How Am I Able To Create A Similar Effect
Hi all,
im not completely a newbie, bit I ve got a question, that makes me think so. I guess you have all seen the effect on www.2advanced.com. I mean the effect that "preloads" or at least appears between every new sequence. I mean the little box which seems to walk upsairs at the sides. Im very sorry for my english but cant better describe it. Ive tried just to create some boxes at the same positions and then just rotate them, but wont work very well : Has anyone a better idea?

After analysing the Flash, it come up into different Flash techniques .
1. dynamic load up patterns (i.e allow web master to ftp upload additional patterns and the flash will read automatically and show up in the flash)
2. clicking one pattern will show up other available color of pattern.
3. clicking a pattern will change the wallpaper of the scene.

Effect Similar To The Mac OS
Hi all, does anyone know how to achieve the effect you get on a mac, for example the bottom menu screen, I think this kind of effect will work well with a project I have on-going, basically I have a footer of logos on a bar designed, and what I would like is to use this effect there.
When the user hovers over the bar the logos get bigger depending where you are on the bar, hope this makes sense, it looks like a cool effect if anyone has had a mac before.

Effect Similar To Interstitial Ads?
I'd like to know how to present a Flash movie for a predermined time on a web page, then make it disappear completely, similar to how interstitial ads are made.
Here's what I need to do: There's a web template at http://www.templatemonster.com/websi...ates/8884.html that has both a Flash template and a normal web template. I need to somehow integrate the Flash of the baseball pitcher into the html template so that each time the page loads, the movie plays (the pitcher wind-up) and then the regular HTML page displays.

Similar To Magnifying Glass Effect.
I'm looking to do this effect for a portfolio page. It would have two sections, one that has an overview of a page, and the other would display a zoom detail of the page. Effect Similar To OSX Navigation And Zune Marketplace
Hi all,
I am trying to achieve something between the Mac OSX menu and the main page of the Marketplace in the Zune software which can sort of be seen here.
Basically, a row of thumbnails are shown and when the cursor rolls over one of them, it grows in size aligned to the top while all the others shrink slightly to make way for the active ones extra width. I have managed to do the growing active thumbnail using the code below, but what I am unable to figure out is how to make all the movie clips (thumbnails) - except the active one - shrink in size when one has the mouse over it and stay edge to edge instead of one growing and just being shown at a higher level.
Any advice appreciated.

Help -> How Do I Create This Effect...
I'm trying to create a heartbeat/pulse effect for a flash movie.
You know... where you've got your (red) line going straight and then it does it's little thing (up, down, blah blah blah)and then goes straight again ... You all know what I'm talking about ...
Anyways .. when you're making line animations like that ... other than having the graphic of a line and sliding the entire thing across the screen ( and covering up the areas where you don't want it to be seen ) ... Is there another way to do this?
Not only for this particular thing.. but is there a way to create an animation like that easily? Before, when I've needed things like this, I've gone and went frame by frame making a line longer / turning it when I needed to... very long, boring process, and if I screw up without realizing it immediately, it's back to the start!
Anyways, if you understand what I'm trying to do... HELP PLEASE!??

Looking To Know How To Create An Effect...
I want to be able to make an image appear but make it look as if its not quite tuned in properly. I think you all know what i mean where the image is blured and moves very slightly from side to side and flickers. Does anyone know the methods to create this effect? How Would You Create This Effect?
Howdy,
I have this idea for an animation, however I am unsure how to go about it. Here are some images and descriptions of what I am trying to accomplish:
1. small bitmap squares fly in from right to left
2. next these small bitmap squares form a solid "wall" on the left hand side.
3. the small bitmap squares come together to form a picture. The squares are actually just small square sections of the image. Their are some small squares that are not part of the actually image, they are part of the wall, and therefore are vector art.
4. When the image is no longer needed, the small squares go back off to the right side
I am not sure if there is a way to do this in actionscript, to cut a bitmap into squares and have the squares move at slightly different speeds to then come together to form an image.
I could do this manually, but it would take forever... especially if I tried to do multiple images.
So if anyone could tell me how to or give me any pointers on how to accomplish this animation please do so.

Hi all, newbie here.
just got started using this flash marlaky (suppose had to get around to it sooner or later). Been at it for, hmm....2 days.....and already STUCK. Got a bit of an understanding using frames, motion tween, etc. Currently I am following one of the Tutorials on this site ''Fantastic text effect without writing any ActionScript'' (http://www.flashkit.com/tutorials/Te...1029/index.php got to Stage 2, and the instructions are
- Step 2--Choose text effect
- Right click the Flash Kit text, choose "Create Effect..."
Is it just me or am I doing something wrong here, because i right click the text on the stage - get the menu up, but nowhere in the menu is Create Effect. Is this because a) I am stupid and doing the obvisous wrong thing b) missing something c) using the wrong application. ( I have Macromedia flash MX)
I have some idea on web development, after completing 2yr HND web management course. Started pretty late - spent the last year finding my way around PhotoShop7, Dreamweaver, ASP and web application dev (with precursor HTML - Javascript and Java Applet re-use only)
Sorry for the long introduction, but if anyone has completed this tutorial or know where I am going wrong with the -'Right Click text, and select Create Effect', would be grateful of the info.

A page with thumbnail images on it, when you click on the thumbnail in transforms into the full size image (you see the enlargement taking effect). If you click on the full sized image it reverses (again you see the effect taking place)

Help Create An Effect
Hi,
The effect I want to create is as follows; Imagine a paper concertina and on each side there is some copy. This will only be slightly visible due to the partially closed concertina. Now when the user moves their mouse over a side the concertina opens up to reveal the complete side and text. Is this possible? if so can anyone help with this request.

How Can I Create This Effect?
How could I create this effect seen on this website http://www.ua-corp.com/nosound.html. I want to create the effect where the border grows out to the sides. Also how could I create the effect where the the text on the dotted lines wipes in with the transparent box over it.
For the border I have tried to use a shape tween inside a movie clip, however that would work for one side, but on the other side it would make these weird line things that should not have been there.
Any help on why this might be happening, as well as any advice on other ways to make the same effect.

Can anyone point me to either a tutorial or a packaged component that would help me to create the kind of navigation menu Adobe has on their photoshop site. You have to click on the blue Flash movie first, but then the navigation spins into place... its very slick. I'd like to duplicate this effect.
