How Do They Do That?

I have noticed of late a little flash menu that hovers to the side of some sites. It then expands and plays a "movie" within a flash shell. Its small and cute and then pops back to the side of the page. The movie has had either a avi or mpeg beginning but has been converted to run within flash.

In reality its only html pushing the flash movie out. Has anybody else seen this type of application?
