VIEW ALL Action Script In An FLA
I'm working on a Slide Show movie using a php backend and flash front end. I'm nearing finishing the project, and want to copy all the Action Script into a single file for future reference.

Does anyone know a way to "View All" action script within one's FLA file? Having to dig into the timeline and then click on the single object to get the action script for each object is a pain in the butt!

Beginner View In Action Window - How?
Im a beginner in flash and havent used it in about 18 months now. i cant remember how to make the action window in beginner mode.. all there is is the typing place - which i have no idea what to type... i just want the "gotoANDplay();" function to play the next frame and i dont know what to type. Im sure there used to be a beginner view which made this much easier.

Button Action To Download/ View A File?
hi, on my portfolio i have two cv buttons, one to view it in browser, one to download it (.doc). i guess for it to be viewable i have to put it in a html page some how, should i just copy and paste it or can i embed the actual .doc? if so how? also, what do i need to put on my other butoon to allow the user to download the file??

Action Script Question: Where Is The OnRelease Action In The Action Folders
I’m working on a project and I trying to make it when you click down on a button that click will send you to a point in the movie and then a symbol will play from there. I know that you need to pick the key with the button on it in the time line and then I know you need to pick the button that you would like to assign the GoToAndPlay statement on.

But what’s really messing with me is where in the heck the on release or the on mouse down statement is in the little action a book when are looking in the action window.

Any help would be much appreciated.

How can I create a pop up button. Umm... you know, like when I put my mouse over it(without clicking), slowly a menu comes out. And than you are able to choose some more options. I hope you know what I mean.

I have made a starfield movie clip, when i place it in my movie and test the movie or scene it works fine...

the problem is when i publish or export the movie the starfield dissappears and does not show in the movie.

ok I made a site and I want to have a button load a sound by streaming.

I am using flash MX and my actions is as followed:

But when I do it nothing happends

I don't know what it may be when you go the that url the music is there but when i press the button it does not do is streamingly like... if anyone knows what i am doing wrong please help asap!!!

Some Can't View This .swf?
I just got an email from a friend to tried to view my new home page. She says she couldn't view my Flash movie on her computer at work. I'm 99% positive she has Flash player installed on her computer - a PC with a cable connection... I'd assume she's using IE.

This .swf was built in Flash MX. Do you need a very recent player to view movies made in Flash MX? Its only a 12K movie... I don't think its a matter of "if you wait longer, it will come"...

Any suggestions?

Can't View View Jpg's In Aol Only
Hi, I'm testing my site and have no problems viewing dynamically loaded jpg's (via movie clips) in safari, explorer etc. but can't view them in aol. I even went to maromedia site to view some of their showcase sites and saw that any site that had dynamically loaded jpg's were not showing up as well. Any suggestions?

I have attached a swf (flash) file of a web site that i have started and need someone to have a look at it for me. The thing is, when i view this through my browser(s), all the clouds in the header and right sidebar (headphones) seem pixelated!

but the only probleme is that i can't see it when i call the page??

and if i call the flash directly in on my server i see it?

Frame Action To Call Tell Target (rather Than Button Action)?
I really need a frame to Tell Target a movie clip. For some reason, I can't get a Frame Action to work with Tell Target.

I have no problem applying the same Tell Target to a button, however. Am I missing something? Is Tell Target not meant for Frame Actions?

On(rollOver)action + On(release)action + Photo Transition
Okay, I'll try to describe what I want to do and probably just need help putting it together.

I have :

5 black & white photos -- all converted to MC's (bwimage1, bwimage2 etc)
5 color photos (same as b&w) -- all converted to MC's (image1,image2 etc)
5 buttons -- all converted to symbol-buttons (image1_btn, image2_btn etc)

I have the 5 buttons lined up vertically on the left side of the page. I have a spot on the right side of the page where I want the picture to be visible, the black&white version on (rollOver) and the color version on(release).

I know how to make just one of the photos appear on rollover or on release but I don't know how to change the photos from B&W to Color on the actions. I would like a transition between the photos from rollover to release (b&w to color) like a fade.

Any help is appreciated.

Assign Cursor Action To MovieClip Using OnRollOver Action?
Hi all

I have a cool component from FlashLoaded which lets me create brilliant 3d layouts with out much hassle. The componet uses the cursors to zoom in zoom out and pan left and right.

I dont want to have to put an explanation on the site, I would like to put some invisible mc's or buttons on the stage that when the user rolls over them with the mouse it triggers that action.

Is there a simple piece of code i can place on the buttons to make this happen?

Can't View SWF In Netscape 6
I recetly build a site (using Dreamweaver 4.0), and am trying to include a small (Flash 5.0) SWF that links to another page on the site. The SWF is in a layer that is initially hidden during loading while images are preloading. Once everything is loaded, the layer becomes visible, and the SWF should play. This works well in IE4,5,6, and Netscape 4 (I'm not sure about NS5), but in Netscape 6, the SWF is never loaded. It's been driving me crazy to figure out why, but I'm stumped! I'm new to using SWFs in website development, so any help would be greatly appreciated! The address to the site is: http://www.specialvet.com The SWF should appear in the lower left corner of the page once the page is loaded. Thanks so much for any help and/or suggestions!

why would double clicking on a .swf icon make nothing happen? could it be a corrupt player? there also seems to be the same problem with projector files yet the flash program seems to be working fine.

I can't seem how to figure out what to do so that I can view my flash files in Netscape 6. I published the .fla file and created the .swf and .html files. I'm trying to open the .html file in Netscape. Any info would be helpful.

Converted Avi To Swf, Still Can't View
Hi there, I am new to this..I hope someone can give me help. I have converted my avi file to swf format, imported to may outline, but from there i tried inserting on timeline but cant view... I want to add the video after a set of still picutres. I tried embedding as a sprite; but still doesn't seem to work. I really need a beginners tutorial on this....anyone can help? here is a smal introduction to view the fps of your movie.
That's very useful to check where you framerate will broke in.

- Create a new layer in you main sceene.
- Create a movieclip.
(make sure that the movieclip will not interrupt by any other keyframe on the layer)

- Open the new movie and create 2 layers.
- Insert 2 frames on every layer
[ | ]
[ | ]

- In the 1st layer create a dynamic text field.
- Set the VAR: FPSCounter
[O| ]

- In the 2nd layer create 2 keyframes
[O|O]
- Into the 1st keyframe (layer 2) enter the following action script:
PHP Code:

s = getTimer();
if (s - d >= 999){
  FPSCounter = t;
    t = 1;
    d = s;
}else{
    t = t + 1
}

- Into the 2nd keyframe (layer 2) enter the following action script:
PHP Code:

t = t + 1

Thats all.

Now you can check your real FPS in you movie.
I think it's time for Macromedia to insert FPS on stage or add a new function to view the CPU extent of utilization.

360 Product View
I know how to do just the basic and move around comfortably in FlashMX. And I think I'm ready for intermediate level. I always wonder how someone can produce a 360 degree view of a specific product for flash. For example, http://www.garmin.com/products/iQue3600/# then click on 360 product view. I like the click and drag of the graphics and rotate it left or right. Does anyone know if there is an example tutorial or an .fla file that I can get my hand on for some self taught? I'm not sure what word to search flaskit for to see if on the post someone may already asked this question.
