

1.I am making an animated musical tape.
The point is that I want this animation to be smooth and only to roll the tape scrollers, to have a feeling like the tape is rolling

2. This one is more simple
It's kind of light ball mechanism, whenever a button is presed all the environment is becoming dark with tranparency

Need Some Help Regarding Flash Animations
My problem is I want to create a flash with some objects that user can modify them in to some shape or object. For eg. Say I have some wheels, bars and connectors displayed in my flash and user can design a cart using them.

I played "Rumble Fish" today at the Chinatown Fair(name of the arcade) its a Flash animation and it looked Much better than any 2D fighting game that i have ever played in history besides Guilty Gear . It Used Flash Animation and the Characters moved more fluid.

My Question is, is there any good programs used for flash Animations? Im gonna goodle but its always good to Get Advice from others.

Hello all. My first post on this site.

My site has been set-up from scratch on Frontpage XP. I have learned from trail and error, wish I'd found this forum sooner! Any comments on my site please. Note I very stupidly forget most people don't have broadband so if you are using dial-up live It a min to load.

Problems With Flash MX Animations
Hi All.
I am fairly new to using flash so any assistance is appreciated.
When I create the flash animation and publish it on my web site it takes ages to load. I have noticed with most animations on other web sites that they appear immediately and the other frames continue to download and at least you can see the first few frames as the rest of the animation continues to load.
So basically when someone goes to the site they do not see the flash animation because it takes ages to load, but the amimation is only about 100k?
Is there maybe some script that loads the the animation's first frame to start with so you can see that there is an image there?

How To Resize Flash Animations?
I am new at Flash (v5) and would like to know how to resize an animation without disturbing the graphical elements and embedded actionscript. In other words, is there a quick, easy way to do this? Or is it a case of manually re-positioning graphics?

Help! Can anyone tell me what i need to do to a flash animation (christmas card) to make it universally seen on email packages on by both mac and Pc ?
I thought Quicktime or swf - but the viewer need a plugin to view it. Is there any format i can attach a format in the email so that any computer can view the animation?

Slow Flash Animations
I have been working on a new flash site for a few weeks and am not too far into the project, but already my exported swf seems to run slowly. I have alot of great ideas for the site but am worried that if I add too much movement it will be a dog. I am fairly inexperienced with flash and think I am either producing this wrong or am overdoing it. If someone has a chance please look at this FLA (267k) and let me know what they think.

Also if there is a good page that has quick tips on keeping flash moving smoothly, i could use that too!

i remember a few years ago using a application that compiled flash swf files into floating movies that could sit on the windows desktop without a window. i thought it was cool at the time but had no use for it.

but alas i have a use for it now...but i dont have a clue what its called

When I attempt to make flash animations, say something as simple as a character walking, all the body parts merge together.

Merging Two Flash Animations
Hey everybody,

I have a flash animation which I have recently added another animation to, which is a seperate animation altogether. Basically, the new piece I have added is like a little introduction. Initially, I used the loadMovie command to load the introduction into the movie, let it play through, and then unloaded the introduction when it was finished. However, I recently transferred it to a friends computer in an *.exe format (as they don't have flash) and of course, without the original introduction file actually 'within' the animation, no introduction is shown.

I am basically wondering if it is possible to have my intro placed in the .exe file in some way? Obviously, the most basic way includes me pasting the whole animation in; however the animation is quite complex and when I paste it, the animation is positioned differently and involves a LOT of repositioning of tiny elements on different layers. Can an animation be pasted into another with specific coordinates? Or is there another solution?

Putting Flash Animations On DVD
I need to burn my Flash animation to a DVD or any other type of device that can be played on a regular TV. I've tried converting the file to .mov, but for some reason my Sonic program (MyDVD) does not want to import the file, most likely because of the audio. Is there any other possible way to put my Flash animations onto a DVD?

Translating Flash Animations
What is the best way to create a flash animation that can be easily translated to different languages, if needed?

I need to create one that later will be translated (including buttons, menus, and text)... Should I link to an external text file? Are there any samples of such animations?

Flash Animations To Betacam
I have a Flash animation that I want to put in Betacam. I have it on DVD now, but on it looks a little jagged.
My client wants it in an analog format for TV. How can I do that?

Activate Flash Animations
When I ad flash animations to my website, I always have to click on them once to activate them before you can actually use the hyperlink that I created in the animation. I just went to shockwave.com and noticed that you don't have to do that for the animations to be active. How do I bypase the "Click here to activate and use this control" for my flash animations in my website. Here is an example of what i'm talking about:

OK, so i have made an animation for a different message board that i post on.

I want to put the animation in my signature. Does the board need somting active, or do i have to do somthing sneaky to put it on?

Can you just put it in using HTML? If so, what tag do i use?

Flash Animations Help A Newbie Out
I just started using flash a little while ago. Ive gotten tweening down pretty good, got buttons working, shapes to morph, color morphing and a few other things.

My reason for starting flash is mainly becuase I am in shock of some of the stick fighting movies ive seen. They are just so beautifully crafted.

I dont know where to even begin to learn how to make sticks, make them move or anything. Anyone got a link to sites giving some decent tutorials? Or might anyone have some scrap files they might let me look at to try to learn a bit on? Its be much appreicated my email is lost9soul@aol.com.

Is Anyone Here Good With Flash Animations?
Hi everyone, I just joined about 2 minutes ago. Someone recommended I come here to ask this. I have a question about Flash Animations. I'm pretty new to the whole animating business. I tried making an animation a little while ago of two original characters my friend and I created singing to "Underground" by Ben Folds Five. I lined up their mouths to the words, but as the file got bigger, the pictures slowed down and it didn't line up anymore. And when I tried to upload it to http://www.imageshack.us, there wasn't any sound at all. I don't know if it's a problem with my Flash, or if there's something I need to be doing that I'm not, because I basically have no clue what I'm doing here. If anyone is willing to help out a newbie that's going to ask a lot of stupid questions, please reply. I have 3D Flash Animator 4 release 5. Thanks!

Animations Playing Over Animations...
Alrighty,

First off I'm not new to flash, however when it comes to scripting, I am. Heres the issue I'm having:

I have a website entirely done in flash. When you select a side link it plays a short animation on the main animation and then loads another animation upon the main one. This way you only load what you need as you need it. When it appears it gives the illusion of all being part of one site. Now, I'm trying to set it up so that you can select a link on this 2nd animation and have it bring up another animation over part of it... I did it... Thing is, whenever I select one of the far off links to the left from the main animation it wont get rid of the tiny animation brought forth by animation 2... It just stays there and wont go away.

Anyhoo, sorry if this issue is a very simple error and the entire question void of all inteligence, but any help woud be great.

Combining Seperate Flash Animations
Im trying to combine to flash animations I've created. One is an animation of bars just moving up and down. Like audio bars. The second animation is just a picture of a large folder that fades in and becomes my background. I'd upload it and how you guys what Im talkign about but ghey geocities isn't allowing me to connect through Dreamweaver and Im to lazy to do the HTML work. I have been ale to use the 'Import' and import the bars into the folder but there 1. To Large and 2. They aren't animated for whatever reason.

Flash Animations Over Browser Window
Ive seen this technique for random adverts etc: How is this achieved?

Teh page loads up and an irregular-shaped flash advert appears on screen and either zooms in or out or disappears off screen. is it using DHTML to move teh flash around on screen and if it is, are there any tutorials around to do it?

I need to get a character to appear and flutter around on screen for a bit, say a message then leave again. This is to happen over an existing .asp website that should run independantly of the advert that appears.

Any idea?

Bottomline.. I'm just wondering how sites like http://xeofreestyle.com do those nice white vector 3D effects and also those true 3d animations:

(main question): do they use 3d studio max to take bmp's frame-by-frame or are they using Swift 3d in order to achieve that ? This sort of eye-candy animation is what I've been wanting to learn for quite some time now, so I've decided to give it a stab today and ask you guys, for the best way of going at it
