How To Make Background Sound ?
Hi, I'm new on Flash.
Please anyone, how to make background sound in Flash ?
I mean a whole song (like when we're listening to MP3) not 2' or 3' loops. Something like jukebox perhaps....

Movie Sound And Background Sound Problem
I’m facing one problem. In my flash file have one background music and have one external movie ( flv ). I want when I click movie button then movie will load and background sound will stop and when I click close in movie then background sound will play again. *** remember movie file is external SWF file and I’ll put one button in that movie swf file call close.
And another one.. when movie running then if I click any other button then content come but movie sound play… this is not right .. caz when we click other button should be movie sound stop and background sound will playing
help me pls...
How Can I Make A Startdrag And Stopdrag Actioned Mc Make A Sound?
HI there,
I need help on this one. I have used the start and stop drag AC for pulling a sword in and out of its sheath(holster). Thats all it has to do. One problem is that no matter how hard i try i can get the sounds to match up with it. I wanted for the sounds to play everytime the user puts the sword in and everytime the user takes the sword out. how can I do this?

Is There An Easier Way To Make A Background?
Say for example you wanted the top half blue and the bottom half green. You could change the document background to blue. To create the green part, would you have to draw a shape to the edge of the stage? Would you be able to draw a line then fill the bottom half to the edges?

I finally started to built our music band site (www.decent.fr.fm). I try to do it the best I can (so don't laugh if you visit it). However I know thanks to an interactivity tutorial that it is possible to publish a transparent movie background so you could see the html background.
The tutorial says : just put this code line between your HTML tags <param name="wmode" value="transparent"> That's what I do and it doesn't work at all ??
I tried to join the tutorial publisher but he do not answer.
Can someone help me please ?

How To Make Background Clear+navigation
I have created a flash navigation menu for my school's website. I would like to know two things:
1. Is there a way to make it so the movie doesn't have to load over again for each page (it's not bad at school but most people here have dial-ups). Otherwise I think I need to find a way to do the same thing with a DHTML script.
2. Is there a way to make the background of my movie clear? Currently I have the background the same as half of the page background but you can still see an outline so I'd like to get rid of the box behind it.

[CS3] Make Stage Background Transparent
I have created a small movie i want to put in my web page. I need the background to be transparent and just show the animations. I have gone to publish properties and under the html tag made shure that the window mode drop down was set to transparent windowless but when i import the swf into dreamweaver and drop it into my document the "stage" is still showing. Is there another way to make the background transparent or am i forgetting to check some box some where?

To my surprise, this actually works! Uh.. sorta..
I'm using http://www.dreams4you.com/howto/flash/background/ as the source for this (since i couldn't get it working on my own) so here's my question:
I figured that if I changed the flash layer's properties from position:absolute; to position:fixed; that the flash layer would lock to the window position and scroll down with the page, as I've seen on many different webpages. However, when I do this, the flash layer appears further up on the page in sequence.
From what I gather, this only works in IE6+/Windows.
I know this is "frowned upon" in the world of authoring, but I'm requiring IE6+ to view my page, and a javascript lockout to "reccomend" IE6 to those who don't have it. Over 99% of my traffic is IE 5.5+ in the first place, so the reprocussions for this don't bother me.
Anyway.. does anyone know why position:fixed; all of a sudden makes this thing go nuts? Any help would be appriciated.

well i tried getting rid of this images background through trace bitmap and just removing the white.. but it locks and frreezes every time..i even let it sit for 20 minutes.. so i used photoshop to make a transparent background, and when i save the jpg.. the background turns white again? is there any way to make it transparent always?

How Can I Make Imports Background Transparent?
I'm trying to place an image that has a transparent background into flash. I tried importing it as .tga, and .gif but flash keeps placing a white background. How am I supposed to knock out the backgrounds on imported bitmaps? I tried breaking the image apart and deleting the white but It deletes the whole image instead?

I tried doing use tweening but as the frame start from frame 1 again, it will blink then loop again.. this is not smooth.

Background Sound
Hello everyone
I am having a problem with a background sound. I should start by telling you that I am using MX.
I have a Flash presentation that will be distributed on CD as a projector exe. In side the presentation you can launch programs created in Director 8.5 which contain panoramas, my problem is when you launch one of these Director files it takes about 10 seconds for the program to open, during this span of time the background sound in the flash projector gets broken up and skips. I am assuming this is because it is taxing the processor, I am running a
933mhz Pentium 3 and I think it should be able to handle both tasks. It should also be known that my panoramas are using an asset for panoramas created in Realviz Stitcher. Stitcher formats the panoramas in a shockwave file. I’m not sure if this has any bearing on the problem.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I would open to any ideas, maybe something along the lines of script attached to the button that opens the panoramas to temporally pause the sound for 15 seconds or so.

I have been working at a website and I have to use a background sound. The problem is that if I go to some other frames, the sound keeps starting again and again and it's very annoying..
Is there a way to prevent the sound from starting if it is already playing?
I mean there definetly is a way, but it is very strange because I'm not calling that sound to play again in any other frame.

Hi all:
I have background music playing on my movie. I also have two seperate tracks that a user would have to press a play button to hear. What I'm looking for is for the background music to stop when they press the play button for the track and to resume once the track ends.
I've tried the stopallsounds code and a couple of others, that I've researched but have had no success. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
