Flash :: Image Morphing In Flash

Flash Image Morphing Help...
Hi,

I have a picture of a flower. In Fireworks, I changed the Hue/Satuation to black and white, saved as a .JPG. I then edited the same flower to having red petals instead of black and white, saved as .JPG. I put these on seperate parts of the timeline in flash, used a shape tween, and hoped the colours would morph, they were broken apart etc, nothing happened. Please tell me what I am doing wrong

I am trying to create site with image morphing, however am a complete newbie to Flash! Anway this is what i want to do:

I have a selection of buttons each button is an image that when the mouse moves over morphs to a text phrase to say where that button goes to, i.e news, links or bio. I have managed to set up the morphing of the images to text ok. However how do i get them to morph just when the user goes over them, and then to morph back when they mouseout. As it complains they are not buttons.

Also can i create each button morph as a seperate .swf file and then import into a main .swf file?

I was wondering if in the main .swf i would need to create buttons types for each of the buttons, which are basically the image at the start of the morph. Then when the user goes over the button i play the movie with gotoandplay(), I have managed to achieve something similiar to what i want using this, but not sure if this would be rite? Final point, when the user clicks on this button i want it to take them to that page, i know i use the geturl() method, but could someone perhaps give some more details.

Guys i appreciate the help, and as much details as possible would be great.

Hey all I am very new to flash, and need some help with something if it isnt to much to ask for. I have been reading some tuts about shape tweening and letter tweening that basically will morph into another shape, or letter or whatnot. But my question would be this, I have tried it everyway i can think of, to take 2 images, and make them morph from image, slowly to another image...and seems like I cannot figure out how to do it, I just get a blank screen....any help oh masters of flash?

Hello All,

I am looking to create a slideshow with different shaped images and I wanted to create a boarder around the image which will expand and contract around any image even if it is out of sequence. I can't find an example online at the minute eventhough I have seen the effect several times but this link is similar to what I am looking for...

The bottom of the page moves up and down to accomodate the shape of the images. The difference is I want the whole image to be surrounded.

I hope this is clear. Are there any tutorials or fla's on flashkit I should look at? Is there a specific name for this effect which I could do a google search for a tutorial because I can't seem to find anything.

Hello Friends, I wonder if someone might be able to assist me? I have an image that I wish to change the sizing to. What I am after is a script or tutorial on how I can use an image for a movie in which the image takes on a liquid effect, very similar to a liquid poring out of a pitcher, or container.

Faking Video With Image Tweening / Morphing ? Timing ?

Im looking at taking a sequence of pictures of someones head talking and using the tweening , kinda making it look like a morph...as if the person is talking.

What im wondering is what is the right mixture of keyframes and opacity to timing (fps ?) to how many key frames between the pics.....

how i see it unfolding is
showing the pic and fading it out while on the next layer another pic starts at 0% opacity then gradually going to 100% and then back down to 0%.. when it goes down from 100% another pic is going from 0 - 50% - 100%

Hello

I saw a website this morning which I was very taken with and wondered if it was made with Flash itself, or whether the members knew of a simpler "Flash" software that could do the job...

In essence what happened was an example of morphing..in this case from a solid circle of colour into an elaborate coat of arms also in the same single colour.

Can anyone help me please....

Anyone got any ideas about how to dynamically pull off a photo-morph effect between two photos?

Was thinking about building something where a user could upload a couple of photos, and select a number of points to morph between images...

Problem With Morphing In Flash
Hello,
I have a rather basic problem with Macromedia Flash MX. I want to make a flash movie with four playing cards changing fluently into eachother. I have pictures (.jpg) of the cards I want to change between. When I play the finished flash movie (after I have put the different cards in different keyframes and selected morphing between them) they just switch, not blend into eachother.

I hope I have made my problem clear and you understand what I'm talking about.

Hey Guys.

I am fairly new to the flash stuff.

But I am working on an intro... So far doing pretty good.

Ok.. I am trying to morph a straight line into a sentence. It comes out perfect in a new movie but when i bring it into the intro it morphs fine but the second to last frame is black and then shows the sentence. Confusing? OK....

It morphs fine.. A 40 frame morph.. But on frame 39 everything disappears.. then on frame 40 the Sentece pops up... Not a smooth transition...

Any pointers????

Hello,

I am having a problem that I'm hoping has an easy solution. It seems when I import .png images (or any type of image for that matter) into Flash, it morphs/stretches the images. Example below.

Anyone I have talked to about this has always suggested I convert the PNG into a symbol. But this does not help the matter.

Would anyone happen to have a solution to this?

Morphing Two Jpg's?
Hello all.

I have a question about a problem I can't seem to solve. It's probably something very simple, you know how these things work:-)

I want to morph one jpg into another. I have a jpg of a very small beetle and a jpg of a large dragon. Both of them are drawings I once made in PSP but I can't duplicate anymore in Flash seeing that this would be much to difficult.

I thought I would import the jpg's into flash and somehow morph the small beetle image into the larger dragon image with shape tweening. So I would start out with the beetle driving from right to left and then near the end change into the dragon.

I know I could get it done if I could draw both pictures again in Flash itself but as I said this is way to difficult.

Does anyone know of a solution or a tutotial on how to do this with jpg's?

I downloaded Jason's tute about morphing, it is great and worked well providing the morphed objects were drawn on Flash, so I then tried to morph other pics, well that doesn't work so found another tute by Chris; I can't make it work; in "adding hints" he says "press 'ctrl, shift & H' you will see a small red circle with the letter 'a' appear"
well nothing appears; so is there a point missing in his tute? or am I doing something wrong? (most likely), I would really like more info about morphing as it is magic!

Is there a way of morphing one picture into another in flash? I dont want one picture to fade out while one fades in. If you cannot do this in flash, is there another program, like photoshop, or perhaps fireworks that will allow for this. Thanks for the help guys!

Morphing Into A Jpg
I've used Adobe Illustrator to create a title for my page using 3 simple colors (blue, black, yellow) and saved it as a jpg. I was wondering if you can use Flash to have 3 bouncing balls (blue, black, yellow colored balls) and eventually meet each other, and then shape tween into the jpg title. If so, how? And if you can do something like that. Will the movie take up that part of the screen where my title is. Or will the three bouncing balls morph into the title, and then I can have the title sitting there on the top of my webpage in jpg form, not moving, and not a movie file. Thanks.

With shape tweening the movie only plays the image at the first frame, a blank space and then my final frame... :/ what am i doing wrong? why wont it tween?

I have a problem morphing text, it works fine when I just use anything els then text.

I make the text and break it apart.

then I make a keyframe 10 frames down, and remove the text from the new keyframe, and make some new text and breake that apart to.

then I put on the shape tween.

but there is only something on the keyframes, and no morphing betwine them....

i just started a new site, and its taking longer then i expected. i want the background to change colour when i click on a link to a different section, and depending on what page its going to will dpend on the colour.

so this means i need 4 or 5 backgrounds, and the colours morphing from each on to each other. this seems like it will take too long how im doing it, manually in one movie. is there a quicker, easier way to do it?

Morphing Boxes(MCs?)
Can anyone explain to me how you would go about getting an effect like this. I have seen it several places, but most recently, here:

The effect is one used in transitions where a box will morph it's borders - they will round, then straight, then convex round, then...well..kind of...bounce into place. Click around that site and you will see what I mean. I would think he is using some math based code, but don't even know where to start.

If anyone knows of any tutes, or can at least me in the right path, it would be greatly appreciated.
