How To Make Flash Menu And Content Transition
How to make a menu transition like on this site:
(when visitors mouseover on text menu, the content on the right will fade in fade out (creating a nice page transitions)

Moving All Content To Make Room For Menu At The Top?
Hi everyone.
Flash beginner here with a stupid question.
Now that I have created this nice long Flash movie I want to add a menu bar to the top of the movie *above* the existing content. I've tried changing the size of the movie which adds the space to the bottom, not the top =(
Then I've tried selecting all the frames on the timeline and moving everything down on the stage. This only seems to move whatever frame is being displayed.
I've tried selecting all items on the stage itself and moving them down. This seems to only move the items on that frame as well.
I've also tried creating a new folder and moving everything into that one folder and then moving the contents of the folder down. This doesn't work either.
Seems like there would be an easy way to move all of the elements of a movie at the same time throughout the timeline. It would REALLY suck if I had to go frame by frame, select everything, and move it down. On a 1300 frame movie this would take a few hours of work.
Can anyone tell me how to move all this stuff to make room for a menu at the top of my movie?

Flash Content - Have To Click Twice To Make Active
I have a website that has flash buttons as tabs across the top of the page. It seems that whenever someone goes to the website from a pc....on rollover there is a box around the flash content and you have to click it first to make it active and then click it twice to go to wherever it is you were wanting to navigate.
Is there anything I can do so that one click is all it will take? Some viewers are confused...thinking that based on the one click it just isn't working.

How To Make Flash Content, Easy For Users To Update?
Hello, and thanks for taking the time.
I'm creating a store map for a company that
is updating at least once a month their list of
current stores. And they want to be able to update
the map on their own, but I have no idea on how
to make it easy for them (not knowing flash) to do
the following:
1.Add another store name.
2.Add the corresponding address and picture.
3.Add the corresponding store map.
So my question is:
Is there any program that lets user update their data
and pictures without messing with flash?

Transition System For Different Content
I've been working on making a system where something "flies" onto the screen with a click. When another topic is selected the the old one flies back and the new one flies in.
It's pretty basic stuff, but my code seems to result in the things happening at once. I want the first topic to fly in and then fly out when the next topic is selected afterwards the new topic flies in.
Here's a link to what I've got so far (try clicking the coloured boxes):

It only seems to be working correctly when switching between the green (B) and orange (C) square, but when the blue (A) one is clicked/used the animation happens at once and not after each other.

Is It Possible To Wipe A Content MC Clean After A Transition?
Real fast, ran into one problem I didn't even realize till now.
I have in my movie 3 Content Clips (all loading external SWFs) Well lets say one button is pressed it loads what it has to, but if another button is pressed those items are still there (I am not using a background for the external swfs, therefore they are transparent and you can see my main movies background color).
So as you keep pressing buttons it gets thicker because its piling up. On a buttons release is there anyway I can clear content2 and content3 clips without having to swipe my transition again. Like maybe an unLoad movie or something, I really got no clue. Thanks a ton!!

Transition Content In And Out Based On Conditions
I am building a website that requires the content to not only animate in but to animate out before it goes to the next page. I need some kind of script that will not pass the gotoAndPlay("x") until the animation finishes. The problem is that I wont have any idea where the user will click so it will need to be actionscript. I have tried using a controller mc but it seemed too messy. There has to be some condition script out there. Someone please help!

Click on PRODUCTIONS --> Fictions --> des gens assis .. (first one) : in the box that appears on the right the content doesn't show up except the title and it's the same for all the movies but when i test these single movies i can see the content.
I have put the files

- soumenufil.fla : submenu
- menufict : sub sub menu
- gens.fla : one of the movie that won't work
I don't know if all these files are useful to you but if you could look that would safe my nights to come !!

Flash Menu Overlaps Content
i have an estore where the main menu is done in flash.. however even if the menu isn't expanded, the user will still not be able to click the content under the transparent flash.. this seems to be an error only in firefox.. any suggestions?

[F8] URGENT HELP NEEDED, MCbuttons Content Transition
Hi,
So, let me try to explain this:
I have 3 MC buttons, "About us" "Services" "Home", that when clicked will show content.
Ok, This is what I'm trying to do (but im only a flash designer), if when the page is loaded showing the "Home" content and I click "About us" the Content of home will have a transition into the content of About us... so when I click about us, the content of Home will be still visible while the transition.
This has to apply to all the other MC buttons. The transition will be something like "Content 1" move out "Content 2" moves in.
I really need this done, It's usually easy for me to add AS to my movies, but I cant think a way out for this one.

I have built a site which separates into upper and lower frame in html.

Load XML Content Into A Textarea When Rolling Over A Flash Menu
I'm new using actionscript/flash/xml and would appreciate any help on the following task.
I have a flash menu bar that when I roll over it I want content (specific to the item rolled over) from an xml file to appear in a textarea.

I have flash menu which i use in Dreamweaver.My website layout is in tables in Dreamweaver. I learnt how to use getURL to navigate menu buttons to change content for certain framesets. However Frameset are HELL! to resize.
Ok Ive been told to make my entire site in Flash, but b4 I do, was told I can use a Javascript to swap image on my HTML page.
I know this sounds long winded and pain. I'm more interested to see if there is a solution. Even if you all say convert to flash website design. which i will.
I would be over the moon if some1 can solve this...as many other forums has no idea.

Flash Content Overlapping Flash Menu
Need Help with Flash Content Overlapping Flash Menu in different frames!
Hello,
I am working on a church's website where they have a non-editable design template as the main framework of all the pages of the website, but the main content frame of the pages are editable.
I created a new flash movie for one of the pages, and embedded it in there, but now, the flash menu that comes with the template gets hidden by my movie, making it very difficult to navigate AWAY from the page after my movie loads.
What do I do to make my movie go to the bottom layer and any menu animations be displayed above my movie. I am a newbie so I am not sure if I am using the right lingo to describe my problem. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or need to clarify anything to understand what I am saying

I just noticed that it displays perfectly fine in IE 7 ... and I encountered the problem while viewing in Firefox - this makes me feel a lot better, and leads me to beleive that it is a inconsistency between how IE and Firefox reads the HTML .... is there anything I can do to have firefox process the HTML correctly?

How Can Make This Transition With AS2
Hello Everyone,
I have four movies: m1, m2, m3, m4. These movies are only 20kbps very small.
I am loading these movies into main movie via MovieClipLoader. Yes, I can certainly use onLoadInit() and then onLoadComplete(). The thing is that these movies are very small and don't take time to load in. I would like to be able to display a transition movie in between loading these movies. So every time a navigation button is Pressed, transition plays once and then loads the requested movie.

[F8] How To Make A Seemless Transition ?
Hi all,
I am doing an artist portfolio site and I was wondering if I could get some direction in how I should approach this issue:
What I would like to do is to load the portfolio samples onto the stage at thumbnail sizes and as the user rolls over the samples they grow and display their respective details. The problem I forsee is that if I simply shrink the artwork to thumbnail size I am going to get a really awful jagged and pixelated image. But, if I just use a smaller verson of the final image then when I enlarge it it will get incredibly pixelated...
So... What would be my best plan of attack? I will be using AS and not tweens to do this. Do I need to use _quality property or something? I would like the transition between the thumbnail and the final size to be a seamless as possible.

I need help to make a flash menu. The menu should basically load its contents from an xml tree menu, like this one: www.intrafishservices.com/menu.php, and should output it in a manner just like the menu on this site: http://www.ivangarcia.net/index.htm (with minor differences in colors, fonts, movie size, but the principal and functionality is exactly the same).
When a menu item is clicked, the page contents belonging to that item are loaded into a frame and if the menu item has a submenu, the submenu slides out as well.
The xml-file containing the actual menu structure will be a php-file that generates itself, and this part will be handled by myself

I'm Trying To Make A Transition Element In My Site....
I really wanna make a transition element to my site that will allow for a smoother transition between pages. Each page is contained in it's own movie clip and I do know how to make a movie clip dissapear and then load another one... that works, but it's not flashy. I'd really like to have a transition between pages, but I don't know exactly how to go about it. hi there, I know how to make animations. So i guess making a transition the way i would do it now is the have the page Fade out at the end of the current movieclip, then the new page fade in for the new movieclip

But it looks like they are using exactly the same transition but just changing the name of the page.
are they using lots of transitions for each page? Or are they calling up ONE movieclip and just playing it appropriately? How would i do that? I dont want to make the user load 5 different transitions when they are all basicaly the same. is there a way to do it using one transition and just changing the name of the page which it shows?
It would be amazing if i could add a preloader for the middle (next to the logo) of the transition which loads the new movieclip before it then fades into the new movieclip. is this possible?

Will Flash Make This Kind Of DVD Menu?
So I have livetype now but I want to switch to Adobe. What I need to make is a DVD menu with animation and sound. I have the animation from livetype but livetype doesn't allow sound. Which adobe program will allow me to animate a DVD menu (hopefully I can link the chapters in encore the the "#" label in photoshop) and also use sound? Flash? illustrator? I'm not really familiar with these. Basically which is most like livetype that allows sound use?
