Flash :: I Wanna Make Transition Colors On 1 Graphic Whit AS And Different Buttons

Transition Causing Colors To Be Off In Transition
I'm trying to recreate a transition/fade of an image from a flash file that I only have the swf to. It looks great on my box, but once live a viewed through Firefox, the colors get almost pschycodelic during the transition. I am using a tween between 0% alpha setting to 100% alpha, and selecting the blend to 'Hard Light'.

Has anyone else seen this and know of a work around?

ScrollPane Whit Buttons
I'm trying to make a Scroll Pane whit text that works like a button.

I already put my text in a movie symbol and converted them to buttons. I made the buttons active in the movie clip whit the code:

on (release) {
gotoAndPlay("Scene 1", "1");
}

using frame labels.

Now the cursor does chances in the pointing finger, but on release nothing happens.

Please let me know what to do.

Wanna Make An Easy $50?
Hey guys, I've got a little project, and I need someone to program some action script for it. The project is a simple game (possibly the most simple game that has ever existed) which consists of some drawn out charectors popping up from behind buildings, missiles falling from the sky, and some creatures moving from left to right and right to left on the stage. The point of the game is to click on them, and play a small drawn animation of an explosion.

My hope is that the game could be kept to the simplest actionscript. Really basic stuff like 'mouseup' 'mousedown' and such. However, it should have a few basic sounds, which I will provide.

Like I said, really, really basic stuff that a beginner could understand. If you really understand Actionscript well, I wouldn't expect it to take much more then an hour and a half to two hours to do. I understand a little beginner Actionscript, but not enough to do the entire project.

The drawings and sound will be provided by me, by whatever means you would like. I can put the drawings and files up on a server, and you can download them directly, and follow a breif game design form, or I can mail you a CD overnight with all the files on it. (At no cost to you, of course.)

I've got a design form to this game, to give you a better understanding of what I'm looking for, and what the project entails. Just email me or message me for a copy.

Payment is $50, US, and can be transfered more or less however you'd please, if you have a paypal account, I'd be glad to transfer money that way, or I can mail you a check, etc, as soon as I have the game and it functions.

How To Transition Colors?
Hi,

I'm looking to achieve an effect for my site but am unsure on how to progress and was hoping someone could help.

I am looking to have my page slowly change from one color to another after the user selects a menu item.

For example Home page is purple, use selects contact and the color gradually fades to an orange.

A live example of this happening is here

I Wanna Make A Rollover Banner
Hi.
I want to make a rollover banner which when i move to cursor over it will expand over the website and will contract if i move the mouse off of it.
I wonder how can i do that? Because if i have a motion tween which expands the movie clip on the stage lets say from 200 height to 400 height the exported swf has 400 height anyway and i will not be able to use a part of the site because of the flash.

So i want to make it resize the stage when i start the motion tween. And back to 200 when i roll out.
How can i resive the whole document from within flash using AS 2?

I need to make a dynamic image gallery. there are about 300 images and creating mc for so many images will be very time consumable work.
Is there anyway i can do it thru action scripting. I am not good with it too, i can load dymanic txt, can i load images dynamically in movie clips and is there anyway to add on movie clips or images in the flash file without actually edditing the flash file, instead just adding files in the image folder.

Smooth Transition Between Random Colors
how can I make a smooth transition between random colors?
so far I have this done:

this is on the frame action:

and this is in a movie clip which is off stage, generating a random

There is a nice one in the tutorials, but I'm not able to use it for some reason. Maybe because it is not for MX 2004.

I Wanna Make A Zoom To An Object From A Draggable Scrollbar
Hello, I realy need a little AS help with an object (a square) that I wanna zoom it (in and out), progresively, from a scrollbar. Let me be more specific:

There is a horizontal scroll bar and a blue square. When I drag my scroll to the right the sqoare needs to grow, and when I drag my scroll to the left my square needs to minimize.

Graphic Disappears After Transition Effect?
Flash newbie here.....I'm trying to build an animated navigational banner. I have a layer which currently extends to frame 30. I wanted it to wipe on so I put a 15 frame transition effect on it. The problem is that after frame 15 the graphic just disappears and I can't figure out how to make the graphic "freeze" after the transition has been completed....

been messing around with a stop(), etc. but to no avail.

Adding Preloader Graphic To Movieclip Transition
Hi Folks,

I have a Flash movie where, when you click on one of the buttons, a transition movieclip plays over the top of the currently playing movie. When the transition movieclip finishes playing, the new movieclip (for the button you pressed) is now playing in the middle of the screen instead. Confused? This script is almost perfect for what I want, except, instead of the simple "loading graphic" in the middle of the transition, I would rather have a loading graphic with a percentage indicator and "amount loaded" bar/graphic too.

16 Bit Colors Make PNG Transparency Ugly
I got a real problem.
My desktop is using 32 bit color depth. Therefore everything in flash and photoshop is seen in 32 bit colors.

Lately I discovered a weird difference when I saw my flash production on a other computer which displayed 16 bit colors. Every imported .png file differed in color with the html displayed background. And even worse you could see the transparent parts of the png images in a pale gray color but still transparent.

What could be wrong with my use of color or the way in exporting things? Really don't know please help me,

I have a shockwave movie I want to post on my site, but because it is longer, I want a little progress graphic to show up ahead of time and show the progress and how long it will take before the movie shows up. How do I do that, you see it done all the time. Do I just make a little animation in the first couple of frames, and if so, how many frames, and will it preload correctly, etc.

I guess I am asking "Is there a step-by-step" process?

um, i'd like to know how you make a graphic/button/movie clip move away from the mouses position.

very softly/ as if gravity was pushing it away, strong enough to make the object hard to catch.

when i put the mouse over the 'click me ' button, the yellow color box is suppose to appear and i can choose from the list of songs in it( the hello word)... and load the appropriate page.

my problem is..
when i put my mouse over the "click me" button. the box will appear.. but when my mouse leave the button to choose from the 'hello', the yellow box will dissappears.. how can i make it stay?

Change Other Buttons Colors On Mouse Over?
Hey guys,
I have very little flash experience so please bear with me.

I have 4 buttons in a row that are all different colors. I want to have it so when I mouse over / click one button, the other 4 change to the same color as it then return to their original states when the mouse moves off.

I tried just drawing the effect i wanted in the up,over,down frames for each button (and placing all the buttons in the same layer) but because of the arrangement only the front button works.

I would appreciate any help you can provide.

I’m working on a menu that has to change the color of a button (a movieclip with a invisible button on it), when you move your mouse over it. Next to that, when you click a certain button, the color has to change, and the button must become inactive, till another button is clicked.

The “mouseOver’s” work, but the I can’t make the button change till another button is clicked. For this I use the following code on a keyframe:

I'm making a Jeopardy game for a project for school, and I've got everything figured out except how to change the color of the text for questions already clicked on. Like if you've clicked on a website link before, it turn purple, I want the ones that have clicked on to change colors so we don't accidently use one twice. Does anyone know how I can do that?

i am creating a pseudo desktop for my webpage. i have little folder icons that u can drag around and thats fine, but, i want them to have 2 states. one is closed and when u click on them it changes to an open folder. i think i can do this easily with the button state "down" but i want it to stay open until the person closes the mc "looks like a floating folder" is closed or "unloaded". i really really need help with this.

My graphic includes the picture itself and the white area around it. I don't want that white area to be visible. It is visible when on top of a lower, non-white, layer. Bit of a newbie to actionscript, but hey it is a big old language!

I'm fine with on(release) to take to a new frame etc but this is my situation.

Imagine a Windows PC. You click the Start Button, it makes the start menu appear, no matter what folder/window/software you have open. Now liken it to a flash movie. Interactive, to make a button to make a set of graphics appear in a set place on the frame.

How Do I Make A Graphic Into Multiple Symbols
I made a vector out of a drawing on illustrator and imported it into flash for animation. I tried to "break apart" my black and white image so I could animate the eyes, mouth etc. as separate symbols. I found that only the black shapes not touching any other shape were made into their own symbols.
