i used an mp3 player found in the movies section of flashkit. I learned from it and designed my own version for my upcoming site. However, i do not like some of the setup of the actionscript and i am not sure how to personalize it. The main actionscript is this:

1- the player as it is now just stops playing the .swf when the song is over, i would like it to play the next .swf file. so when finished playing song 1..go to song 2 automatically.

2- i also wanted to know what code i may use in order to get the player to play song1 as soon as the player is loaded. Right now i have to push play myself before any audio sounds. i would like it to begin playing the first track on its own.

3- i want know how to change the file format from it's current "song1" to include "song1.swf" it is too complicated changing all the file names to unassociated files.

360 Product Views
I know 360 panoramic views have been discussed here extensively and I have found a few threads on 360 product shots. Here is an example of what I want:

The 360 view would be single plane just like this example and I would be shooting/editing the product shots in studio (still photots). I need to know if anyone has a good solution for making the flash file efficient enough to use for several hundred products. Here is another good example I have found:

In the above example, TGW uses this on several products, just as I want to do. I am looking for and efficient and cost effective way to do this. If anyone has experience doing this I would appreciate feedback.

1 Model, Several Views
Hey everyone

I guess this is a question about Design Patterns.

I have a class called Article. In this class I have 3 properties: id, bodyHeading and bodyText.

I have a design where I have to make the articles show in different layouts. Sometimes it's a full width article, sometimes it's has small fonts, and sometimes it only displays the heading.

But I don't want to build extra classes, like SmallArticle, FullArticle and so on, because I need to have a single and unique reference to my Article object.

How can I have one single model class show in different forms in Flash?

Your Views On Classes?
Hey guys, just reading some tuts on Kirupa, and since I'm just getting into OOP right now, I would like some of your opinions on classes. Why use them? What differentiates them and Objects?

Reading the ADT tut by Kirupa, I can see some "merit" in using them, however, being the newbie programmer I always am, I can simply define a "function" on the main timeline for the node and edge classes. What's the difference between this (function) and that (ADT)? Anyway, I'm sure that I'll raise some s and s. But I simply want to get some of your opinions on the use of classes, the pros, the cons, etc.

Scrolling/sliding 360 Views

How can I have all my images rotate in a continuous 360 pan view?

I have an example .FLA prepared but my images go from left to right but do not cycle around.

Flash Camera Views?
I know like, flash basics, but I'm seriously out of ideas on this. The only way I've ever been able to get effects like camera zooms or different camera positions (for flash animations) is to like, actually move the entire background and all of its contents, so that it looks like the camera is moving... but this is getting rediculously hard with lots of layers and whatnot. There HAS to be a better way to do this. Any suggestions would be great, thanks

Multiple Views Of A Sprite
Is there a way to have multiple views of a single Sprite displayed on screen? I know that I can't just addChild() it to another container. Also, it contains other sprites that can change dynamically so I can't just make another instance. I just want to say "display this Sprite: here, here, and scale it down and display here". Is there some kind of viewport technique? I can go into more detail if necessary.

Swf Views In Firefox, Not Safari
After placing my swf file into dreamweaver site, I can view in Firefox but it doesn't load in Safari. Any suggestions?

i have to prepare 360 degree panoromic views for a project. in fact i hate those images but the client wants it. i wonder how those photos are shot, do you take some number of photos or convert them from a real video. what equipment do you use

Scaling Panoramatic Views
I have a slight problem concerning panoramatic image. I have created image duplicating itself and infinitely scrolling on both sides depending on mouse movement. I have this image divided to 100 separate strips and in each such strips the image scrolls faster or slower than in the strip before depending on how much is it scaled to original. (I am aiming to prolong the panorama in strips as far as it is from center
to make it look as some sort of peripheral view) . The problem is that although I tried to multiply all panoramas in strips by whatever ratios of original size and scaled size, there still appear to be some in joints between strips inaccuracy after few loops. I hope zou have understood me although my english is not so good. I have found a tutorial about this scaling panoramatic view but I have not saved it. Can anybody help ,please?

How To Embed The Fonts I Used In The My Movie So It Views The Same On For Others
The fonts that I have used are not standard and when someone else views my movie on their computer the fonts are displayed in a default font. How do you embed the fonts that you want displayed? Please help!!!!!

Views & Clicks In FLASH Banner (how To?)
Hi to all !

I have one problem. I am making a flash banner for our club to put to a variety of advertisers. They all offer a statistic of clickthroughs & views ...but ... I just want to insert some action script to log this info to. ... just to compare their statistics & ours.

Banner will be on their server so I have to call my server for some action.

I want to call some php on our page to add count to views when banner is loaded. Same for clicks (some action for "on mouse click"...)

I thought that this is the best place to ask for help.

How to implement & which script to log clicks & views of a flash banner on a remote server ?

Tracking Flash Views On Many Sites?
I do flash animation, and I want to be able to track my flash when it goes to different websites, to kind of give me an idea of how many hits etc of people who see it?

Is this possible to have the flash call a php page and update a mysql db, or is there better ways of doing this?

[AS] Tracking Ad Views (across Multiple Domains)
Hello,

We're going to be starting some ad campaigns on the web and I'd like the ability to compare views with clickthroughs. I'd also like to do this without having to mandate that all our carriers create crossdomain policies.

Is there a way to do this?

I'd basically like to send three static variables contained in the swf file back to our server when the ad loads on a page so I can compare that with the same variables captured when the ad is clicked...

Runtime Error When Client Views Page

I can view them without any trouble. However, my client views both pages and gets a Runtime Error:

"A Runtime Error has occured. Do you wish to debug? Line: 1. Error: Syntax error."

I was sent screenshots of the page with the error.

Does anyone know why this error would occur? I have no idea!

Shirt Designer Back And Front Views
Hi all

I was wondering whether anyone has ever come across implementing a t-shirt designer in flash. I've looked for tutorials and tips but no sucess.

What I'd like to achieve is the ability to let user switch back and forth views of a t-shirt. Example: he could click on a button the view the back side of a the t-shirt and vice-versa. The problem is that I have no idea how the user will not lose the design already placed on a shirt while he's switching the views.

The next step of this process is to allow the user to be able to view both sides of the designed t-shirt in a different screen.

At the moment what i'm looking for is ideas and thoughts in how i could implement such thing. However, if you have any code to share how would be grateful.

Problem With XML Streaming Video Player And Tallying Views
I am in the middle of creating a streaming video player that has an xml driven playlist divided into categories. I am using the FLVPlayback component in Actionscript 3. We use Internap for our streaming server to host the FLVs. We noticed, that when we tracked views on the videos from the playlists, the counts were inaccurate. What appears to be happening is that for every video that is selected to play, the count is tripled. Although we do not have any discrepancies with videos that were not selected to play - they remain at zero which is correct in that case.

Internap suggested I contact you to inquire about the "Three Way Handshake" and how in my AS3 code I can ensure that the server is only tracking the delivery stage and not request and acknowledgement. Can someone help in this? I'm still very much a beginner to this all and trying my hardest to learn.

hi! im pretty new to flash and have read through a couple of tutorial books about flash's basic functions and making web pages. very noob when it comes to actionscripting though.

i'm interested in making an online portfolio for my work, but w/the large number of images, i'm wondering if there is a way to say, break it into 2 parts. the preloader will load part 1 and then while the visitor is looking through part 1, part 2 is loading and will be ready by the time the visitor gets to any of those images.

i've read through some things on loadMovie and placing empty movie clips on the main page but i am not sure if that's what i need. thanks in advance!

i was wondering, does anyone know how to make a panoramic 180 work on flash? I got a fla that allows for interactive view of your 360degrees image left and right, depending on your mouse location. Now i wanted the same but with 180degrees images, so it would scroll only until the end of the image and stop, no loop.
Can anyone shed light on this?

Hello,
I'm trying to create one of those "panoramic 360" effects you see everywhere. So far, I have a fair result, but there is something odd in the movement. I'll attach the .fla which consists in two instances of a clip called "pano" and two masks called "mascara1" and "mascara2". I added two little red strips to see where each slide begins and ends. And that's where it's a little strange. The distance between the end of one slide and the beginning of the other is not always the same. Could someone tell me how to improve my code to solve this issue?

Depending on the x,y cooridinate of the mouse, it fades between 2 different images..

what i was wondering, would it be possible to have maybe 4 or 5 different images of the same object, but at different angles, and fade between them with a panoramic type effect??

I have a script that i got to make a picture rotate and act like a VR panorama.

But as soon as i make them fade in and out it stops working. The script was writen in spanish i think so i dont understand it. I am new to AS and really could use some help. :-)

I have been working on this for hours now and at my witts end.

I Am Looking For This Panoramic 360
I am wanting to implement to my web some panoramic pictures in 360 grades, the pictures have already taken them, and in a software that comes with my camera there is one to make panoramic in 360 grades, but the problem is that it exports them with (. MOV), and weight too much.

I am looking for if somebody can provide me some tips or tutorial of as making the panoramics, here accent the example of as I would like to place in my web: todo360.com is the panoramic where it leaves a bull. It is the same thing that I am looking for that example this fact in Flash and overalls this something similar at the 3D.

I edited the code slightly to only do the movment on the x and y axis when the mouse button is down. I would like to have a decellerate function done when the mouse is up. so onMouseDown, the movie scrolls panoramically, and on mouseUp, the image will decellerate. I do know the decellerate formula, but i cant get it to work along with this tutorial.

Which way is better?

What if you wanted to do a product 360 view, seen on some retila sites. Where the user drags the mouse, and the product spins so you can see all sides of it. Multiple pictures? Or Video?

Panoramic Movie
I am hoping someone can help me with a problem. I am making a panoramic movie in flash using actionscript. This is a 360° movie landscape which I have put together. As you move your mouse from one side to the other the movie should scroll from side to side, but instead it scrolls only up and down.

I have enclosed all the code that is used in this panoramic movie. I hope someone with script/code knowledge of flash etc.. can see why the movie only goes up and down and not side to side. Otherwise the movie does work in a fashion.

Panoramic 360 Tutorial
So I'm following the tutorial on creating a 360 panoramic flash file, and there seem to be some missing steps:

After duplicating the code (hey, this is the newbies section, right??) the next step says to return to the main timeline, place an instance of slider object called 'picture' on the layer 'bitmap' -- is 'bitmap' a new layer created in the main timeline or is this a step that was skipped?

The tutorial seems to assume a lot and skip some steps.

If only there were a "360 Panoramic Tutorial for Morons", I'd be in heaven!

Please help!!!!
I'm desperately trying in vain to integrate a panoramic picture I snapped a while back, into my website's home page. I would love it to move both left and right when the curser moves over that side but I'm not sure where to begin. I've managed to string all the pics together so that end of things is ready to go, it's the action scripting which mostly confuses me. Can anyone help me preferably with a working tutorial...? I've tried the Brent Thomson tutorial but the .fla is unattainable.

Panoramic Help Flashjunkie
I was just wanting a quick flash panoramic for a project im working on, and I saw flash junkie's tutorial on it.

creating the panoramic is fairly simple to me, but I added some code to his to only scroll and move when the mouse is down. I wanted to make it so with the onmouseup it would decellerate. Right now it just stops abruptly onMouseUp.

can anyone help me add the decelleration functionality to this tutorial? This tutorial was done in flash 4 code. i would like to keep it in flash 4 or 5 code.

hey there guys - i got this movie clip of a panoramic image what i want to do with it is put a tranparent button on the left and right hand side of it and then script those buttons to move the image left and right - the other thing i need to do is set it so it continues "looping" so that there are no breaks or jumps as it scrolls thru.

Does any1 know how can:

1. modify the A/S and make it so that the MC(panoramic image) only moves when i mouse over it, instead of moving when i mouse over the stage/whole swf file (that's how it is right now).

2. After i mouse out of the MC, how can i make it move at a constant preset-speed, right now...if you mouse over it and then if you mouse out of it, it moves at the speed that you moused out of it at. But i wanna try to make it so when you mouse over it and play around with it and then when you mouse out of it, it moves at a constant preset speed of like 5 or something, not the speed that you moused out of.
