Help Me Create "e-mail Me" Button
Hi.
I need a help for creating "e-mail me" or "contact" button.
I often see sites with e-mail address you can click and "write mail" window pops up with address already written.
I am making marketing CD-rom, and I want to create button that brings you to "write mail" window on the internet browser. Need to work on Explorer and Netscape, both Mac and Windows.

Hi, I would like to create an email to send to clients which contains a swf file with the company logo etc. How do i go about doing this? I know how to create the swf but how do i insert that into my email?

How To Create E-mail With Flash Movie Played On Arrival Automatically (movie Should B
Hi,
I am looking for simple but working solution to send Flash movie as a part of e-mail. I would like to send Flash movie with e-mail (part of e-mail itself or as attachment) and it should start playing as soon as message is downloaded. I was using HTML page as stationary (script was downloaded from the net, with embedded movie as object). It worked perfectly fine as long as I was sending email to myself and it played within Outlook or Netscape. But on other computers with appropriate player was installed nothing happened despite enclosing Flash movie to e-mail.
I believe that it should be simple solutions. Can anybody direct me to place where I find right script or advise how to point flash player to sent movie and make it play.

I can't seem to find the tutorial on how to make a button that when it is clicked, it opens a a new e-mail message with the subject and e-amil address that it is going to already in it. I do not want a submition form.

I'm designing an interactive Flash movie, which I intend to distribute on a CD.

I'd like my users to click on an "e-mail icon" to be directed automatically to the e-mail application installed in the computer in which they are watching my movie, so that they can send me an e-mail right away.

I've seen this feature in some websites; I click on an e-mail icon, my Outlook Express starts up and opens a "New Message" window, with the "To" field already completed with the specific address.

I suppose that I'd have to program a button or something like that, but I don't know how.
Can anyone help me whit this matter?

the question is... HOW do you link a button to an e-mail address...
so that it opens outlook express when you click on it...
(preferably with preset subject)

I was hoping someone could help me out on this issue.
In Flash 5, I was able to create a simple e-mail button by assigning "mailto:blah@blah.com" in the get URL field. I cannot do this in Flash MX. Is this a MX problem or a IE6 problem? Either way how can I fix this without resorting to a CGI mailer? I appreciate any help on this.

Call me stupid but how do I do this "auto e-mail button" in Flash?
This HTML code automatically sends an e-mail to the specified address from the clients default mail application.

Whenever I try to do it in Flash it brings up a complete new e-mail for the user to fill in and send manually.
My marketing manager wants "one click" only.

Ok..I made a button (text converted to a button) I added the action on release,.....then the get URL action....This is going to be an -e-mail link button...so I typed mailto:blah@blahblah.com in the YRL field..
When I click on the button...it opens a up a new mail window,.....but it also opens up a browser window too! Why is this??..and how do I get it to stop!!! Thans -whispers-

I´ve been using getURL ("mailto:whatever@hotmail.com");
but this only works within HTML.
Is there one special action to do it within a projector?

I am looking for an easy way to send an e mail, but I don't think the standard mailto will work.
I would like to make a button at the end of my flash movie send the flash movie to an email address. In other words, I would like the functionality of the mail to action, but I want to tell it what to send. (the movie they are watching) They can fill out where they want the e mail to go once their email program is opened (like mailto)
can I make it attach the swf file? Can I make an html file become the content of the email?
Please help, I am an animator with only slightly better than basic code writting skills.

How can you set an e-mails header when using a button & not a text link to submit the data.
I have the following code on a text link that works fine

But when I use this code on a button only the address is filled in

Hello. I was able to successfully put a e-mail form on my site. THANKS LEE!!!! Here is the problem I am encountering... When the message sends, the rest of my advanced buttons do not seem to work. I was wondering how I can set-up a reset button that will "refresh the page". That way, if the message fails or if the person makes a mistake, they can refresh the page. Can someone provide me with the correct code? My coding skills are horrid!

Using The GetURL Command As Mail From A Button
Hi I am relatively new to Flash MX. In the title bar of my
website I placed a "contact us" button. I want the contact us button to function in a way that when someone clicks it, it takes him to an e-mail client such as Outlook Express. I have read somewhere that this can be done using the getURL command from Actions panel by entering for example mailto:mail@campusfm.com in the URL box. I tried this with different e-mails and it did not work. Strangely when I tried to put a website address like http://www.cnn.com it worked.

Any help or suggestions of how can I solve this?
