Sparkle Image Effect And Button Sound Effect
Im trying to figure out how to make sparkle effects to images. Im new to this let me say first off but im not new to web design and htmls.
I also wanna know the button sound effect code. On 50 cent.com everytime you move over a link there is a gun cocking sound and then when you click the link it makes a gun shot noise. How was this achieved?

Color Effect
I was wondering if someone here could help me out with a gfx effect on www.xplodingplastix.com . You can see the effect if you rollover the image. The colors on the image tints to different hues, at different x and y positions. Any help on this effect, would be greatly appreciated!

Rollover Image Gallery With Swap Image Effect?
I'm trying to do a flash banner like the one from:

when you rollover the buttons that say: eyeblaster ACM v2.0, advanced analytics, etc. the nice artistic banner appears. when you are no longer over it, it still stays to that same banner until you rollover the other buttons. so it's like a swap image effect, only in flash.

how would i go about this?

how do u make a kind of two tone color effect. Its almost like a shadow type thing. Say i have a ball and its grey how do i make a little of the top a different color

How is the multiply effect perserved on the orange loader and up and down arrows on this site? its deffently not just a straight alpha change?

It looks like when you change a layer to multiply in photoshop, it cant be done to masking a layer underneath because the menu comes through when you roll over them

Wipe Effect With Color
So when you "wipe" away something it uses the background color to wipe right? im assuming it does one of 2 things, 1: uses a mask the same color as the background and moves the mask along the obj covering it or 2: goes along and hides the object somehow.

what im trying to do is get something like an old computer like look and when it wipes away one page it does so with a gradient of black and dark green, so a wave of green effect.

right now i would settle for wiping with a color other than my background. i looked in the live docs and it seems like they tried to do it be it doesnt work?(for me)

used the mxml for simplicity

Custom Color Effect
Hi. We have a client that wants an effect similar to the one found in
the link below. In all honesty I don't even know what I would search
under in flashkit. We are fairly new to Flash and have done nice movies
involving image transitions but never attempted anything like this.

Would anyone have advice as to where I can find a tutorial or a basic
idea how to accomplish this? We are using Flash CS3.

AS - Adjust Color Effect Through AS
I recently worked on a project that required fade-in and out of images using the Adjust-Color filter effect. I didn't have a lot of time - so for 2 hours I tried finding a way to do it using actionscript for no avail... the desired effect is produced when assigning a movie clip the adjust-color filter, and setting both "brightness" and "contrast" to 100 - then animating them (using let say 20 frames) back to 0. the result is a 'burn-out' effect which is pretty cool compared with a regular fade in. You can see what it looks like if you go to www.monster.com (the main flash piece on the page).

So - if anyone could shed some light on the subject, I'm sure a lot of people would find it handy.

I have a movie clip with a dynamic text field in it
i man an animation with the movie clip which sets an alpha

however when it plays it doesnot show the alpha effect

can i change the alpha settings on a movie clip with a dynamic text field?

Advanced Color Effect Dialog
Is there a way to have the advanced color effect dialog popup in a movie that is playing, and have the user affect the colors through that?

And if it's not that easy, has someone made a movie where a makeshift one that shows the numbers of the variables with sliders and pretty much the same thing, just not the exact one, that achieves the same thing?

Flash Mx And Color Multply Effect
Does Flash MX have the ability or is there a plug in to create the "Multiply" effect as seen in Photoshop or Illustrator?

The alpha does not work the same in flash. I'd like a color bar to float across the background and pick-up the colors below as it would if I were using a layer in photoshop/illustrator. The effect darkens the bar color based on the color below.

Color Dodge/Fade Transition Effect?
Could someone help me out how this affect is achieved? If you look on the photos to the left of http://www.sullivanfuneraldirectors.com/ and see that each one "color dodges" and fades into the next one. Is this done through actionscript or importing multiple images via Photoshop and fading in the effect? It seems that actionscript would make this effect.

Dynamic Text Typing Effect, In Color
Ok, I'm hoping I can explain the effect I'm going for, and someone can help me out. Right now, I'm using setInterval and the substring attribute to type out a paragraph one character at a time.

What I'd like to do is- type out that paragraph, one letter at a time- but each line types at the same time. So instead of starting at the first letter and typing each out to the last letter (which is what I'm currently doing) I'd like to detect the beginning of each line and type out from there. I hope that makes sense.

I'd also like for the most recently typed letter to be a different color then the rest of the text. Any help pointing me in the right direction would be great. I'm looking for:
1. How to detect a new line in a dynamic text field OR
1a. How to create dynamic text fields (one for each line of an externally loaded text file)
2. How to control the color of dynamic text with actionscript

Timer Controlled Color Transition Effect?
I have a site that I'm putting together. The site is basically one large flash file, (760x560), and I'm having some trouble with one specific component.

I have a graphic that I want to change colors gradually over a specific amount of time. I have specific colors that I need to to change, so I can't invoke any randomness. I'd love to be able to do it all with actionscript. If all else fails, I'll just tween the whole thing, but I know there's a way to do this.

Navigation Menu Color Effect, Using Arrays?
I'm trying to build a custom navigation menu, where the selected menu item will change color with a gentle fade-- and then, when a different menu item is selected, the previous menu item will fade back into it's original state.
I've succeeded in creating this fade effect for a single menu item-- I'm using two movie clips, directly on top of one another, each a different color. With actionscript, I can fade the alpha of the top clip out, revealing the bottom clip-- and then swapping the depths of the clips, so that on second click, the user is actually clicking the second clip-- which will then swap depths again, and will fade the original clip back in.

I'm sure there's a better way though-- and the problem is that I can't figure out how to control all of the menu items at the same time (let's say, five items for example), so that they will all revert to their original state when a user clicks on another item.

I've tried putting the clips into an Array, and trying to use the alpha control on the clips in the Array-- but with mixed success. I can get them all to fade out, but can't control them individually this way.

Also, is there a way to animate a color change in a movie clip (or a text field) without tweening? I can change an object's color with script-- but not animate it-- which is why I'm using two different clips of different colors.

An example (more or less) of what I'm talking about is the main menu at this site-- www.bumbleandbumble.com their menu doesn't work exactly like I described, but more or less.

Question On Flash Color Advanced Effect
I'm trying to use the Flash Advanced Effect like the Photoshop Hue/Saturation feature.

Yes, it could be completely possible, all we have to do is to change the rgb of one color into the rgb settings of the dastination one... but in my case, its just a little bit more complicated...

Let me explain.

Lets just consider a vector box with a blue color going to black in a linear gradient. so the initial set is a blue/black gradient.

Now i want to use the Flash Advanced Effect to turn it into a red/black one. So i need to preserve the ammounts of black in the image changing only the blue portion into red. Is that possible to reach this red/black one?

Any help is appreciated.

I am trying to do a transition from black and white to color with an image. Not on mouse over or anything, just over time. So it seems like the image goes to color in 20 frames or so.

Changing Image/Color
I am trying to figure out how those furniture websites have buttons you press that change the fabric on the image?...would anyone know how to do that or what it is called?...can i even do it in flash 8?...
i have searched online and can't find an answer....i got close to where i can make two squares -one blue- and -one red- i click on the blue one and it makes the red square turn green. the only problem is that as soon as i let go of my mouse, it changes back or it gets all screwy and starts switching between colors by itself.

Mask Image From B/w To Color?
I want to use a b/w image as a preloader and as the content loads, the image gets colored the same percent. Just like a regular preloaderbar, just that the counter is the color. Anyone understands what I mean and can point me in the right direction for accomplishing this?

One Image (Alter The Color?)
Hello everyone, let me run this by you:

I have one image in color. I want to create hot spots on the image so that when I enter say the boundary of that area, it stays color, but the rest of the image either goes to B&W or alpha fades.

Is this possible without using multiple movieclips of the same image, or multiple layers?

No Background Color Or Image
New to Flash. Using Flashpro8 (no catgegory choice above) on a Windows PC.

Learning from tutorials and all is fine until I try to create my own document. I open, cannot change background color, nor import bitmap (jpg) image (I get an image in the library, but onstage it is just the rectangular outline). What am I doing wrong?

Export Image Without Change In Color
Hi,

I am exporting an image created in flash in .ai or .eps format. When I am opening the .eps image in Adobe photoshop it is offering a menu "Rasterize generic eps format" in which I am choosing the mode as RGB - but still there is a color difference between the image in flash and the one opened in photoshop.

If I open the .ai image in Adobe illustrator - it straight away opens the file in CMYK mode and there once again the color difference occurs. Can someone specify a way to export the image so that there is no color difference between the original & the exported image.
