How To Bring Up A New Browser With Out All The Tool Bars
I am bring up a new browser with:
on (press) {
getURL"http://www.caprockoutfitters.com/pictures.html", "_blank");
}
But I don't want all the Tool bars on there. How do I get it to bring up just a window?
Any help would be app.

Removing Tool Bars
i am creating a flash site and i would like to have my splash page as a background and the flash movie to pop up when you click the "enter site" button. i have created the site, but when you push the enter site button, the flash movie pops up in a ie browser with the tool bars and i want it to pop up in the flash player. how do i accomplish this?

I am totally new at SWISH, I click on something and now all of my tool bars, Panels, everything is gone. - open up browser window
- link in window, opens up new flash movie in another window and bring it in foreground.
- flash movie has links, which if clicked is loading content in 1st window which stays in background
problem is, user will not be able to figure out, what happened or where the content is loaded in background window
requirement is...
- to bring browser window in foreground when link in flash movie is clicked, this is to let user know, window content is been changed

Opening In A New Browser With No Menu Bars
i am having a problem. i have an intro page and when the user clicks on the enter button i want a new browser to come up with none of the menubars. right now i have the code like this
on (release) {

and the second part isn't working. "window.open part. that is how you would do it in html and i don't know how to do it in flash.

Removing Scroll Bars In The Browser
I've managed to set up my html file to force the browser to full screen and center my .swf file. But I want to remove the standard scroll bar on the right...and maybe the tool bars at the top. I've seen this done with frames, but I was hoping I could avoid building a frame.

I'm working on a web made with flash mx 2004. When I set up the html file properties to percentage 100x100 and without scale the browser scroll bars dont show up... Any ideas on how can i fix it?

I have 2 flash movies. The background.swf is simply a background that has been set as 500pixels wide and 100% high. I am loading the main.swf flash movie ontop of the background.swf. Now.. here is my problem. When the browser is resized, I want the browser to recognize the dimensions of the main.swf instead of the background.swf because the browser only shows the scrollbars when the window is resized to a size smaller than 500pixels wide, ignoring the height since its set at 100%. I want the scroll bars to show up when the browser is sized smaller than the main.swf movie size which is 500px wide and 700px high.

100% Flash Websites - Non-static Browser Title Bars?
hi,
is there a way to change the browser title bar text for 100% flash websites (after clicking to a different page)? (may be good for search engine listings of particular pages). i notice that 100% flash websites (www.fantasy-interactive.com etc) seem to have never-changing title bars.
on the same tangent, is there a way to change the browser title bar text for frame webspites (such as ultrashock) ?
if you know of a solution to either problem above, please post.

I've seen a site that has no vertical or horizontal scroll bars in the browser window. How do I do that? My page has external swf's so there is no neccessity to scroll. The scroll bars bottom and side look out of place...

Browser Without Scrollbar, Certain Size, No Tool Bar Or Adress Bar?

I have made four animations which are 800 X 500.
Because two of them use a lot of screenshots which are jpegs I want the to load in a browser and that is exactly that size, the movies to stay non scalable.
I have managed to figure out how to get the animations to not be scalable but have not figured out how to make the browser un scalable and fit around the movie exactly.
I dont want any address bar or scroll bar or any of the tool bars only the title bar and thats it.

Also i need the thing to detect and make sure the user has latest flash player.

[MX] Animated Menu Wit EQ Bars/Visualization Bars
Hi, I'm new. I've been around the world of flash, but I never really used it heavy. Only for buttons and sideshows. I want to try and make a navigation menu, with visualization bars in the background moving up and down as usual. Then put some buttons with a rollover effect. I know it is possible because I had used layers to have something animated in the background. Is it possible to do that? Does it kill a lot of bandwidth?
Slider Bars, Or Scroll Bars?
I'm looking at a web site that used scroll bars to move around a picture (.jpg) file. It is rather advanced since it also does a zoom in and out. I wanted to duplicate the pan feature, but I haven't seen it done anywhere else. Does anyone have any simple solutions to duplicate the features shown at this website?:

Brush Tool And Eraser Tool Troubles
i've been using flash for over a year and a half and i've NEVER came across this problem.
when i go inside a movieclip to edit it, it won't let me use the brush tool or eraser.
unless i draw a circle around the area i want brushed or erased.
what the crap did i do?
keep in mind that it works normal when i'm on the main timeline.

OK I have a swf called audio.swf which just contains a 15 minute streaming audio file that it just dragged along the time line.
I want to have some visual indicators in the swf, so that the user has some info of what is going on:
What I require within the swf are the following:
1.Progress Bar: How much of the movie has been played. This will obviously go up as the timeline for the swf progresses.
2.Streaming bar: Giving the user an indication of the amount of swf that has currently been downloaded.
3.Time (minutes and seconds) that the movie clip has been playing for
4.Elaped time (time remaining)
As you can see I have attached no fla, as I am sure that these 4 visual indicators are all fairly simple to code of any of you action script daddies out there.
Any help on one or all the 4 things I require would be brilliant.
If anyone could help me this would be more than appreciated.

Fill Tool - THE MOST ANNOYING TOOL EVER
I'm trying to draw stuff, but the fill tool never works when I want it to. I try to fill something in, so I mess with the options till it works, but sometimes.. I CANT FILL IT IN AT ALL! Soo, then I have to do it manually which is really annoying. I CANT WORK LIKE THIS! Is there any way to make it not stupid?

hello all i am obviously new to flash and my question is this. i want to be able to draw lines with the line tool and pen tool that do not have rounded edges. i want the edges to be flat with two sharp corners. is this at all possible using the line tool or pen tool? thank you.
How The Bring In MC's?
I have setup my timeline and buttons with an onPress goto part of timeline. this goes to that part of the timeline and I have some load movies and all is good.
If press the links to goto various parts of the timeline slowly as you would browsing, it displays correctly

I think this is all fine when I use load and unoload movie, but I think it's when I call regular MC's
I have a menu bar down the bottom that is an MC not an swf, this has 2 parts, an open and a close and I think when I press a link on the left it just plays the mc at any part

Bring In 3D?
I purchased Flash under the--now I understand mistaken--impression that it works great with illustrator. (last time I used Flash it was 1999)
I was having fun limited illustrator 3D abilities, and I was hoping to be able to bring stuff to flash and animate it. I actually managed to do this but it wasn't fun and or easy and it doesn't look good. After reading this board I am surprised it worked at all.
(Not to state the obvious, I kept the objects vector. If I have made them png, I guess that would have fixed the problem, but I sort of imagined that being able to work with vector objects was part of the point of Flash. This animation has only about 50 steps, so that would be lots of pngs, well I dont' know. Is that what everyone does? I thought the file would be too big.
So now the flash file has about 5 000 graphics in the library. Oh well. So much for illustrator.
About the only thing that worked well about it, the layers did fall nicely into the frames.
But is there any 3D program that would work well with Flash. Nothing complicated, but something that could render basic shapes and keep the gradients after they are brought over to Flash? And, nothing against Freehand, I am always a game when it comes to learning new potentially usefull graphic programs, but really, is there a point learning it at this time? I would assume greater Ilustrator compadibility is *just* around the corner, and I do not come accros many projects asking for Freehand otherwise... Plus, how is Freehand with 3D stuff, any capacity?

Bring Mc On Top
I have 10 mc's. They are all placed in a row on top of each other (like a deck of cards layed out). On rollover I want the rolled over mc to get to the highest depth and stay there until another mc I rollover another mc that gets the new highest depth. Anyone know what I mean?

anyway now you're here how do you bring an mc to the front via actionscript? I need it so that with the click of a button it brings a designated mc to the front and leaves the others in the background.

In my movie, I have movie clip windows (like popup windows, but drawn in flash) What I want, is when the button that brings that window onto the stage is released, it brings it onto the stage, but IN FRONT of the windows already there..

I have several MC´s into one another(4) and a button at the bottom of all of them.
The button is supposed to bring up a value contained into a textbox down there up to _root.textbox_variable

But it doesnt work. It only works when I have the textbox one level below _root. like this:

I have .swf loaded into containers. and in these "contained" .swf files, I have another set of contained .swf
Now, what I would like to know is: is it possible to brink one container on top of every other (I don't use level, but target)? For example: now, I have a mouse-trailing effect on one .swf and it pass under the other .swf

I'm using Flash MX 2004 and am trying to get the "Bring to Front" behavior to work.
I have 3 overlapping movie clips and would like to be able to click on a Movie Clip and bring it to the front. Then click on another of the Movie Clips and bring that one to the front.
Can you attach the "Bring to Front" behavior to a Movie Clip or does it have to be attached to a Button? If so, can you attach this behavior to a Button and bring the Button to the front?

I am working on a photo album job, I would like to let people drag the photos around and when click on a photo, it will be brought to the top. So I am using swapDepth to do that.
The problem is, there are 4 photos, I put as on each of them,
this.swapDepths(getNextHighestDepth());
when click on one photo, it works, but sometimes it also change the order of other 3 photos,
I think it is because of it is a "SWAP" ?
So how should I make it only bring one photo to the top, but not touching anything else
