Okay, I got two questions concerning Flash Music Players.

1) Is it possible to implement an equalizer, like Winamp's, into a Flash Media Player, if so where can I find a tutorials on how to put this in a Flash Music Player.

2) In Music Players there are a set of vertical bars that rise based on the beat or volume or lower while music is playing, out of all the Flash Music players I looked at all of them were just animations that looped for looks. How can I put this into a Flash Music Player realisticly?

I suspect they're some kind of pre-made music player built into flash... like the new video player that came out with flash 8 and all the other macromedia V8 stuff.

Since I lack the Flash 8 app, I cannot check this out. Can anyone confirm/tell me what they actually are and how I can get/make one?

Multiple Flash Music Players On Single HTML Page
I have created an HTML page that has multiple Flash-based music players. These music players are very simple, containing Play, Pause, and Stop buttons. Each music player is linked to its own external MP3 file which it streams.

All the players work fine, but my problem is this - when a MP3 is playing and I hit the Play button of another music player, the second MP3 plays on top of the first one. So the two songs are both playing. Is there a way (perhaps using JavaScript and ActionScript?) that I can get all sounds to stop playing from all the other separate SWF music players when I hit Play on any given player?

Since the players are all separate files, the stopAllSounds(); function doesn't work. I hope I made sense explaining my situation. I'm new to this forum (just signed up). But if anybody can help me, I'd REALLY appreciate it.

Pre-made "music Players"?
hey,

where can i find pre-made "music players"? I'm just looking for something with a "play" "stop" "next song" "previous song" button and a volume control bar.

I have lots of songs. Is there a place i can find a per-made player, with all the A/S and everything, so all i have to do is put in my songs.

DVD Players Vs AVI
I tried that just yesterday.... I mean, I made an VCD by exporting my fla.file as an AVI and then burned it on a CD-ROM and put it into my DVD-player. Worked fine. Except from this little detail. Some of the picture that was supposed to go on the right, somehow showed up at the left???? Do any of you guys know if there's a predefined resolution or if it's just because my screen is wide-screen? And another problem I'd like to hear about if others experienced this: Movieclips on the scene doesen't move in an animated mode... it only scrolls. Therefore I had to re-animate some of my, premade movieclips. I had to animate everything frame, by frame!

hello,
i've been developing flash websites on my G5 imac, and for some reason when i play them in either safari or explorer, they usually tend to be on the choppy side, even with a preloader and ultra high speed connection. I have always noticed a significant difference in speed and fluidity between the player in flash and testing it in a browser, but, i recently i tried them out on an oldish dell desktop with dial up connection and to my surprise found it to be considerebly quicker and smoother than even within the flash player.
is there some plugin missing i am missing for my flash player, or am i going about making my sites the wrong way.
heres an example of my own site http://www.ckwebsolutions.com , which works consderably better on pcs than on macs.

I can program the movement of a character, I can make excellent graphics being a graphics designer for a year, but I have encountered an embarrassing problem. Its a simple one too. I simply need a user to be able to enter the name they want for their character, click a button and make the name appear in a dynamic text box. The variable name of the dynamic text box is "name" and the variable of the input box is "entername".

Please help me.

Hi there,

I am playing around with the NETstream and FLV possibilities with progressive download and with flash player 7.

I am using the HELP files from the flash program, to learn about it.
But i am stuck in trying to get the flv to act like a QT player.
What i want to learn, is the way the QT player acts when it shows progressive download movies. It looks at the users connection/ download speed and figures out how much it needs to download so that it can play the movie without interruptions.

How can i do the same thing in Flash with the flv file and NETstream.

Can anybody help me-
I've tried using the flashtrak players on sites that I'm building but have run into a wall. Every time I replace the data.swf file with another one I've built holding my music, it won't work.

I've noticed that the data.swf file that comes with the players doesn't engage (play the music) when I open it --so it's my opinion that the music is in the 2nd frame----but I can't see the code to find out how to make mine the same way-this is driving me crazy-

Any suggestions????

Discrepencies Between Players/FS
Hello. My question concerns differences I'm seeing between the Flash 5 and Flash 6 players. I developed a FLA for a banner in Flash 5, but when I viewed with a Flash 6 player it appeared to be playing way too fast. To correct the situation, I set the frame rate to 10 FPS from the original 20. Now when it is viewed on a Flash 5 player it appears to be playing way too slow. I need to find consistency no matter what player is being used. Is this impossible? Also, I was wondering why this banner is able to be resized when dropped into an Explorer browser window, even though I added "false" fs commands for allowscale and fullscreen. What's up with that? I'd appreciate any help that I can get. Thanks in advance!

I stuck somewhere in the middle here. Most of the tutorials I have found on here have been a huge help and really accelerated the learning curve for me, but I can't find a tute on building a flashtrak player.

I like most that I found here but I want to build an original because almost everything on the site I'm building is original artwork and flash.

This is one of, if not the best site for info, tutes and ideas that I have come across(and I've checked a lot of them)

Players Problem
I want to make a 2 plyr game.
The first player seems to go ok.
But when I made a copy of the plyr1’s code to player2 and changed a fer of the code it doesn’t work.

The problems:
When I press left or right player 2 starts going left.
I can fix the stop animation problem.
If I press any key the player 2 starts going.

Also in the punch animation I did this in the last frame:

Witch is suppose to make the player stand after a punch but instead the punch starts over again.
Andplayer1 doesn’t attacks when I press DOWN.

I'm a newbie in flash, and in action script... And I need help to fix a problem...

I have 5 independents players that plays differents musics... side by side... If I press the play button on player 1, it starts to play the song, and everyting is right. But, if I "forget" to press stop in player 1, and press play on player 2, it start to play and the player 1 don't stop playing. So that is my problem... I need to do something to stop player 1 if the player 2 starts to play.

How can I do that?????

There is any code that can say something like that "if click play in other player, stop this one"?

Two Players On One Keyboard
Hi,

I have a top-down tank game where two players each control a tank. The only thing is, I am stuck on the best way to send keyboard commands to the individual tanks.
Right now, I plan to have a function to recieve each set of commands (player one movement, player two movement, and so forth), and refer back to an array holding both tanks. My question is, how to I get the function that actually moves the tanks to refer to the tank that is calling it? I hope any of that makes sense.

hi all this may sound strange but i think anther way to make quizes
what i trying to do have 4 player do the same quiz in the same time there is sa shuffler that shuffler who will go first and sceond and third and fourth
4 choice for one question is display the player choose what the think is the correct answer .....
i did not complete the quiz i had deffeculty counting the scores for each player .

For those that managed to miss it, Adobe released new minor versions of the players last Monday.
I strongly urge everybody who have a lower version than 9.0.47 to upgrade as soon as possible, since earlier versions contains a known vulnerability.
New features includes some new codes and multi core support. The full change list is avalible for those who want to read it.

Prebuilt Flv Players?
I'm looking for a prebuilt flv player that will display a chapters list and
expand to full screen. Something similar to

I am brand spanking new to using Adobe Flash, and know nothing about Action Script. I'm working on a flash website for a radio station, and would like to use four buttons, each one corresponding to a particular media player, which, when clicked will load the radio stream in the proper program. also, click careers and then video profiles - the video is so crisp and plays very fast plus the play/pause buttons are totally different than the ones in flash - can those be changed to whatever i want ? and how does the video play so fast ? flash 8 i assume..

Problems With Mp3 Players
hi,I have 3 players in my page and I experience some problems:
If one player is playing and I press play in another one,the new one starts playing but the progress bar in the first keeps moving and when it gets to the end,all the sounds are off.I tried to find the stopAllSounds action but I couldn´t,I dunno if there´s another way.So I have to press Stop in one player in order to play another one.
