Render Out MOV's With Flash
Hey everyone, I was wondering what it would take to render out my flash movies as QuickTime .mov's. When I try to do it, it tells me that it's only for Flash 5 Players, so I changed the flash settings in the Publish menu to Flash 5, and then when I tried it again, it says "An error occured because a required QuickTime component could not be found." Does anyone know what I would need to get this to work?

Flash Shuts Down On Me After Render
i got a problem here..... i've done a flash animation, i try to render, near the end, FLash MX just shuts down with no notice! WHY IS THIS. its driving me crazy.. please help. it sounds like some kind of bug in my program. this never used to happen before>?!

Render Flash In OpenGL?
Hello, I am coding an application that display 3d scenes using Open GL on windows platform, an what I would like to know is if it is possible to render flash movies into a bitmap picture, a Device Context or into an OpenGL texture (pbuffer, etc.) so it would be possible to actually display the flash movie into the 3D scene.
If not, is there any kind of workaround that would allow me in some way to do a such thing?

Anyone here who knows how to work with HTML tables in Flash, I think there are some components developed by using XML and Flash Action Scripting.
Initially i requires the following functionality from HTML tables:
(1) Support for percentage widths on tables

Flash Can't Properly Render Fonts
Hello!
I design my website layouts in Flash, before I pass them over as PNG images to my programmers who chop them up and turn them into HTML and CSS. I prefer Flash over Photoshop because it is so darn easy to draw pixels, move them around and organize them.
Anyway I was wondering why standard fonts like Arial and Verdana, when used without anti-aliasing -- to simulate the look and feel of a website viewed through a browser -- appear so messed up ki n da l i ke t hi s. It depends on what I write ofcourse, like what combinations of letters, but I've seen messed up kerning in most sizes, 10, 11, 12, 13 and so on, whether regular, bold or italic. Sometimes even parts of the letters get cut out.
It leaves me no choice but to break up the text and manually position its letters. So if I'd be designing, say, a Conditions of Use page, I'd be stuck for hours doing work I shouldn't have to be doing, just because I want to get things all nice and perfect.
Why does it have to be like that, when it's working just fine in Photoshop?

Now, I'd be happy to use anti-aliasing if Flash only knew how to do it properly like Firefox, check this example. I guess Photoshop ain't far from it either so why can't Adobe go merge some code or something?

Flash Button Text Won't Render
Developing in Dreamweaver MX 2004, I innocently clicked Insert > Media > Flash button. In the button editor, I entered my text, "Autos," and chose Verdana as the font. So far, cool. I uploaded my freshly minted button to my webserver and refreshed the page to see the effects. The button shows up and the effect associated with the mouseover event plays, but the text won't render. It's just the square boxes you get when the comp doesn't know how to render the font chosen. Now, Verdana is pretty damn common. I've even tried it in Arial. No luck.
I've browsed to the file on the web server and opened the swf file in question, and sure enough the text is there for all to see (and read!). So, there must be something weird going on with IE, right?

Flash Player Render Problem (maybe)
This is a bug i happened to face, in more then an application, only with Mac Os and not in windows (in both the cases, i tested the application in more then a computer). The problem appears while i'm moving, via Tween (caurina or TweenLite) or via a stage resize (Event.RESIZE) handler function a MovieClip (MC_box.MC_square) nested in an upper-level MovieClip (MC_box) structured in two layers, where the higher is the clip i'm moving that covers the other nested movieclip, and the lower is a mc container (MC_box.MC_container) containing in itself a big bitmap or vectorial illustration.
In several cases, during the movement, the image appears very disturbed and, sometimes, the disturb remains fixed in the screen also completed the movement operation.
Such a problem already happened to me in previous projects: in that cases i solved the problem lightening the the image or the vectorial more as possible.

JS Popups Render Underneath Flash Content
When mouseover incites the popup (DW MX code), it renders underneath the flash content located below.
In essence, the flash content "covers up" the popup. This, as you can imagine, is very bad.
I know this has something to do with div layers, Z-indexes, etc - and I'm sure the answer is much more simple than I can imagine - but in either and any case, I can't figure it out.
Anyone? Help? Please?

Flash Dynamic Html Text Render Bug...
hi!
i am working on a cd-rom presentation in flash which incorporates a lot of html layouted text fields.
no the biggest problem seems to be render bug:
i have a menu where on rollover a movieclip containing a html formatted textfield is popping up.
every time it gets displayed, the font renders differently sometimes leaving ghost charachters on the screen after the rollout hides it again, sometimes some characters at the end or the beginning of the phrases do not get rendered at all ...
can anyone help me with this ?

Color Numbers...do They Render Differently In Flash?
Hi Flashkit!
I've been having a problem that I'm hoping you can help me with. I'm working with a graphic designer (btw, she's working on a Mac and I'm on a PC) She gave the six digit color numbers to use for the stage and some elements and I used those exact numbers but she is claiming that they appear differently on her computer.
Am I doing something wrong? Please help!

How Does Flash Render TextFields, Bitmap Or Vector

Just wondering if anyone knows if Flash8+ render textFields as bitmaps or vecters when you choose the dif anti-aliasing settings. I'm doing some heavy animation with letters and am trying to figure out ways to optimize the performance. Been using cacheAsBitmap, but it appears to slow down the performance.

Flash MX And My Software Please Help Me?

I am using my brothers Flash MX and i also have Flash MX Server. Ok basically what i need is help on creating a chat using Flash MX and FLASH MX Server?
I want to be able to load the flash Mx server and when loaded onto my machine people can login to a chat that is using the Fllash mx server and if the MX server isnt running the chat cannot be loaded like chatspace where the server can be run on a machine then users can connect to it and login to the chat?
Please help any tutorials on this or how to do it i seen a post a few days ago with someone saying that Flash mx server can do what chatspace can do is this true please help

3D -> Software? -> Flash 5
Hello everyone,
I have a problem with Flash 5 and Cinema 4D.
I made a "little man" in Cinema 4D from Maxon and i cant realize
what to do to put him in my Flash project.
The "man" is made with effects 2D...looks like a cartoon but this Cinema 4D don't teach me how to export it so i can import in Flash.
DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO DO THIS WITH CINEMA 4D?
Ps: 3D Max is too much for me and that's why i use C4D!

Best 3D Software For Flash MX
HI
I would like people's opinion on which 3D software application they find the best to use with Flash. I learned Maxon's Cinema 4D, but I see a lot of people use 3D Studio Max or Swift 3D. Cinema 4D is pretty powerful for creating organic structures (which is what I do) - can anyone tell me how the others compare?

I just bought Trendyflash, in the hope I might be able to make a cool webpage or two.
I've had a go, made stuff I like, and then came to publish it.
It's fine to publish to CD, with an exe.
But nothing happens when it is published to web.
I just get a little intro type animation of eight little squares.
I've been hunting around all day looking for an answer. Interestingly, I found some page someone else had made with Trendyflash, and again.. all I saw was the same silly little animation.
Makes me wonder if the problem is my browser? (IE6)
Im all up to date with the windows downloads, and I checked that I DO have flash player loaded (I even uninstalled and installed like they suggest).
Shockwave too.
My security is ticked to accept signed, safe active x.
(You see Ive been picking up all the possibilities!)
Microsoft VM is set to high. I dont know what it is or even if it is connected.

3D Software With Flash
Hi,
I hope to design a 3D room that the user can move around via the mouse. They will have the ability to interact with elements in the animation, for example click a book on a coffee table and it will link to a website promoting the book.
I would like to build the 3D room with still images.

We are working on a new Flash localization software. It allows you to translate SWF files into foreign languages in two different ways. The software hides all complexity associated with Unicode from the user. Everything is done outside of Flash and you don't even need to have Flash installed.
We have tested it with a number of European languages (English, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Greek) and non-European languages (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic), and would like to test it in the "real world".
Do you know anyone who does international Flash development and could be interested in joining our pre-release (beta) testing program?

guys I'm a newbie when it comes to Flash so please help me out here. Flash 5 For Software Simulations
Hello,
I am a relatively new Flash user and it looks like I'll be jumping in head first with my first project. It is an e-Learning course, one part of which will be a simulation of our performance appraisal software. Because the Flash piece will be housed within our frameset in Dreamweaver, we have some significant limitations for the size of the stage.
So, on to the barrage of questions:
Any suggestions on the best tool for screen captures?
What image format would be the most readable in Flash?
Any specific graphical editing techniques you can suggest for
readability?
What should I keep in mind when developing for computers set to
differing resolutions?
Can anything be done in Flash to optimize the graphics quality, but
keep movie size minimal?
