Fonts Must Be Installed Massage How Do I Remove It ?
Hi,
I made my flash site on pc using a Hebrew version of windows.When I open the site from the browser on a non Hebrew windows machine I receive a massage which asks me to install Hebrew fonts (weird i didn't use any Hebrew fonts in my site). My site is in English only and I would like to remove this massage that pops up before the site lunches.

Is there a way of using a system font in a flash movie and having it antialiased without embeding the font with the movie.
Arial, for example, is installed on almost everyones computer but in order to have it antialiased I still have to embed the font which will increase file size.

Installed Fonts Not Showing In Menu
I’m sorry, I did a search and I know this question has been asked many times before but I’ve never seen it answered. I’ve got true type fonts exported from Mac to PC via Fontographer … Photoshop (CS1), Illustrator (CS1), and Quark (as old as v5) all see the full family but Flash MX04 does not. I’ve tried a few other font conversion utilities without any luck. I don’t know if it makes a difference or not but in all cases the fonts have been from large families (like HelveNeu) that use numbers to identify specific variants, like HelvNeu 87 Heavy Condensed. Anyone know a quick fix (rebuying the entire Adobe & Linotype libraries is not an option)?

Fonts Missing In Flash That Are Installed
Hi there,
I've created a layout in Illustrator using Myriad font, however when I import into Flash (on the same system) it says the font is missing. Sure enough Flash doesn't have Myriad in the font drop down, even though it is installed on the machine & visable to other apps. What's the problem?!

But now nothing seems to work. It only shows 3 fonts something like (_serif, _sans..)
All my previous works which had extensive text in it has become, I might say, ODD, as it is not accepting the fonts.
For new flash works what I do is edit the registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER - Software - Macromedia - Flash6 - TextFontPanel = Font Name
I change the value of the Font Name to whatever Font I want and open Flash, then it starts with the font.
What might be the problem?

Remove Unused Fonts
For filesize-matter the following question: I used 2 fonts in my movie, but when I look at the size-report I see there are 2 more fonts embedded in the movie, but I can't find where they are in my movie (I am convinced they are not there). Is there a way to remove these embedded redundant fonts?

For Sensual Massage
In the next half hour I'm going to start working on making scrollbars in my movie. But before I do that, I have a question that I hope someone can answer. Okay, here goes.
If you're designing a Flash movie that has certain scrollable text movies within it, what would be a better move if you had to update the text frequently?
would it be better to load the text from an external source or is it just as effective for updating as non-external?

Cream And Massage
Hi everyone, i am working on a project and have become stuck today and was hoping i could get some advice.
The aim is to create a 'game' where the user has to please a woman by applying suncream to her back and then massaging it in! The original idea was to simulate the cream using the drawing tools, which i have done using 4 lines of varying thickness and color to give the lines a falloff effect. This works well and was pretty straightforward, but now i need to be able to massage the cream in.
At first i was planning to simply tween the thickness of the lines whilst applying a blur or an alpha fade to look like the cream's being rubbed in. I didnt realise that the line objects can not be altered after drawing (the thickness cant anyway) so i can fade the cream out but it doesnt look realistic. Does anyone have any good tips for how to do this nicely? Do you think using the drawing API and redrawing the lines would be best, or attaching a series of movie clips/graphics? I have tried both of these methods without much success and would really appreciate some input or pointers to tutorials. Thanks for any help.

JavaScript Remove. Remove Flash Applet When Done Playing?
Is there anyway to remove a section of HTML with a javascript? Ive seen ones that replace text segments, and remove certain tags like <br>. I want it to remove the flash applet once its done playing.

Installing MX With 5 Installed
I have Flash 5 and want to keep it on my machine as well as get Flash MX. Before I go through the trouble of getting MX, does anyone know if the install will overwrite the install of 5 for MX, or does it keep 5 and add MX onto my machine. I don't want an update of software, I want to have both programs running. I have a couple of files that don't work correctly on Flash MX as I've noticed on others' computers. I need to keep Flash 5 to edit these files when needed. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Do You Have Flash 5 Installed And Can You Help Me?
I've inhereted a small web site with a Flash nav file that I can't open with Flas MX. I'm guessing that this was originally done in Flash 4. Flash MX2004 (I hate that name by the way) can't open the file. If you have Flash 5 installed could you open the attached file and save it for me and post it back here?
I'm totally guessing as to why I can't open this file, I may be totally off base, if nothing else I'd like to get the library out of it.

What Happens If Flash Is Not Installed ?
Hi
I will be having a static website with small piece of flash installed see link.

If flash is not installed i am presented with a broken image (i have put a background image as you can see). If flash is installed then everything is ok and runs smoothly.
I remember a while ago the publish setting in flash had something like, if flash is not installed display graphic. Is this option still available or am i wishing it ?
I don't really want to do a redirect to another page, if the sound won't play because a user doesn't have flash that ok also but i don't want that broken link image on top of my image. i'm sure flash did something like this, i see that all gif and jpegs are saved out as separate files when publishing. Whats the point of this ? i saved out a jpg and it's the same as the actually movie (inc buttons) looks like an alt image to me.

Installed Flash But Still Can't Use It
My kids are trying to access Webkinz and we keep getting the message we need to install Flash. We click on the link, complete the installation, receive the message the installation was successful, but when we go back to Webkinz, we still get the "install Flash" message. (I did reboot.)

How To See A Font Not Installed
I've made a game. And of course there's a lot of text, and buttons with text.
I've used a font called "Monoglyceride". But many people doesn't have that font already. So when they play my game, the buttons and all the places with text, are invisible/empty. What do I have to do to make the text visible for people without that font?

I have a problem regarding Flash detection: I have a Flash introduction which often can not be viewed in offices where Flash and Shockwave are dissabled. How can I make a browser move on to another page (HTML), if Flash is not detected.

I have a client that wants Flash to launch acrobat from a CD. Launching Acrobat with the FS command is no problem. But what if the user doesn't have Acrobat? Is there a way to detect this and if it's not installed, request that the user install it?

Hi, here is a silly question that has been asked a lot but I cant seem to find an answer to.
If a user has no flash player installed on their browser how do you display a message to the user to goto adobes website and download/install flash??

Recognizing If Someone Has Flash Installed?
I am building a web site for an advertising/marketing comapany and they want a flash banner and navigation at the top of the page. They also want a HTML-only version for some of their clients.
They suggested that I build a 'splash' page to offer a link to the flash and html pages.
However, I do not like that idea and was wondering if there is a script I can put on the main page to redirect them if a flash player is not found on their compter? That way clients can go straight to the main page, and if they can't view the flash navigation bar, it will re-direct them to the HTML pages.
Is what I am trying to accomplish possible? Are there any other solutions?

Flash 8 Installed But Not Working
I have two "administrator" level users on an Win XP sp2 machine. I upgraded to Flash 8.0.24.0 under user one and it works fine. When I log on to the user two and access a site with a flash movie it displays the icon telling me I must update to the new version. When I run the Adobe flash test described in the tech notes it shows a display indicating the proper Version but does not show the expected "movie".
I tried installing it under the other user it failed.
Flash always worked on both users before this version.
Please help me.

Flash Installed But Won't Display.
There is no general support forum, so I will post here. I just bought a HP laptop with the AMD Turion X2 Ultra processor and also just bought Adobe CS3 Web Premium Suite. I installed the entire suite (which took forever) and it installed ok but then when trying to run Photoshop, it first asked for the key and then Photoshop opened it hung. I tried opening Flash and it actually displayed nothing but was running in the background. So, I formatted my new computer and installed only Flash, rebooted, and then tried to start it. I got the serial number screen, did that, and then nothing... but FLash was running in the background. I have seen this exact same problem posted in these forums elsewhere with no resolution. Is this a problem with AMD Turion, Vista, or Adobe? Could it be related to the Adobe flex registration? I did install Flash successfully on an HP laptop with less capability with an Intel Centrino processor. I have tried all the fixes mentioned with no results, with the exception of getting another computer with an Intel processor.

What's The Best Extension/component You've Installed?

What's the best (or most usefull) component, or other form of extension, you have installed into your copy of Flash? Any add-on you used Extension Manger to install to enhance your flash.
Personally, mine has to be the "Custom Easing Tool." Which lets you easily add some great easing effects to your motion tweens. I use it all the time now. Don't know how I ever lived without it!!

HOW DO I DISPLAY AN IMAGE IF FLASH IS NOT INSTALLED

I have to create an ad to go on a major site and their requirments state:
* There should be a 'sniffer' program included in the flash file to check for the correct plug-in.
* If the user does not have the flash pug-in installed, a back up image should be provided and served in its place (all should be included whithin the flash file submitted)
