Pls Help

Pls help .I need to get the url from the browser window to be loaded in the flash movie. could someone tell us how to do it using actionscript or javascript?
ie if the browser has http://www.x.com?num=1001
i need to get this in a variable to manipluate it further.
could someone pls help??
