I can make site like this but, the problem is no mather how you change the size of explorer window, site is in the middle, and the background changes too. Is the site put into the dreamweaver table?

I guess that the swf is published as html, no dreamweaver... Please someone help me, how is then possible and how to do it, that the site is always in the middle and the background.

I am not sure if this can be done, but I'm sure someone at FK knows!

I have completed a site for a client, and now they want to know if the whole site can be made "bigger" b-cuz they feel it's only taking up 1/4 of the screen. (it's a pretty normal size, i think).
Can this be done w/o having to re-do all my tweens which now fall in their original positions if I make my background bigger?

I Am Trying To Figure Out How They Made A Site.
hello everyone :

i have been given the task of reproducing the way a site handles navegation..
take a look here

notice how the sections of the site, travel back and forth between them..
i am not sure if the transition itself is the product of the sections moving in and out of the 'camera' view..

i've been looking at 3d engines in flash, but i'm not sure if going that way would be overkill, maybe it's a simpler trick, and i'm just overcomplicating things

any help is greatly appreciated ..

Mac Users Not Able To See Flash MX Site Made On A PC.
I am trying to figure this out I have the flash detection kit setup before the actuall site so I thought I was covered but they still are unable to view the site. Is there some sort of code I have to embed into the html or the actual flash file so that they can see the site. When they try to log in all they see is a white screen with text that is like html code saying to redirect to the macromedia site ect... Just curious if anyone knows a good way of enabling mac users to see the site. Thanks for the help.

I've Made My Whole E-commerce Site In Flash Need Advice
Hey all

I'm pritty good with flash and i like its navigation so i've made my whole T-shirt site with Flash, including the window that pops up displaying a larger picture and will have the Paypal add to cart button on it. now my questions are is it advisible to keep the new larger popup window thats made in flash as i'm reading about security issues or should i make it in HTML which i'm not too confident with and will take me a long time?

secondly is it possible to add add to cart buttons to a flash site as i've seen lots of buy now buttons but no add to cart?

O.k i now know that you can indeed put a add to cart on your site and this is the code that i am using:

Help-Thumbnail To PhotoGallery WITHIN My Already Made Flash Site
Hi,
I pre-made all of the parts of my portfolio flash site, but now I want to add galleries for the different pages/sections of my sites.
I want something with small thumbnails on the (left) and to show the image somewhere next to it on the page. Something similar to this example: http://www.mr10.net/components/gallery/galleryDemo.html But within my one Frame. (>i also tried that guys tutorial, but he left some info out, and i couldnt get it to work)
My main problem is that most tutorials have a photo gallery/slideshow from scratch. I want to add this WITHIN my already made flashpage. i.e. I can't figure out how to add the gallery in just that one specific frame.
Like I have a "Paintings" page on Frame 5, and I want the gallery to be within that page in a certain spot. Is there a way to do this with components?

Does anyone have any good photo galleries which are better suited to showing personal or portfolio work? I don't just want the click-thur galleries. I'm desperately trying to figure this out in flash and refuse to have to go the html web page route. Please help! Any info is greatly appreciated! I have Flash8.

Hi. Flash has never been my strong suit I can do basic things but now i'm pressed for time and need some assistance.

I have a movie that calls a XML file and stores all the data into an array. The data then creates a duplicate button/text movie clip that shows the name of the the item. I have this down. I need help making it so when the item is clicked it goes to a description frame where the rest of the array's data is then displayed in the appropriate fields. I was thinking of trying to pass just a simple number that corresponds to the array values

for example: itemName[0], itemPicture[0], etc I would just pass 0 on release and
then have the frame gather the info from the arrays that matched record 0 or whatever was passed.

I guess the real trouble is I can't seem to figure out how to make each duplicate movie clip contain unique action script to pass the variable on click. Can any one please help?

Adding Pages To A Pre-made Flash Site Template
hi. I have decided to change my site. so I got a new template. it is all done in flash. all on one .fla file. it came with like five premade "pages" that change around on the site, so I customized all that stuff already. Now I want to create some extra pages and have the corresponding buttons added to the navigator.

I am having the most problems with adding the buttons. I thought it would be easiest to just copy the action script ffrom one of the pre-made buttons and then changing a few variables to fit the new page(s) that I have made. I can't figure it out though. I tried a few differrent things but it is not working for me.

here is the code that was already written for the "contact" button

Made Flash Site, Works Great In Program, But Screws Up In SWF
ok i use 3d flash animator. i created a sample flash site as a test, and it works perfectly in the program, but when i export it to SWF it gets all flashy and twitchy. all my "slides" flash in a row as opposed to waiting till i click a menu. is there a way to fix this? thank you so much

How Do I Make A Link In Flash Go To A Specific Frame In A Dreamweaver Made Site?
When I speak of frame I mean frame as in html frame and not a frame in the flash movie. You see I need the links on my website to go into the center frame of the html website, because now if you click a link in the menu frame of the html fite a whole new page opens in my browser. Now keep in mind that the menu I made is a flash menu and is in the menu frame of my html site. Please help me

Big MC Made Up Of Small MCs Not Reflecting Change Made To Small MC
Hi, I hope someone can help me. I have a large movie clip (screen size) that is made up of 30 small movie clips called 'element1'. I was hoping to load a small (screen size) external movie clip into this 'element1' movie clip and knock out the existing content. This it does, but because the large movie clip was made up of 30 movie clips I would have expected after the content of 'element1' was replaced with the external SWF file that the whole of the large movie clip (made up of the 30 small clips) would have changed to reflect the change in swapping over the targeted 'element1' movie clip. All that is happening is that only the targeted 'element1' is showing the swap. Do you have to refresh the screen or something?
Any help would be appreciated.

just a question, cause i dont think this is flash, it looks like an html page gets mailed to me. but how are those emails composed by espn.com, delta airlines, priceline.com and other companies, they have cool graphics and are only about 20k but you cant download the page as an html. are these pages made in dreamweaver? or something even more generic.

Have you ever made a OS simulation (in flash), I am looking for examples as I am making my own.

I posted Ginw OS last year and now making a brand new OS.
I want it to have a real filing system.(does'nt read your HD, but reads and creats a filing system in flash.)

Can This Be Made Into An Mc
I have been pestering the forum for a recipe to make scones, er um no i mean a lovely scrolling navigation movie clip.
Ta da! I have made one, only now im a bit stuck because i really wanted for it to be in its own mc.
As it is i could use it with "loadMovie" and load it into an empty movie clip.

I have two issues;
1: when i load this movie into an empty movie clip, it scrolls really really painfully sketchy and slow? I am aware that the frame rate in this mc is 50 but for the main timeline i loaded it into was only 12. should this be the cause?

2: I really wanted to add an extra feature to this by having it move on screen as you roll a mouse over it and off again as you take your mouse off it. *this i know the actionscript for but, i cant put that actionscript on this scroller while it is directly on the _root timeline. I need to make it an mc?

Am i right? or is there another way? Please help.

Which FLA Made Which SWF?
Weeks ago I made a SWF file, e.g. finalperfect.swf, that was just the way I wanted it, but now I want to make one tiny little improvement. But in the FLA folder, there are 30 files, with names like
1.fla,
1+++.fla,
111111-looking-good.fla,
2a.fla
99999999-OK.fla
99999999-OK+.fla
Now, which one generated finalperfect.swf? Viewing them by date modified doesn't help because, maybe, 999999-OK+ was just a new idea that failed (can't remember). I tried opening final.swf in a text editor but there's no trace in there of its "daddy's" name. In the FLAs, there's nothing that says "the last swf you exported from here was..."

Anybody know what to do now?

Can Flash Be Made To Do Too Much?
I am working on am interactive CD which involves animating the Factor cascade for haemophilia. It is quite animation intensive in that, seperate MCs have to follow motion guides, in a MC which is scrolled (vertically and horizontally) using actionscript.

The problem arises when the user interacts with the animation. They can pause, play, rewind or (to a controlled extent) scroll. Trouble is, when the animation is 'paused' (scroll control clip is stopped, MC containing animated Factors is stopped) then restarted, flash seems to ignore some conditional statements, such as 'if (_root.vars.whichMenu == 1)'... This results in the whole animation going completely haywire, scripts which run within a MC suddenly run - though they have NO SCOPE over the current area...they just don't exist yet/anymore.

How can the performance be improved? Why is it that flash can just ignore variable scope/conditional statements as, and when, it wishes?

HELP ME?!
