How Do You Insert Fonts In Flash?
Hi, I've downloaded ther fonts from this site and stored them in my C:WindowsFonts directory. Still, Flash 5 does not display them as a selection. Am I suppose to import them or store them in the macromedia directory. If so in the Macromedia directory, under which folder. Thanks. I hope you can help.

Flash Fonts And Server Side Fonts
Hi,
I'm creating an application where users upload their images with flash and edit them. We are placing text over the images, and we allow the users to choose the fonts in which they write them.
The co-ordinates are saved to the application database and the server side code dynamically writes the text on top of the images.
I know in order for the server side application to write in the selected font it must be installed in the server. I am wondering what my limitations on fonts that appear in flash are ?
How can I increase the number of fonts that will function on both the flash application and the server side application? The application is being developed in as 2.0, but could be moved to 3.0 if this helps.

I've got a flash application that I'm gonna offer to customers, but I want to insert a unique ID key into the .exe with each download of the application. This is partly for security and partly to identify each customer indiviually.
I have no idea how to go about this however! Before the user can download the file I need to somehow write the key into the exe, and then put some code in the flash program to read this key. Any ideas on how to go about this?
I don't know anything about hex editing or file manipulation so I'm a bit stumped! I know Java pretty well, which might come in handy for actually inserting the key.

How To Insert Flash Using CSS.
Hello
From what I can tell by browsing the web is you can't use CSS to insert your Flash into your webpage.
Is this true?
I like how the menu's I've created with CSS display the same on all my webpages. I would like to get the same effect with a Flash Menu somehow using CSS so it displays the same on all my different webpages.
Is this possible?

How Do I Insert My Own Flash Button?
ok heres a tough one, well for me, i made a button in flash, i better explain it all for you to understand better.
ok the button is an image, which when u rollover changes to a different image, the same picture but different colour. i want it to have a link however, do i do the link in flash or in dreamweaver where i am making the site?, in dreamweaver when i can only insert it as flash media and not a flash button.
and i cant figure out how to make it a link within dreamweaver. now the hard part, i want it so that when you click the button it opens the page within the iframe on the main screen called main, i know that the html is

but when i put this code around the flash object text in the code it doesnt work and the text in the code goes red.

I've got a pretty nice intranet set up for our company. However, it's somewhat boring. I know a little about Flash and ActionScript, and would like to incorporate some Flash into Frontpage(what I used to make the intranet). Insert A Movie Into Flash
I want to put a video in flash but I dont want to actually import the video into the file, just a link to open the video in quicktime or preferably window's media player.
If it at all possible I would like to make it so when you click a button/link in the flash document, the video appears over the flash document.

hey, i;m new here, ive been using flash for awhile, but only in games dev, n never for the web....
i was wondering if its possible to insert a php/html frame into the flash file itself, coz i wanna have other layers over it, so a floating frame in dreamweaver aint gonna work... (n i;ve heard floating frames have lots of problems for ppl w/ diff screen resolutions)
if not, i understand it is possible for flash to get the code in a html file, (or just ther variables in php if need be), but can flash interpert the code to display as it would on a .html file....
also, i have media from a remote server, and i wanna keep my swf small, how would i insert pictures/videos/music from another server (n not frm the library)?

How Do I Insert A Flash File In Dreamweaver MX?
I use Dreamweaver MX for my sebsite. I just started playing around with Flash MX. I have created a small flash movie and want to put it into my webpage.
I went to (trying to go by memory so please forgive me if the path is wrong) insert/item/ flash I found the flash file and clicked insert. I uploaded the file to my webpage but it doesn't show up.
What am I doing wrong??
Maybe it's the file extension that is wrong. What should the file extension be? .swf??
Any help for a newbie would be very much appriciated.

I am creating a Flash site and have designed an interface that has a screen where my Flash movies (slide shows) will play. The interface is saved as a SWF and the movie I want to insert in the screen area is saved as a .fla file. How do I insert the movie into my interface so the movie plays back in the screen area? Insert A Html Frame Into Flash? Can It Be Done?
hey, i'm in the middle of making my new website and i want to make it flash driven.
Basically does anyone know if you can place a frame into flash to link it to html? kinda like the <iframe> tag.
reason i need this is cos i have videos embedded into my pages at the moment and some more streamed from video servers, so i need to keep windows media player and the quicktime plugin in the site and would prefer not to use a popup command to open up a seperate window. It would also make it a lot easier to update my site if all i had to do every day was edit one html file instead of recompiling the latest flash file and uploading to my host.
So does actionscript cater for this?

Insert A Flash Movie (flv) Into A Frame
Hi all,
I am a newbie in Flash and I'm using Flash MX 2004. I need your help here for a quick project I'm working on. I need to include a flash movie into a frame so that the movie plays "into" the frame whenever the user clicks a link. Please have a look at this frame:
As you can see, there will be some overlay of the frame on the movie; I want the movie to appear behindthe frame (as if the frames contains the movie. The movie will play in the white space of the frame. Hope you get the idea!

Using A Flash Movie With A PHP Insert() Function
Does anyone know any tricks to this ?I have a very simple "include()" function which works with an image, but not with my Flash movie. It did work at one time, then I changed the URL destination on one of the buttons and now it will not work. I get NO errors when I preview the movie. I must have changed something else maybe in the Object coding? I'm at a loss and so frustrated it seems like it should be so simple. Any ideas?
