My Flash Alignment

When I published my flash and ran the file it was on the left hand side. How can I make sure the flash is in the center?

Also

Any special way I should load this in to the PHP site?

hi there,

does anyone know how to align certain elements within a browser window so that for instance...

MOVIECLIP A is situated bottom right
MOVIECLIP B is situated bottom left

but when you resize the window the elememnts move in respect of it ??
(eg. getting closer or futher apart)

you can see what i mean by goin to
www.sawmovie.com and resizing the
browser window...

done by the great hi-res.net..

if anyone can give me some pointers
on how to do this it would be great...

[CS3] Flash Alignment
Hi Folks,
I am testing my movie on the web and have had a weird thing happen. While testing I noticed that the flash page is not flush with the top of the window, leaving a small border on the top. I have played around with the publish settings and still get the same thing. Can someone see what the problems is.

Flash Alignment Problems
I have a JPG header image on a site I'm working on that is 760px wide and 174px high. See attachement of example. The header slice image (outlined in yellow) is horizontally aligned with the menu, but if I import that image into Flash and add some text tweening and export it with the same width of 760x174 it won't align with the menu below it. It is off to the right by about 2px. I don't know what is wrong. The table is exactly 760px wide also. I made sure the stage is also 760x174 and aligned with the instance of the image.

Alignment Problems In Flash, Help Please
I have a background image of size 295x185 pixels in my flash movie of the same size, the image in question is at x: 0 and y: 0 position, however when I export the movie and put it in a html doc it is not aligned with the images I have surrounding it, it looks like a very small mismatch

i have all this images and the flash movie in tables, but all padding and margins are set to 0px;

when I offset the background image to the position of x: -0.3 and y: 0 it seems to be somewhat aligned when exported, but not perfectly

I export the movie with 100% jpeg quality and without compression, but this does not seem to be solving the problem

It's basically driving me crazy, so if there is anybody with a solution proposition, please help

[F8] Flash Video Alignment?
Hey,

I'm somewhat new to flash and recently ran into a problem with my most recent website.

www.earlhaig.ca/zoom

The problem is that the website appears in the upper-left corner of the page, when I want it to appear in the center. I tried changing the alignment under publish settings but failed. I also then tried putting it into dreamweaver but couldn't figure that one out.

Any solutions?

Flash Swf Alignment In HTML
I have seen some site where there is an HTML border and flash in the center.
My question is how does one align is so perfectly?

I have used Front page to try and align the swf.
I have tried using frames, but the swf wont fully go to the top nor the sides of the center frame.

I know a little html, but apparently not enough to solve this problem
...
I am 1st under the impression that for these style of site they design a bg in photoshop and then put the swf over it?

Image Alignment In FLASH
Hi Buddy,

I want to display an image in to a Dynamic TextField in flash (mx 2004).
Image path i am getting from XML file. But in the following manner
..(one of the attribute in XML file)

I am getting image in to the desired textfield but its getting left aligned or right aligned but not CENTER

I have tried adding one tag in to IMG src tag also
<IMG src='img.jpg' width='100' height='100' align='middle'>

But didnt work..please help ..any suggessions on to this one,,

I cannot keep my textfield at the center of the stage, but its width is similar to the stage width. In the above example: in the content attribute
I have just shown the image tag but actually there is lot of TEXT in it also. Not shown here.

i was wondering how "relative alignment" such as on the
easybit-site www.easybit.it (take the window and resize it) is done???

all objects on the stage are postioned always relative to the
actual window-size without losing quality, but how???

please help me, i've no clue....i even can't sleep at night :-(

I want to align my swf inside the html page on the left side with no margins , i tried many different way but no luck, the problem is that my swf has a pic that is all the way to the left and when i see in the html there's a little pace on the left side and it doesn't look good.

HTML Alignment With Flash
Hello, how can I align my .swf so the top of my Flash file touches the top of the browser window? After I publish the Flash file and view it in a browser, there is about a 20 pixels gap between the top of my .swf and the top of the browser window. Any thoughts?

Flash HTML Alignment
Ok had a problem with Dreamweaver not liking my dinamic text in my swf movie within a DW HTML page. Anyway decided to use the HTML page create by Flash with the publish command.

So now all the dinamic text loads ok the only problem is the swf file in the HTML page generated by the publish command does not align correctly (always to the left in the browser) even when I choose align centre or browser defalt the swf file is always is left of the centre of the web page.

Any idea how to sort this out?

I'm not sure if this an issue w/ the HTML or the flash component I inserted.

you'll notice a space between my flash nav header and the gif line underneath.  I need to get that butted up together.  Any ideas?

can i get it so the stage of the swf is always in the middle of the html and the outside of the stage fills the rest of the screen? so if you have a higher resolution then you will see more of the flash movie.

okay..

i have two swf's, one is used as the background that is resizable
in the browser window... eg its fits the window based on
percent...

basically i need the top swf to always align to the
right side of the browser when its re-sized...

Alignment Within Flash Mx Vs. The Published Version
somewhere between pre- and post- publish, my images in flash MX get mangled

it either doesn't line up correctly or its "smashed". refer to the image for reference.

left side = screenshot of flash movie canvas
right side = screenshot of published HTML file

the loaded PNGs are not on half pixels.
the movie quality is set to 100% / best

im stumped and very bummed

For hoizontal alighnment I'm just using:

Flash File Netscape Alignment
Hello everyone,
I am having a problem importing a flash movie and aligning perfectly in both browsers. It seems as though netscape is moving the flash file down and to the right 1 pixel whereas IE displays the flash file perfectly. Can anyone shed some light onto this mystery?

I have a dynamic text field that is loading data from an XML file. I am trying to display the following:

I want this text to be displayed as follows:

What I get is:

Using
for a new line works when I set a variables text within flash, but it does not work when flash loads a variable from XML.

Example:

Is there something I can do that is similar to
that will give me one new line at a time. Every Carriage Return entered in the XML node displays two new lines for the output.

I would use the <li> tag and set the text fields to accept HTML, but that does not seem to work with embedded characters. If the characters are embedded the text field does not fade in and fade out. WHAT CAN I DO TO ACHEIVE THIS FROM XML?????

Flash - Dreamweaver Frame Alignment
I cant seem to align my flash correctly in Dreamweaver. Trying to make it go all the way to the top of a frame, but it keeps a small border between the flash object and the frame above. I have tried the alignment feature in Dreamweaver, adjusted the frame along w/ my flash's dimensions.

Flash Player 6 And Image Alignment
Hi,

Making a banner. When i export it for flash player 7 it looks and runs absolutely fine. When i export it for flash player 6 the images are slightly out of alignment and it seems the left and top edges have become slightly distorted.

Has anyone any idea how to fix this?

Full Browser Flash Alignment
Hello,

I'm working on a full browser flash site with no scaling. I know that I can use <PARAM NAME=salign VALUE=LT> to align the site to the top left, but how do I align it to the absolute center so that if I have my file set to a size of 1024 x 768, those with a resolution of 800 x 600 will have it scaled in such a way that all of my content, which is in the center, will stay in the center?

Flash Movie Vertical Alignment Off 1px
I have a flash movie that needs to blend in with a jpeg next to it, and the flash movie is about a pixel too low and it might be a pixel too much to the left. The fla file has all x and y axis are perfect and the images used are perfect. I have viewed in both safari and firefox and both have the same issue.
Any ideas what is going on?

Publish Settings; Flash Alignment
I am finally ready to publish my web site, (770x650 px) and would like it to come up centered on the screen rather than aligned with the left edge. I go to publish settings and select "center" under flash alignment, and "default" under html alignment. The html alignment seems to make a difference to the location on the screen (top, bottom, right, or left), but it has no selection for center. How can I accomplish this?

Hi, i am trying to align my flash movie in the very center of dreamweaver, i have put it in a table and centred that and put the height to 100%, this has centred it horizontaly but not vertically. Can anyone help. thanks

Text Alignment Within Textbox [Flash 8]
Is it possible to vertically align text within a textbox? I have a movieclip that consists of a single dynamic textbox set for multiline. Some of the instances of that movieclip will have one line of text, others will have two. For the ones that have one line, I would like the text to align vertically within the textbox. All of these movieclips end up getting rotated 90 degrees to become labels at the top of a chart and it looks bad when the single-line text isn't centered.

If this isn't possible, is there a way to auto-size the box height so I could use AS to retrieve that height then move the movieclip appropriately?

Alignment Problems From Fireworks To Flash....
*Im using FLASH 8. Can A Moderator Movie This To The Appropriate Channel?*

I have a logo that I created in Fireworks 8.

When I copy and paste it into Flash to use in a Flash movie some of the objects move out of alignment. Does anyone know why?

If I copy and paste the whole object then as soon as I paste, the alignment problem appears. If I copy and paste the objects separately and then align them on the Flash stage, the alignment problem only appears once I test the movie.

Can anyone tell me whats going on? Or better yet, tell me how to fix it?

Flash Center Alignment Problem
Hi Friends.....

I've got some nasty problem....

I've designed a flash gallery kind of swf. I am aligning all my internal asset to topleft on stage dynamically and by calculating diff i m making my main MC stay there in center of the stage, whatever the stage size be. And i m stratching my background object made in flash vector to the stage size.

Now in my main mc i m scrolling inside mc on mouse movement and its working fine when i play there in flash player stand alone and mc moves as per whatever x & y coordinates i have given, its also run fine if i maximise the player window.

But when i put my this swf file in to browser and give it 100% H & W its not working fine as per my given x & y cordinates. My main container movie clip remains there in center but the inside movie click scrolling starts from the very left of the browser page.

I dont know how to figure out this issue. Plz help

Ok, I'm trying to figure out how to set alignment of movie clips on a scalable site.

I am currently using this code to center MC width

ActionScript Code:

This to align a movie clip 20 pixels from the right of where I place it on the stage

I'd like to know how to do this:
- Align MC to right side of page on resize
- Align MC to left side of page on resize
- Align MC to bottom of page on resize
- Align MC to a % (like 20% from the left side, right side, or top of page on resize

Flash/html Frame Alignment Issue?

The above site consists of 3 html frames. When viewed on a mac all the frames align perfectly but on a pc (windows 98 and XP) using internet explorer the top from with the flash menu (uprizer.swf) and the left bottom frame with the (left_side.swf) don't align????? The bottom swf are one pixel off to the left? Are tried to do the index.html in both dreamweaver and Go-live but the result is the same?

Any help will be greatly appreciated......

Flash Alignment Problem On Different Screen Resolutions
Hello,

I have designed website in respect of screen resolution of 1024*768 pixels and it is looking proper with the screen resolution.

But when I see that websites in higher resolutions like 1152 * 864 pixels or more higher resolutions then all flash objects are left aligned. I have put flash in div tag as transparent flash on background image.

Can anybody please help me in this matter by suggesting proper solution to resolve this issue?

How Do I...Do Absolute Center Alignment For A Flash Document In Dreamweaver?
I'm trying to get my flash document in the absolute middle of the page, meaning in the middle horizontally and vertically. I'm working in Flash 8, and the publish settings are set to middle alignment vertically and horizontally, but the problem is that once I bring it into Dreamweaver to upload, when I view it in a browser, the Flash doc sits at the top middle of the page, rather than the center.

Pretty simple question, help!

I need help. I have a swf that has a tiled bmp background, a movieclip (main) with all the content (except the loader movieclip) that is automatically centered on the stage at browser resize (using Math.floor() for pixel alignment). The SWF is 100% high and wide so it fills the browser, I'm using FlashScaler to show scrollbars in the browser when needed.

My problem is that when the swf loads in the browser, the loader movieclip and the main movieclip do not center on the stage of the swf until the browser window is resized manually.

On the timeline I have an actions layer with the following code:

How do I align objects? What I mean is, I have 4 separate text items and would like to align them (left) without doing it manually?

Swf Alignment
Is there anyway to get an SWF to fit exactly (no margins) into an html page? The only way I have been able to do this is to place the SWF into a layer. Otherwise I can get it to fit with a approx. 1/8 inch margin. Should I be happy with this? I really want an exact fit.

OK let's say my movie is in 500 by 500 pixels and let's say I have a text box 200 by 200 pixels. When I go to align the text I have in the text box that is 200 by 200 pixels how can I use the alignment buttons without it a aligning 500 by 500 and just the 200 by 200?

i've got an html page which holds my swf file. i've managed to get the swf to be centred from left to right, but what i want to do is get it centred from top to bottom too. i just want the swf to sit in the absolute centre of the html page i.e. halfway between the left and right, and halfway between the top and the bottom. can anyone give me any clues what i need to do with the html? i've tried a few things.....

I'm placing a graphic on the stage and when I test the movie it is off by one pixel down and to the left. I manually reset the graphic and it's misaligned on the stage, but then it looks correct in the tested movie.

I created the background and the graphic in the same document, so they are on the same size stage.

What is going on?

i just finished making my flash site and aligned it in the center of my html page, but i noticed that the size doesn't adjust when i change the size of my web browser. can someone tell me what i have to add to my source for it to be automatically adjusted? here is a example how it should look like.
