Flash :: How To Make Cool Zoom-effects?

I Have To Make A Site For A DJ. What Cool Effects Could I Add To The Site?
I do not have the site uploaded at the moment, but i am working on a DJ's website. (Known as DJK). He wants something similar to how the effect on http://www.meamusic.com/site.htm works but he doesnt want it exactly like that. He wants some kind of cool background lighting effects and such. I am not quite sure how might do this and make the website still run effectively and smoothly. I will upload the site once i get on my computer at home. Any ideas?

growing from center to the edges
I wonder how can i do it?
i´ve seen it done but i cant think of any ways to do such effect

I am putting together some banners with a type treatment. I was wondering if we have any scripts out there that can do this trick.

Picture a white background with a line of text saying " hello, I am back" and then the motion begins. Each letter shoots away, the h in hello slides to the left and the e in hello go upwards fading away. some of the letters stay behind to form the next sentence. Get the idea?

you get the picture? each frame shows letter scrambling to make a new sentence.

Can anyone help me with this?

Cool Mouse Out Effects
Hey,

Does anyone know how the mouseout effects are done on this site?

Under the "work" section, if you mouseout of the big images, there is a cool effect with the rectangle. The rectangle seems to "wiggle." How do they do it? is it just motion tween or A/S?

And if you go to the "Projects" page and mouseover the image on your right, this rectangle wiggles onto the stage and if you mouseout of it, it wiggles out. I'm just curious about the wiggle effect!

Also, how is the mouseout effect done for the buttons? It seems like the letters randomaly change when you mouseout.

I need to do a typewriter effect, so it types out with the flashing cursor as it types, does a return, types another line,kind of a paragraph?

Are there any easy ways to do this rather than doing this by hand?

Cool Effects WITHOUT ActionScript
OK, I know that this is www.ActionScript.org but I would like to see some interesting effects that you obtained WITHOUT Action Script. Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of Scripting I started with Scripting and I LOVE IT ... just want to see if it can be done without.

SO, I will put my effect "without scripts" (Except the stop in the last frame and the replay button - but the effect is done without ANY scripting)... and I will wait yours (the FLA file too if you can):

Does anyone know a page where there is some cool text effects tutorials for Flash MX, or actionscript?

Apparently this mask effect was done dynamically. The individual hexagon animation is the only tween (although I guess this could have been done dynamically as well). It is attached dozens of times and animates out offset by a timer. All of the hex movie clips are inside a holder movie clip which is set to be a mask.

Anyone have any .fla's of transitions like this?

Where Can I Find Some Fla's With Some Cool Zooming Effects?
I am trying to create an effect of zooming into a picture, and am curious to know if you know of any cool effects or sites that do it well.

I have a main image on the home page, and when you click on different parts of the image, you zoom into it close up. But I'd like to have it come in with a smooth, elegant way, perhaps following a motion guide so that it curves a bit.

Any advice would be really appreciated.

Cool Mouse Effects - Suggestions?
Hey all... this is pretty urgent, so I would severely appreciate any helpful suggestions you can offer.

I'm working on a website in Flash (duh), and actually I have the file open right now. I'm just giving it a few finishing touches, but I need some kind of cool user-interactive mouse effect.

I was thinking along the lines of a circle (or other random object of my choosing) which follows the mouse around, and has a spring kind of reaction when it actually catches up to the mouse. There was a tutorial on springs but I must have done something wrong because it wouldn't work.

If anybody has any other suggestions for this, or could help me out with my current problem, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Dynamic Menus With Cool Effects
Hi,
I am having trouble working out exactly what is happening behind the scenes when dynamic menus/ submenus get displayed with some effect.

I am able to read in an xml file, create a menu, and display submenus with the use of a rollover event. The submenus appear immediately, all at once. However i would like the submenu items to appear with some effect.

For example,

The "models" button in the top left corner has the features i want.

1. With a mouse over i want a menu to appear. The first submenu item to be appear is the last on the list.

2. when the mouse drifts off the list, the submenu retracts in the same order it appeared.

How is this done? I do not want/expect any script. If anyone can explain the steps involved in creating such a menu i'd love it!

I've been messing around with this for days but i really dont understand what the concepts are

How should i be thinking about doing this?
Do you use masks? or is there something a little more sophisticated?

Creating Cool Transition Effects With LoadMovie

Enter into the main page and use the buttons on the right to navigate. I'm trying to create a transition effect like this with my website after a button is clicked, and I can do it with loadMovie. The only detail I'm missing is how the guy who created that template makes it so that the buttons (when clicked) loadMovie of a new movie clip, but with the previous movie clip already in the background.

It's hard to describe, but basically I'm trying to make my page look less static. Let me explain with an example:

1. I click on "About" in the right navigation. The transition occurs, the box zooms in and the content flies in from the left.

2. Next I click services, and the transition occurs BUT the "About" content is still in the background, and the transition occurs over it.

Whenever I do loadMovie and use the same empty MC, the current content that is being displayed right before the button is clicked disappears and the movie that is to be loaded is loaded immediately.

I'm trying to make each transition load over the current content displayed.

Does this make sense? I'm trying to make as much sense as possible.

If anyone could give me some tips on how to go about this I'd appreciate it.

Just found it extremely cool, wouldn't mind doing some stuff using that technology, especially the whole zooming in thing, looks amazing, works a dreammm!

Basically, every button you click loads a new picture. The drop shadow surrounding each picture resizes with every click...via actionscript.

How is this achieved? I'd love to have a simple break down of it, and or a working sample of a couple of buttons altering a movie clip in just such a way.

How Do You Make Cool Buttons?
I went through beginner tutorial that shows how to make a button with a movie clip. Create a Roll Over tween, a Stop Tween, and a Roll Out Tween.

What about when the user clicks on the button? I don't want it to go back to the normal state. I want it to stay highlighted until the user clicks a different button.

How do you do that?

Also, are most people using action script to make buttons move or are they using the timeline to make there own movie clip buttons? Thanks.

How Did They Make This Cool Preloader..?

Basically, I love the fact that it eases out, and fades out as it reaches the end. It is a very smooth effect.

If you refresh the page, it will do it again.

How can I recreate this type of preloader? All the preloaders I have seen are clunky and don't have an easing effect like this.

Help With Trying To Make A Cool Intro Page
Well first off just wanted to say hi to everyone and thanks in advance for anyone who can help me out with my question. Here we go. What i want to do is for an intro page i am going to have a turbo with the impeller facing forward

basically this picture, or something that might work better

Then what i am looking to do is that when you mouse over the impeller the blade will actually spin and have a sound like a turbo spooling up and then if you take the mouse off of it there will be a sound like a blow off valve going off. Then when you click on the impeller you get taken into the site. Is this possible?? Thanks.
