I juts got StudioMX and all my small text looks BAD!

Even the text in the "answers" section inside flash has some text that looks fuzzy.

I have to make a navigation menu using 8-10 pt text,
but no matter what font I use or even if I DRAW it...
it comes out either distorted or fuzzy.

What should I DO?? anyone else found this??

Flash Text Appears Fuzzy When Inserted As An Image In Dreamweaver
I created a logo in Flash. The text appears clear in Flash. When I inserted into my web page via Dreamweaver the text is fuzzy and can't be read when I display it in IE6. Is there any way to make the text readable. I've attached the flash document .

Modify Text Border/outline In Flex/Flash ?

Text got its own border which define its outline and then colors filled inside that border.

If you get what I meant, I wanna modify it - make it thicker, thinner - ( the border of text ), does flex/flash support such tools or API available ? Thanks

Flash MX - Box Outline Around Custom Text On A Configurator Page
Basically, I am trying to find an answer for a co-worker. She is building a configurator page for a sales dept. It works, but she is stuck on one point. The page configures "jerseys" (you know, the type football players wear) for color, custom text on back, etc. She would like to have the option available to the end user to choose to have a box outline around the custom text on the back of the jersey. Also, she would like the ability to have the end user choose the color of the outlined box as well. Does anyone know how to do this? If so, please help us out...we have been searching for the answer on other forums and to no aveil. Thank you.

Illustrator Text To Flash
does anyone know how to import illustrator text into flash while keeping all of the text options (kerning, tracking, leading, horizontal/vertical scale) while also keeping the text sharp? when i import the text into flash with "recommended import settings" checked, it imports with all the text options but it becomes very anti-aliased... when i import the text into flash without "recommended import settings", the text options are lost but the text is very sharp.

Keeping Text Editable When Going From Illustrator To Flash
I haven't moved a lot of artwork over to Flash from Illustrator, but on the few occassions when I have, I noticed that the text was converted to shapes and I could no longer edit it once I got it into Flash. Is this typical or could I be doing something wrong?

Creating Dynamic Text Field For Flash CS3 In Illustrator CS3
I've created a series of buttons in an illustration and made them into movie clip symbols in Illustrator. I then created some text fields for the button labels and assigned them as dynamic text in the Flash Text panel in Illustrator.

When I import the illustration into Flash and test the movie, I get this error message:

TypeError: Error #1034: Type Coercion failed: cannot convert flash.text::TextField@d18cef9 to flash.display.MovieClip.

It seems like Flash is misinterpreting the text fields brought in from Illustrator as Movie Clips?

Hi there,

I'm currently building a Flash site in MX but I'm having a problem with the text looking a bit fuzzy...

I've tried using different fonts, turning Anti-aliasing on and off and positioning the text on exact pixels (eg. 5.0 instead of 5.2) but none of this seems to have made a difference.

Is there something I'm missing here?!?!

Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

Working on a site with a lot of static text. Originally the site was done in Flash 5. When I saved it as Flash 6, the text changed in appearance and looks larger and fuzzy. I'm just using Arial - nothing unusual and I have Adobe Type Manager installed. The text has been made into symbols. So I have no clue!!! pleaase halp.

i have flash mx. i created text in century gothic, size 10, which should be a crisp font and easy to read. but instead, it appears fuzzy no matter what i do.

i have looked at the altering the settings of my screen to a 1024x768, but it doesn't do anything either.

I am looking for a solution so that dynamic text in Flash is not "fuzzy" - that is make it look as the static text, but also be capapble of tweening. Is that possible in Flash 8? Or at least in MX / MX 2004?

hello. i was wondering if anyone could tell me how to set the text in the flash movie to clear and crisp. it seems that any text that i have either static or dynamic becomes fuzzy and blurry.

my problem is a simple one, my text is showing up 'fuzzy'.

the facts

- fuzzy when i type it right in;
- fuzzy when it is programmed in with actionscript;
- sometimes it gets fuzzy ONLY on a certain line (eg line 3);
- i am NOT 'bolding' and or 'italicizing' the text;
- it happens with Arial, Tachoma, _sans, Frutus T, Verdana ,...;
- size doesnt matter;

Fuzzy Text Problem
i was wondereing if anyone can help me with this i have purchased a flash pixel font from miniml and have used it across my site.

the problem i seem to get in places is that the text in some areas looks fuzzy not as clear as it should do, i will use the font in one position on the same page and it will look fine ( nice and clear as it should ) i then say use it underneth the first one and that one will look slightly fuzy just not as clear as the others.

im confused can any one help, i also get the same problem on some input fields as well, but just to let you know i have embeded the font for the input fields.

it also is not dependant on font it will happern with standard fonts as well

I recently began experimenting and importing external .swf's into my flash movies as the last video outlined, via the MovieClip Loader Class.

I previously attempted to use the LoadMovie function, however, my text was blurry and I needed another method to try and combat the fuzziness. After much tribulation and the guidance of a friend I realized that my loader and holder fields were not of an even value, thus making my text appear fuzzy.

This note might be obvious to advanced flash action scripters, but for all you intermediate and novice coders and developers I think this is worthy of making reference to in your future projects.

I have a problem!!! Why is everything I draw rounded off at the edges. And I have just spent the past 2 hours trying to find options to straighten these edges out... NOTHING. Not only if you draw a box, but a line, erasing lines... Everthing becomes rounded off at the edges. WHY!?! Please HELP!?? GOD WHY!!??

I'm sure this is a relatively straightforward question, but it's driving me mad!!

I am trying to create some text with an outline in flash. I can't seem to find anyway of doing this in flash! I've attached a copy of what I am trying to achieve. I have created this in photoshop, but I really want to try to avoid importing this into my flash movie, as this will make the movie too large and I think it might also be messing up part of the animation.

I hope this makes sense.

I thought it was breaking apart text, then grabbing the outline tool as told in the thread here. However this doesn't seem to work in version 8.

Dynamic Text Scroller With Blurred Edges - How Is It Possible?
Hi everyone,

I have a nice dynamic text scroller which I made following a tutorial from where (can't recall where now) however I am trying out to figure out how people have a blurred mask covering the top and bottom edges of their text scroller - it looks sooooo cool and I really want to know how it's done.

an example of what I mean is the text scroller at http://www.i4design.nl - the blurred effect on the edges of the mask is very effective.

I've asked about this on a few different forums and had a variety of different responces such as embedding text, using a .png from Photoshop as the mask, putting the mask ontop of the actual text layer ect. ect. ect. but so far I have found nothing that works.

Does *anyone* out there know how ít's done!?
