Doing Flash Multiplayer Games Over The Internet?
Is it possible to make flash games that can have multiple different users log onto the same game and play together? If so how can tell me how or directed me to the appropriate reading materials

How is it possible to connect a flash document to a another over a network or the internet. I have seen examples of this used with the games on msn messenger. I am guessing this must involve some other script language and probably a server. Can anyone give me details on how to do this, i am an experinced 2d game maker, i wanna take my games to the next level!!!

i would like to download the .fla of some classic games such as:
Snake, PacMan, TicTacToe, Space Invaders, Ping Pong, Arkanoid, Tetris, Moonlander, Minesweeper, etc.

I was looking in actionscript and flashkit web sites and i wasn't able to get anything with a good quality.

Could someone indicated me where to get these games? It can be for flash MX.

Flash And VB6 Games
I posted this over at vbforums.com and they directed me here.

While surfing the web, I found a website (badgehelp.com) that actually has programs that play flash games for you (i guess for the really lazy).

I am a novice VB6 programmer and am interested in learning how to write programs that do this.

Can anyone point me in the right direction on where to start?
I am fairly familiar with VB6 and do have some reference books but have no idea on how to even go about doing something like that.

Any help would be appreciated.

Anyway neopets.com has a flash 3d game "- The Last Smiley -" The first time I have seen a desent attempt at a flash 3d game, It does have its bugs though, when you end the game and collect your neo point it freezes up!

I have flash mx 2004----can I creat flash 3d games using it?

Do I need flash 8?

I am just begining to learn actionscript 2.0 i am jsut learning varibles,
I just learned macromedia is selling flash 8 and I do not know a thing about it

is there a new actionscript for it?
Should I not waist my time on flash mx 2004 and learn flash 8 insted?

I'm totally new here (and to flash MX too) and i need a little help :
I browsed all the flash related websites and i can't find what i'm looking for...
Let me explain :
- I want to create a very samll game (top view or 3d isometric) for my website navigation.
- The user will be a character and i want that he can move with the keyboard (i can do that). But i don't know how to do the impression of WALK!? How can i do that?
- The character will be in a room with furnitures and i dont want that he go inside the funritures (collisions detection i think?)

Can someone help me please? I'm totally lost!

I'm not an expert at actionscript, but is there a good place to start for finding a tutorial about developing a flash game that would simulate kicking a ball through goal posts? It would not be a stand alone game, but just a teaser in a web banner that would direct people to a site.

I am new to Flash, but I recently downloaded a copy of Flash MX2004 - I was able to successfully create a motion tween. I am having difficulties going beyond that - my ultimate goal is to create a mini flash movie as an intro my website. I would love to make games using Flash MX. I Reffered Kirupas site but found only the basics such as firing mechanism and how to put scores.

How do I put scores when I hit an object ,instead of clicking a button shown in Kirupas site. How do I create a reaction when my bullets hit an object like an enemy ship.I want the enemy ship to blast when I shoot it and also the scores to go up.

How do I put my games in Flash with the '.exe ' extension.

Hi guys,

I have a client who is considering the idea of placing a flash game on their site for the christmas period. Obviously the game needs to be christmasy, and the client is not looking to pay a large sum of money, so a custom built game from scratch is out of the question.

Does anyone know anywhere i can purchase xmas style flash games that my client could use or does anyone here have any high quality christmas games for possible sale?

It would also be helpful if they supply .fla file for the game too, incase minor customisation is neccessary.

I looked in flashkit and some other web sites...

however, until now i wasn't able to get any good .swf game file or documentation.

Multiplayer Flash Games
I am very competant with flash and have created a few single player flash games among other things. I am now looking to expand and i am interested in creating a multiplayer flash game. However i have very little idea how to do this, basically at the moment im looking to create something were users can login and join a room, then from there if there are other people logged in, they can play each other. I also have experience with php and mysql if that is needed for this.

I would be grateful for any tutorials of links anyone could offer, or maybe just any general help.

I've heard that mx 2004 will be a good tool to game developers because it is OOP.

Up to now I couldn't find any game sample where these new features enhance game development in flash.

Is it early or people don't intend to share knowlodge for the AS 2.0 game development?

Making Games With Flash MX
I've been on here for hours on end trying to figure out how to make a flash game. i've looked through all of the tutorials on making games, but it seems like all of the actionscript codes are just for flash 5 and outdated for MX. I can't figure out how to shoot multiple times, how to make more than one enemy, how to do anything but make the character move!!!!
Please if you can tell me what i'm doing wrong...Do it!
