Online Payment Processing
Hi All,

I have searched the forums and not found the answer to my question ... so i thought i'd ask it direct.

I am trying to setup payment processing on my site but i don't want to use paypal because my customers have to leave the site to complete payment. I am looking for a way to have the processing stay completely within the flash site and make the process seamless for my customers.

Does anyone out there know how to do this and be able to offer me assistance?

[advice] Flash & Online Payment Services
Ok guys, i got a project were i have to develop a flash website that will allow the user to design the product, using different parameters. Then, based on his selection a code and price will be calculated. So far no problem. But the client wants to allow the user to buy that online using his credit card. Not a shopping cart but just a 'buy' button.

The problem is that, all the companies i checked that offer this service, like Paypal for example, force you to pre-set the price and product type when you register. And also require that the customer has a membership with them.

What i want is to charge the customer with the price that he got when he designed his product with the flash site.

Is this possible in any way, or do you have any other ideas on how to do this work?

ECommerce; Secure Payment; Credit Card Payment ...
Hello,

I would like to implement an ecommerce system on a Flash site.
Knowing nothing about that, I’m coming to you.

I mean I know how to do my ‘shopping cart’ interface (including some PHP scripts, if needed). But what I do not know is about the secure payment and online credit card payment.
I have heard about ‘PayPal’. Is that just an eCommerce account where I have to send the information coming from my Shopping Cart interface ?

For sure I still searching information on the internet by myself, but if some people here have some advices or explanations on how it works, it would be really appreciate.

Hi,

Just a simple question a friend asked me, and I thought this would be a good place to get an answer... This friend of mine is a Flash developer... but mostly worked for local firms and stuff, He asked me about ways in which you can effectively recieve payment from international clients, who don't deal in your currency, especially when the banks which work in that country don't have branches in yours? Credit cards arn't good for paying biggy sums...

I suggested that corrier services(registered post) might be a solution... but any ideas?

CC Payment Through Flash
Does anyone have experience of this? We need to make an online payment for something and the vendor has provided us with a link to a Flash applet which will take our CC details.

It's hosted on an http server rather than https.

Registration And Paypal Payment
Hey all,

My situation: I think I've bitten off more than I can chew.

In the process of making a flash site for a company that organizes city tours coordinated with hockey games (Canucks).

He wants people to be able to register and pay via paypal for a tour, which would then be booked (set in a database).

I have no idea how to do this! I could probably get the registration and booking part down, but how would I use paypal's system:

i.e., a registered user on the site with email abc@123.com could easily pay using paypal with an account email of cba@321.com - and I would have no way of tracking that.

Help With Action Script With Payment Offer

I am not sure if I am allowed to offer this so sorry if I am not but I am having problems upgrading my flash action script for some message boards I made to flash player 7 (see http://www.rabidlemming.com/Forum/Flash.html) as it’s beyond my expertise. Loading Vars Into Payment Gateway XML/PHP
I have an order form and want 2 of the users input values to show up in the textboxes on the payment form.

dynamic textbox, variable: customer_name
dynamic textbox, variable: total_price

The php script is attached and the linkage areas markes in red, the amount and customer name.

Is someone able to paste the Actionscript for loading and sending the variables to the php form and then loading up that payment php form in a NEW window for the customer to enter the remaining details. And to also customise the php script to allow the price and customer name variables to be shown in their appropriate textboxes.

Another issue is this error..

Flash And Payment Gateway Integration
I'm trying to look into integrating a flash shopping cart/full flash site, with a payment gateway like Authorize.net.

anyone have any experience doing this? I've been looking at the authorize.net documentation...

is it possible to interact with the gateway without any server-side code?

any snags or advice i should know about (especially concerning authorize.net)?

I am currently editing a film and need an opening sequence for my production company.

The logo for my production company has already been created - but I need an opening sequence which will produce this logo in an interesting manner...

Payment Processing Service On By Bookstore's Website
I want the users to be able to register, enter ther credit card number and purchase stuff thorugh my website. I know that for user registration I can use some sort of database. For the payment services I probably need some links to the second party website.

Could you give me a general idea of how such things are being done. How do you implement user's database, shopping cart, and payment system.

Timed Video Chat Session With "credit" Payment System
hey guys,

I'm setting up a site that is structured much like an online dating service. The user purchases credits and is able to use them to engage in a video chat with another user.

Now, the site is html based but, when a user chooses to enter into a video chat session, he submits his credits and is directed to another html page that contains the video and chat areas as flash movie (connected to a flash communication server).

Once time runs out, an html message window would pop up asking if the user wants to continue the session (for additional credits) or if they would like to end it. If they continue, they submit more credits and continue chatting. If they choose to end the session, they are directed back to another html page.

In other words, most of the programming is done within the html/asp code. I'd like to keep the flashcomm programming to a miniumum.

I'm not the most advanced-level programmer so I need to know the simplest way to do this. Am I on the right track?

Paypal's "website Payment Pro"
Has anyone had any experience with paypal's "website payments pro" plan. I have done alot of searching but cant seem to find any info on wether or not you can have paypal process credit cards invisibly within a flash site. Does anybody know anything about this?
Or would you have to need to have your "checkout" take you to an external html page where the transactions takes place. And if this is the case would a standard shopping cart like "flashkart" work in this fashion.

hey there!
hope someone can help me with this: i have a rotating navigation (buttons ar following a path) and if i click one button it should be marked with grey color. to do this i put the button into a clip, with two keyframes. the first "1" is normal colored, the secound "2" is grey.
when i press a button, it sets a variable "status" and this variable says what text or pic should appear in main area. for example: 3 = design dienstleistung
so i wanted to control over the variable the button color, which i tried with this script (laying in the clip, clip path is _root.navi.prodmarker)

that works with on of six buttons, but not with the rest!??

Okay, easy guy.

If you put the scrollable area into an own movieclip you can use the getProperty() Function to get the movie width and height. So you can calculate if the scroller even apprears or not...

I used this too, but for a dynamic table. I duplicated a temporary row so many times I needed it and after that I got the width of the movie containing these rows.

I hope you understand what I mean.

Help Need A Solution
Hi all,

I have a problem where i am asked to create a flip book with pages and the ability to zoomin and zoomout. I tried writing a script where on (release) the values of _xscale and _yscale would change but the problem i am getting is that once you flip to another page (frames), it doesn't not inherit the last action applied to it so it goes back to it's default size.

does anyone know how i can create something like this on a global scale so no matter what frame you are on, it'll look for these values and stay there until otherwise?

Hi, I am doing a flash project. In that project for security issue i just want to protect my flash swf files for reusing by someone. I couldn’t make it as a single file beca it’s a big project. so i am making 10 to 15 swf file and that all swf called by a single swf.

If i upload this project, it might be editable. Anyone can decompile it and reuse my illustrations...!!! So I want to avoid my files to be reused by someone

I saw a project. It was fully protected. i couldn’t find a single swf in that folder. I wonder those used files has extensions like .dxt and .x32.. I really don’t know which software has used.

I Need A Solution
I have a New Sony Handycam and I would like to use the software that came with the camera. When I hook up the USB cable a error message comes on the screen stating that this program needs "Macromedia Flash Player to run" I have downloaded the newest version of Adobe Flash Player to my computer and the same error message keeps coming back.

How can I solve this issue so that a program can find the Flash Player. I believe that Flash Player only gets loaded into my Internet Explorer Browser and therefore is not available to any other part of my system

I'm working on a good-sized community site with site designing services. And I hope to release it to the public on christmas eve. To show the examples in my portfolio I was thinking of doing a mouse-scroll through gallery, but I have seen a effect on a site (can't remember where). As the mouse goes over that particular site the user wants to view, the site grows to a larger size and is in full effect. as if it was a site inside of a site, except when you click it, it opens a new window and takes u to that site. I don't think i would go that far, but I can't seem to figure out how to create the mouse-scroll effect going horizontal direction. Any comments, and suggestions will be helpful, thank you!

I have a strange problem here. FYI, i have several flash projects and this is my first time having this problem. By the way, i'm newbie. The problem goes like this...i put a loadMovie script on a single-keyframed timeline with a few layers. As for the loadmovie script, i type: loadMovie ("filename.swf". "variable");. Before, i have a stop Action. Then, i create a blank mc with an instance and put it on a stage. The problem here is the swf file that im trying to load is failed. This is kind of easiest stuff to do but now it has dragged me 4 hours to solve this problem.

So guys, is there any possibilities that cause this error? In fact, i have few more inside this same task but this is the only screwed. Hope someone will answer this.

Help No One Else Has A Solution.
I have a dynamic txt frame in my main swf. When buttons are selected, text from an external txt file loads into the text frame. This all works fine.

What I would like to do is be able to load an external swf containing a menu system in a scroll pane into an empty MC and then be able to dictate what the buttons on the external swf do (such as load text).

The below path is my attempt to access the button "sad" in the external SWF.

"first" is the empty MC on _root
"noiseaudio" is the external swf (noiseaudio.swf)

Are These Limitations? Or Is There Any Solution?
I'm passing some string in HTML format to a textfield in flash.
E.g. If textfield name is "myText", then I'm passing..

Code:
myText = "<FONT>This is <B>strong</B>.</FONT>"

But problem is that, when I define textfield's character option to "Bold", SWF shows the text "strong" only.
And when I don't define textfield's character option to "Bold", SWF shows the text "This is" only.

Same is the case with "Italic" option.

Also, sub/superscript doesn't work for dynamic fields.

Are these limitations? or is there any solution?

Easy Solution?
Okay- I've done this a few times before, but for some reason I can't get it to work now!

I have a series of buttons that target MCs to slide up and down. I only want one MC to be up at any time. My script for the buttons is this:

on(release) {
if movieclip2=="up" {
telltarget (movieclip1)
play()
}
}
on(release) {
telltarget (movieclip1)

}

...and so on for every button and every movie clip. The problem is that they slide in and out ok, but don't recognize the variables that I set in the movieclips. These variables set each movie clip as "down" or "up". Is there something I'm missing?

SOLUTION: ASP And MX - Unicode UTF-8
Hi out there

didn't found any solutions to give out .asp in Unicode in this Forum. This is needed so Flash MX reads Special Character properly. So i thougt i post my solution which took me a day to find out...

In Your .asp file write this so the output is unicode:

Language=VBScript
CODEPAGE=65001
Session.Codepage=65001

In MX load the Variables as you ever did with LoadVariablesNum or the other methods.

DON'T write the "System.UseCodePage=true;" in your Actionscript-Code...

Anyone Know Of A Good Solution?
Okay, I am having a strange problem and hopefully there is an easy fix. I posted a message before, but it didn't even make sense to me so I am going to try again.

I am trying to create a flash movie that will do simple text editing by selecting text and clicking on a button... bold, underline, url, color. I got this to work fine, however when you, for example, select some text and make is bold the HTML tags for bold do not show up.

I have two text boxes, but are the same variable. One is rendering HTML and the other is the raw data. Notice when you type something highlight it and bold it the raw data text box doesn't even show the changes. I need this to update when you change text. Anyone know if this is possible?? Thanks!!
