Full Screen Page Tutorial
im having a weird problem after following this tutorial:
http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/fullscreen.htm
i published the swf and html according to the directions and it looked and worked fine when i tested it within flash and via the html page. i then transferred the files to a second computer and uploaded them to the server. now when i view the pages via IE im getting a margin at the bottom that causes the scroll bar to appear (seen here: http://www.skateboardspinnerrims.com).
any ideas what's causing this?
thanks.

Full Screen Flash. No Toolbars, Controllers, Just The Flash Page On Full Screen - How
Ive seen this on DVD Roms, Multimedia Roms, Presentation Cds, etc.
People insert their DVD or CDs of their Flash and it plays automatically and at Full screen. There's no Controllers or anything except the one you make in the Flash itself.
There's no browser either. Its like watching a DVD where all you see is just the movie.
Anyone know exactly what this method is called and any tutorials or samples on how to do this with your Flash page.
Thanks

Page 2 - Loading A Movieclip That Always Stays Center Into My Flash Full Screen Page?
Tann, regarding the proportion resize, do you know if there is a way to make it so that when you drag the browser window, you are restricted to dragging it at its flash proportion. Just like if you are in photoshop, and if you decide to transform an image and I think press control or alt while you drag the corners, it will resize it proportionally.
Right now, if you drag the browser window, you can drag it any shape, and if the browser window height exceeds the flash height, it will allow you to do it, but the empty space is filled with the background colour of the html page.
Would like it, so that the window is not draggable anymore if its proport width or height has exceeded.
I hope that makes sense.

Searching For The Ultimate Full Screen Flash Tutorial
Hi all..
seems to be a few threads floating around about full screen flash sites. The tutorial on Kirupa is good, but I think as I saw in another thread only really "scratches the surface" of what needs to be done in order to create a well designed, working full screen flash site. So are there any in depth tutorials out there? Ones that go through all the ways to apply onResize and so forth? I found this thread on flashdevils.com;
http://flash-forum.flashdevils.com/s...hlight=padding
but of course this guy already has a good understanding of what's invovled...I want to know if there are any tutorials that deal with the process in this kind of detail...if anybody knows that'd be great!

Launching A Full Screen Flash Page
Hi guys,
i am new here and very new to Flash scripting and not much of a coder at all...
i am trying to do a piece in flash and have figured out how to make it fun full screen...
now here's the problem, with Stage.scaleMode = "noScale"; on the first frame it doesn't really scale the swf...
what i really want to do is take Stage.scaleMode = "noScale"; out but then be able to see the swf play with out distortion... is that possible?
how do you go about retrieving the width and the height inside of the browser window and go about applying it in actionscript so the height is always 100% and the width is always scales proportionally so the swf doesn't get distorted?
i am totally at a loss of thought right now..
so as a newbie, any help would be greatly appreciated...
and many thanks in advance...

Full Screen Flash Page ....with Scrollbar
I've created a full screen flash page by setting the html dimensions to "percent,"
and changing the scale mode to "no scale." However, the html page that flash generates using these settings disables the use of a page scrollbar.
Users with a screen resolution lower than 1680 x 1050 can only see a portion of the web page.
How can I generate a page scrollbar so that users of any resolution are able to view the entire page? Is this done in flash or html? As an example, you can refer to http://www.bioshockgame.com (load the flash site)

Full Screen Flash Page Problem
Hi Kirupians...
I've been searching for a tutorial to make a full screen flash page, and found the one published by michael chen on December 27th 2004. That's ok, haven't checked if it works (no doubt it does). But the thing is that I think this technique should be used carefully... have u tried right-click on the site of the week? http://www.titlemastersusa.com/ or http://www.terotero.com/
If u try, you should see the menu and if u chose to zoom in (or whatever option u get according to your system an languaje) and then try "to zoom out" or "show all" it will stay "zoomed".
Donīt know if it just happens to me(IE 6, Win XP Espaņol, Service Pack 2), but it could be worth to check if this is a common problem to point it out and consider to "hide" this zoom-in/out options in the swf from the html:
HTML Code:
<param name=menu value=false>
&
HTML Code:
<embed menu=false...>

Full Screen Flash Page Question:)
Hi how are you?
I was reading this tutorial about full screen flash pages:
http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/fullscreen.htm
And I got it all to work. Yay
Then I saw the kirupa SOTW, and just loved it. On that site you've got that nice bottom bar, so I thought I'd try to create that.
I thought it would work if I just placed some "bar graphics" on the bottom of my stage, and just do as the tutorial said. But that didn't do.
Here is the website im talking about:
http://www.funkycode.de/
And here is what I came up with:
http://www.medieklassen.com/~oyvind/flash/
There is this white space between my flash file and the bottom/top of the browser.
How can I fix that? Im sure it's quite easy, but it would be great if anyone could tell me how
peace

Full Screen Flash Tutorial Not Compatible With Firefox Browser?
Hey all you smart scripters,
OK this weekend I took a shot at making a full page flash page like the one found in the kirupa tutorial, it works... however the alignment when viewed in Firefox is awful. The html works within Internet Explorer, Safari, but not Firefox, which is a bummer since most PC users I know use firefox for web browsing. Download the tutorial and preview for yourself in Firefox. So what I am trying to get at is... there a way to create a simple html document that will work universally with ALL web browsers? Thanks
http://kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/swf/myfile.html
preview the link above in firefox to know what I am talking about. I thought Firefox 2 would have fixed this but the same problem arises.
Any suggestions or referred links?

Full Screen Flash Page With Repeating Edge Pixels?
Hello,
I found this forum in search of a tutorial about full screen. I haven't yet found any that would instruct on how to make the edge pixels of the actual file to repeat and fill out the space between the edge of the file and the edge of the screen. For example if I had a Flash file (width 1200 px) with full-width horizontal stripes in it, how could I make the stripes fill out the width of a screen larger than that in full screen mode?
I am new to Flash (though somewhat familiar with scripting), so if you know an answer, please try to be comprehensive!

How Do I Create An Overlay Flash Splash Screen (full Page)?
Hi all!
I have created a small splash screen (see here) which I originally setup a redirect to the main site page. However, I then had to think about doing redirects when flash was not available (or even javascript). What worried me is that search engines often ignore redirects.
So i thought, could I just set the movie up so that it full-page overlayered over the main page (green fills the page) and then disappears shortly after finishing it's animation. This would save destroying my SEO.
Anyone able to tell me how to do this?
My FLA code is:
Code:
import com.mosesSupposes.fuse.*;
ZigoEngine.register(Fuse, PennerEasing, FuseFMP);
FuseFMP.writeFilter(rh, "Blur", {blurX:100, blurY:100, quality:5});
var f:Fuse = new Fuse();
f.push({target:rh, Blur_blurX:0, Blur_blurY:0, seconds:3, ease:"easeInOutQuad"});
f.push({target:grad, x:518, seconds:5, func:redirect});
f.start();
function redirect(){
var timeOut:Number = setTimeout(function(){getURL("http://www.theurl.co.uk/index.htm")}, 1000);
}
(I disabled the redirect for the linked example above)
Thanks in advance.

function fillBG() {

this.moveTo(0,0);

There Is No Solution For Opening A HTML Page In Full Screen
I've browsed through hundreds of postings looking for a javascript code that will open up a HTML in Full Screen (F11) mode, but haven't found one yet.
Many of the solutions had to do with fscommand and open.window
Neither of these solutions is what I need.
Ok...here is what I'm really trying to do...
Picture this...you have an html link on your desktop (e.g. flashkit.com) and when you double click that file it will automatically open up the browser in Full Screen Mode (No toolbars, menubars, etc.). Many of the posting required you to already have a page open and then you can click a "button" to open a new window (popup). This isn't what I need.
Please, please, can anyone out there help me???????? You might ask why I need to open full screen. Well, it is because we are designing an e-learning course within an LMS (SCORM wrapped player) and the course needs to be in full screen so the user can't exit out. If they click the explorer exit button, then it won't bookmark or track users performance.
Who's up for this challenge????

It's the first page that the user comes into, then clicks on the "enter" button to launch the html that has the .swf in it....
I want it to be full screen so the small popup window that has my .swf file will be over a solid color that covers the entire screen.

Full Screen Flash Projector Reverts To Windowed When Exiting Screen Saver
I've created a flash projector that displays a companies product catalog on a 50" touch screen plasma display.
It looks great and plays great if I launch the projector and force it to full screen.
However, since this is a plasma, screen burn in is a major issue to contend with.
I've set the Windows screensaver to activate after one minute of inactivity.
The problem is that when the screensaver is exited by a touch, the flash projector that was running in full screen mode is now back in windowed mode so CTRL-F has to be hit to force it to full screen again.
This isn't good.
So, I guess my question is two-fold:
Is it possible to programatically force the projector to full screen mode so that no user intervention is required? (fscommand works on the first launch, but when the screensaver kicks in, all bets are off.)
And/Or
How would I go about creating a timer to activate an internal screensaver and insert it into the actionscript for the XML gallery?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Rick

Full Screen Flash - Screen Center Problem
Hi, I'm trying to use full screen flash, and place my movieclips with actionscript.
It's screwing up the screen center for some reason though, and I can't seem to figure out why...
Here's the screwed up site:
http://www.combinecreative.com/test/mover.html
Here's the code that's on a movable MC:
onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
_x += (_root.logox - _x)/3;
_y += (_root.logoy - _y)/3;
Here's the code I'm using on the main timeline to move the MC's:
_root.logox = Stage.width / 2;
_root.logoy = Stage.height / 2 - 200;
It seems pretty straight foward, but for some reason it's offsetting my screen center...
Any ideas would be great!
