Flash :: Floating Button?

Floating Button
I want to creat some buttons that move onto the screen from every angle and come to rest in there proper place. I don't know if i can do this in flash alone or if i need to use action script. I have also thought of doing a fade in of the buttons from 0 alpha to 100. anyone know of any tuts that explain how to do this. ( I know they may be on this site but to be honest I just found this site and have to leave to meet a friend soon and don't have time to look so please forgive the noob.)

Hi people.

Ive created as Hot Air Balloon button. Im wanting the button ta start off a certain point in my movie, then slowly float upwards to a certain point at the top of my movie and then stop.

Is there any tutorials out there that can help me, or a board member...
cant c it being to tough, though, I don't know much bout actionscript

I have a client that wants a button that floats on top of the html page and that stays on the pages even if the end user scrolls up/down, and needs to be a flash movie. Any one got any ideas or have done this?

I'm not sure how to phrase this, but here it goes.

Can someone tell me what I should look under in the tutorials, or movies, or basically tell me how to do the following;

I created a map in flash, the map is much to large to display the entire map on one screen, even at 1600 X 1200 resolution. I want to create a smaller key map plan of the entire map in the upper left hand corner. When the user clicks on a location of the smaller map, it'll bring the user to the location on the much larger map. The small key map would have to be able to scroll with the user up, down, left or right, but would have to stay fixed in the upper left hand corner. Can someone direct me to the right location on learning how to do this, or what to look under?. Thanks.

p.s. if what I'm explaining isint clear, I'll post a pic of what I'm trying to do.

I got the floating label down, but now I want to make a little movie that allows the label to fade in when you roll over the button, but it won't let me put any action scripts in the movie, it will work if I dont have any in the movie, but when I put the stop at the end it doesn't do anything, just pops up.

also, how do I give each button its own movie clip?

Hi

Does anyone know how I can make a button appear hovering beside an object when you move your mouse cursor over it?

An example of what I mean can be found here: http://www.ei.be (go the the Menu button, down right and then to ei recepten, click on the fridge to open it. When you move your mouse over the objects, a button appears that says the name of the object)

Floating Button With Random Movement
Hello all. I need help with this floating button thing. What I would like is for a button to appear (fade in) on the stage and then randomly float around slowly and of course it would bounce off the x and y axis. I would like to achieve this with actionscript alone and have more than one button floating (it's a links page so each button is a link)

In some websites when you click on an image a floating window appears with a larger image. Looks like a "globe text used in the cartoons, is rectangular though.

Hi, have created a small Flash banner and have figured out how to float it over a Web page. Have not figured out what actionscript or other means for the "Close" button on the banner to actually work--close out the Flash.

(I'm also interested in how I might add a drop shadow or other highlight to the floating banner to distinguish it more.)

I'm not the greatest person ever to use actionscript, but i'm not that bad.. Hello. Does anyone know a good way to make a movie clip seem like its floating in water? Right now I'm just using tweens that loop and it bogs down a lot when all 3 objects are on screen. I checked out some of Penner's scripts but they don't seem to look right in my particular situation.

Wondered if anyone out there can help.
I need some actionscript which will move an object gently and smoothly from one position to another. The intention is to have a few objects hovering and swaying gently in a random way so an onClipEvent block of code that could just be dropped in to each would be cool. It would be best also if this movement could be constrained to within a certain distance from an original position.

I wanted to avoid having to have multiple timeline animations hence the above request. So far my efforts have not yielded a smooth gentle movement only fast jerky movements.

ok heres the deal...i made a 3d space man in swift, i impoted it into flash jsut fine, but i want to know if theres a way to make him float around the page and bump into object with out using motion guide, the whole hting has to be small in size and im not a master action scripter yet, but am willing to try anything, PLEASE HELP!!!!

Hi folks, I have built a 'floating' navbar with a bit of friction added. It is a movie clip with embedded buttons. Wierd thing is, when I constrain the drag to a rectangle the buttons become inactive, i.e. they arent seen as buttons anymore. If you move the mouse and catch the buttons b4 they settle (because of the friction) they do work!

I've created a fla with two buttons. I want to call upon a floating window bij clicking on each button but the floating window has to be corresponding to the button. Now, as you can see, by clicking on both buttons a same flaoting window appears ... how can i solve these problems? Or how can i make this work in a total different way?

Friends,

Here's one I hope will be simple but I'm having a hard time wrapping my brain around it.

I can create a ball that randomly bounces around the screen. But what if I wanted that ball to be a floating balloon that doesn't travel straight lines but randomly meanders around the screen?

I haven't even started coding yet and was hoping to save some time on the front-end.
