I'm looking for any ideas or examples of how to create new, interesting and cool subtle image transitions. There will be some images about 150 x 75px that transition from one to another.

How do you think that this image transitions are done? Where the image kinda fades out into another color image. I think that it might be two image's done in Photoshop, and alphing into each other? You can see what I am talking about if you just start going to each section.

Hi people,
What i'm trying to achieve is a flash identical to the one displayed on this url, http://www.fnac.com .

On the main stage it'll be exactly the same except they would be a sort of 'sliding door' i.e. a vertical line to the left of the middle image. Each minute the 'handle' would shift to the right, with the 'roulette' effect taking place at the same time.

I hope you all understand what i am trying to indicate. If anybody could help me i would be grateful.

I wish to construct an image transition slide show based solely on actionscript. I want the images to be dynamically loaded and the mask to be applied only when next image finished loading.

Could somebody walk me through the significant steps?

How To Load External Image With Transition Effect?
Hi,

How can I do some transition effect while loading the external image.

The following code is not working. The "picture.png" only waits 3 seconds and appear without any transition effect.

Image Transition Effect - Shed Some Light...
I've built a movie for a slideshow that has a fade in/out effect. The pictures are loaded using XML. It works great, but I just don't think it has got the pizaz I'm looking for.

Right on the front page, an image of their feature project has that cool transition effect. I'm not looking for the code to copy this effect, just some guidance on how to get 'er done. I've searched around for the last couple of days, found some things close to what I seek, but my coding expertise isn't good enough to manipulate it to what I need.

Image Transition Masking - Recreate Existing Effect
I'm trying to get some masking practice in, so I decided to find an effect that I like and try to recreate it. Here is the welcome.swf file, which is the effect I'm trying to duplicate. (Skip the intro and you'll see the image transition on the 'welcome' screen.)

Attached is my fla so far. It's kinda close, but theirs is just so much nicer! And I'm sure I'm taking too many unnecessary steps!! There's gotta be a quicker/easier way to do this...

I also don't really know where to go from here. What's the best way to add my 2nd and 3rd picture? Just have them tacked on to the end of the timeline back to back? Or have them in separate mc's and play them with AS? And how would I mask them over my first picture?

Adding Transition Effect To Image Dynamically Imported
Okay.
I've made a simple picture slideshow. With 10 frames and on each frame a movieclip. On every frame, I use the 'loadMovie' method to import a file..
A set of buttons are used to surf through the frames..

Okay, I wanted to know, is there any other possible way to add a fade-in fade-out transition while changing the pic from frame 1 to frame 2.. ?

The way i know of doing it will be like this;
Making a movieclip, MC1, and in there, another movieclip, imagehandler MC, where that image is brought using 'loadMovie' method. And fading in imagehandler MC from frame 0 to frame 10 using motion tweening like we normally do..
And putting that MC1 (with MC2 fade in effect inside)to each of the 10 frames in the main slideshow timeline (making different MC1 like MCs for each image)..
But this way its much more work and more cramping in the library..

Is there any other suitable way of doing so ?

Im trying to find out how the fade in GLOW effect is done that is at http://www.pixelranger.com. The logo fades in with a glow that gets brighter then the glow subsides and the pic fades. The only way ive seen to create that glow is to Soften the edges in flash but i cannot animate it. Please help or maybe (shudder) i just have to goto photoshop and make each and every frame???

Glow Effect With JPG's
Hello everyone,
I have a quick question regarding a commonly seen effect. Essentially, you have an image that starts off with a big glow..almost like color dodge in Photoshop. And then it fades in with the normal looking image.

almost like....there is a sun on the image and then it fades out. Not sure if I did the best job of articulating the image effect. Please let me know if you guys have any thoughts. Thank you

I have a quick questions. I want to create the following entirely in flash, and was wondering if there was an easy way to do so. I need it to be dynamic for different box sizes... the effect that I am having a dificult time doing is the "glow" around the box.

This site has a button glow effect when you place the mouse on any button. The outline of the button glows. How to make that effect? I have an image in flash made it a button and on its "over" I have the same image which is slightly bigger than the image on the "up". Can I make this "over" image glow which will appear as an outline for the image in the "up" and which will also take the shape of the "up" image? Thanks for any help.

[CS3] Scrollbar With Glow Effect
I'm trying to create a scrollbar with the effect seen on the following site:

I can create a working scrollbar with a glow on the actually bar, but when I try to make the entire scrollbar (track and bar together) glow, one usually interferes with the other.

Any ideas on how to emulate the bar on that site? It looks as though only the track is actually doing the glowing and it goes away when I press the bar. Thanks in advance.

I've been trying to found out how to make a animated glow efftect, similar to the one on Simply Interactive (The effect in the top left corner..)

I doubt the actual effect is done in flash, probably in photoshop or MAX, but if any of you guys have any clues or hints (or knows about any tutorials), I would love to hear them!

How To Achieve This Glow Effect On Text

I have tried to tackle this on for several hours now, but can't seem to get it right..

I am trying to replicate the rollOver effect from the menu (and other links) at www.plazadesigners.com

I was hoping to achieve it with AS through the Glow filter, but my settings must be wrong..

Create A Radiating Glow Effect?
I am trying to create a radiant glow effect below is one I created:

Notice the light radiant glow coming from the selected ring.
I created this in flash using gradiants/filters

However this caused my entire application to run so slow that it stopped functioning properly.

So I am wondering if anyone knows how to create an effect like this in a way that wont drastically drop the overall performance of the application?

Looks simple, but I think a little more complex than it may seem.
If you look at the different shapes of glasses and how the glows contour them, this doesn't seem to be just a simple gradient.

Are there are any experts out there who can show me a simple example of how to do this "glow animation" other than just theory?

It would be so greatly appreciated.
