Not Working EventListener In Flash 8 Professionnal

I used Flash 7 Pro and did this:

my problem is that the UIObject Extended events don't work anymore in my flash 8 (ex: load, move, hide and so on). Please someone can resolve this or found another way to handle those events? I really need to handle the load event for windows and forms!

How Do You Make A Good/decent Flash Site?
I'm sort of new to flash. I was wondering if aybody knows a tutorial out there to show me how to create a good web page. i want to make one with animated buttons, and when you click on the button an animation occurs which brings you to the page. Also I don't know how to make a flash movie inside of a movie..therefore all my animations are on one single timeline. Someone please help!

Good Dimensions? Full Flash Site
I'm trying to make a full flash site that will fit nicely in the browser without having browser scroll bars. I'd like it to work on all screen resolutions with the same aspect ratio. I'm sure it needs to be like 400 x 700 or so, but how do I get it to fit exact width and scale the height to match?

Prices For 3 Flash Applications
I have developed 3 flash applications for a website. They are not completely finished yet but a large part of them is done. I have presented the applications to the buyers and they liked them and they want to buy them. The problem is that these are the first flash applications that I am selling and don't have that much experience concerning the prices. I have uploaded an archive with screens from all 3 applications in order to ask your oppinion on the prices I should ask for them. There are a total of 18 screens (because of the number of the pictures and of the size of the archive I couldn't upload neither the pictures nor the archive here on the forum). I would like prices for each application and a total price for all 3 of them if this would be different from the sum of the prices of the each. Pls help !
All 3 are for a sports newspaper website.
The first is a application that shows advanced data about an important football (soccer) match: live comentary, information about weather, attendance, stadium capacity, stats, tactics, images, videos and others.
The second is an application that shows live football results. Here you have the option of selecting your favourites and move them on top in a myMatches section.
The third is an application for viewing soccer charts from countries all over the world.
On another note I would like to ask about the functionality of them. Should I make the data load from XML or a database ? My option now is for XML because I am not loading that much content that would require a database.

Good Morning, AS3 Help Needed For Building My Own Site In Flash
Good morning to all,
I am creating a site in Flash, I am using AS3 to create a site that stops/starts the movie on my home page and I have a series of buttons that play a head (or are supposed to) to the a frame for each additional page. Do I need A.S. for each button as well? I didn't think I did. The script below is the first one in the layer titled actions, this I thought is supposed to stop/start the movie at the beginning and the button abt_mgn_btn is supposed to bring it to frame 10 to play my about page. ?? at my frame number 10 should I put the stop(); script there as well? And at every frame break for the next pages? I am hopelessly in need of guidance. Thank you to anyone helping me out.

i have just about finished my website using flash and photoshop. I have tried to make my pages as small as possible for quicker loading time. My average page is about 50Kb and there 5 pages. So all up the site is about 250-300Kb.
Is this a good size for a flash site?

Is There A Good Way To Achieve The Following On My Site?
Hey everyone
I want to put a music player that I've made onto my website, the website is going to be pretty simple and just have some links that will change the information shown, have some images and maybe videos.
But whenever someone clicks a link the flash player will be reloaded, is there way of making it so the flash player stays playing when a link is selected? I tried using iframes but they dont work as I would like then too.

Good Resource Site For Buttons Etc?
I am looking for something that is simple but looks nice, like the guy has at http://www.turtleshell.com/2000/home.html I am wanting a pop up menu but need something with a bit of movement to let the user know that it is interactive. Not much in the way of buttons in the flashkit gallery unfortunately...

Need Good Site Anim Tutorial
I am looking for a good tutorial showing how to create a animation sequence where a whole page loads. (I know how to make the individual tweens, fades, etc.)
You see a lot of sites now where the text, header, graphics, etc. - all the page elements - 'fly' in from various directions
and then clicking a nav button causes the next page to load in a similar way

CS4 Web Premium Prices
I have moved this from the newgrounds forums since no one knew what I was talking about. Sorry if this is in the wrong fourm, there was no general/ Web premium forum, just individual product forums.
I want CS4 Web Premium for christmas, and I am allowed £200 (I will pay the rest myself) I currently have studio 8 educational version. (the one with flash, drewmweaver, fireworks, and contribute) So I wanted an upgrade. I looked at the upgrade options and noticed that since I have studio 8 I can upgrade to web premium CS4 for $599, but I don't know if I could do this since its the educational version and I want the full version. Also, I noticed (I live in the UK by the way) That from the US store its $599 which is £372 (it was £350 last time I checked, but never mind that) and from the UK store it is about £540, so I was wondering why this is and if I could order it from the US and get it shipped over. So basically, I want to know what the cheapest way of getting an upgrade from Macromedia Studio 8 Education Version to Adobe CS4 Web Premium, and weather I could get it from the us for cheaper and have it shipped or not. This whole lot has got me really confused.

US $99 = £52 (erain is similar)
Europe 89 Euro = £ 62
UK = £99
Does anyone know where I can get a copy for a similar price to the US. Trying to buy and ship from the US will be tricky.

Sorting Prices In XML

I am trying to sort XML data based on an attribute "price" (or p). I'm trying to sort the prices numerically so that, for example, 1230.00 does not show up before 19.00.
I have defined a preliminary price sort function as follows:
PRICE_SORT = function(a,b){
return parseFloat(a.attributes.p) > parseFloat(b.attributes.p);
}
then I sort as follows:
my_array.sort(PRICE_SORT);
How do I edit this function so that the prices will display in numerical order rather than string value order?
