Help With Flash Installation
I have tried everyway i can find to install the latest 'flash player' and for some reason once the installation dialogue box appears and i click "install" nothing happends. ive been trying from links aswell as directly from the official page and it still does not work. I am able to install other programs and such just not 'flash player'
can anyone help with this problem as im highly confused.

Flash Installation
Can't get flash to work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, uninstalled all Norton antivirus and firewall. I am still without a firewall. I spent 90 minutes on the phone with MS and finally concluded its a registry problem that must be specific to flash because everything else in my system is fine. I looked at the permissions in HKey classes root, and there were none. I added myself. still no joy. I am in over my head.

Flash Installation ...
Latest Flash version (9.0.45) is installed and displays Flash ball icon with color scrollbar underneath. A few seconds pass by and it appears that Flash is being installed again!!! A few more seconds pass by and the infamous " appears where the installation movie should be playing. I've tried all the suggestions in the support forum with no success. To say the least, this is very annoying! What am I missing?

on one laptop 2 users work, they are both administror.
on one account (login) flash works, the latest version 9......
on the other account it doesn't work, adobe test says it is installed and must be working but when i go to some sites no movies are shown.
i tried serveral things, deinstalling, installing, some msi from windows to correct permissions in the registry etc.
i don't see much difference in the HKEY CURRENT USER settings in softwaremacromedia folder
i cannot register the flash9c.ocx, some code 0X80070005 error
what else can i do so flash works on both accounts?

Flash Cs3 Installation
I downloaded flash cs3 and when I try to install I keep getting a system check that says installation cannot continue until you close internet explorer. IE is not open, and I can't go any further. Any help would be great.

Flash Installation
I updated my flash player to version 9. Everything seemed to download successfully. I could even see the programs in my add and remove software list. However, I cannot view flash content anymore. What am I doing wrong?

Flash V10 Installation

*** XP Pro SP3 ***

I installed latest Update Flash 10.0.12.36

The procedure suggested by Adobe - remove old version using uninstaller and the standalone Installer as I always do. All went fine without any Errors

But now when I tested local swf file playback Adobe player 9 r115 showed up (???) and played it. That never happened before.
There is no v9 listed in Add/Remove.
Plug-ins for IE7 & Firefox are correctly installed and working in both browsers.

Can anybody tell please, why old Flash was not removed?
Where I can find old flash on my PC and how to clean it up, so Flash 10 is set as a default (off-line) Flash Player

Hello All,
I would like to know if there is a way to detect the flash player, and if it is not installed, automatically install the player without the end user having to go out and download the plug-in from Macromedia. Or, for that matter, without the end user even knowing about it?

Flash Installation Issue
When I installed flash mx, the fonts on the properties inspector, the timeline and anything on the workspace that has a smaller font is not possible to read. It's very jumbled. Any ideas about solutions to fix this?

Old Flash Player Installation
Hi,

I am attempting to install an old version of Flash player to test my site. I downloaded the .CAB files from the Macromedia site. I uninstalled the current player on my system, using the tool that is also available from the Macromedia site.

I then extracted the .CAB files to C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32MACROMEDFLASH

This follows the instructions I got from a tutorial on a Flash Design site (no installation instructions are available from Macromedia). However it is not working at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Flash CS3 Installation Problem
Hello, I downloaded Flash CS3 today, and I've been trying to install it for hours, and I just can't get it done.

First, the setup would load but as soon as it was loaded, it appeared for a second and then it was gone.

Then I copied all the files in the Adobe CS3 directory to
C:Program FilesCommon FilesAdobeInstallers

where I found a copy of the adobe cs3 setup.exe

Then, after I had all the files in this folder, I tried launching the setup again, but now appeared a small green loading bar, and when it was done, a pop up message appeared, saying something like:

"Setup Already Running You can only install one Adobe product at a time. Please complete the other installation before attempting to install Adobe Flash CS3."

I rebooted and everything to close any possible open setups, and opened the setup again but still the same.

I've been googling for an answer for hours, and I've come across many people with the same problem that can't fix it, or if they do, they don't know how they did it.

I also tried downloading the cs3Cleaner or something like that, for windows.
It deleted the installers and caps folder from Common Files, and deleted some registry keys.
Then I installed again and bleh, nothing, I got back to where I started.

Now I have two options;
-run the cs3Cleaner again, on "level 2", which would remove not only CS3 files, but any adobe 8 products (such as dreamweaver or flash 8; my current version)
if this fails I'm screwed.

-the other option is to wait, hopefully some of you guys had problems with the installation too, and know the answer to this stupid problem.

Hello . i downloaded from adobe.com flash cs3 exe and i tryed to installing it.
BUt just installation start and it tell me that i have to put cd to continue .

where is the problem and how i can fix it.

Flash Installation Stalls - Mac OS X
Flash Installation stalls at : "Items remaining to be installed: 190 - Searching: Machintosh HD". The progress bar disappears and the installation just hangs for ever. Anybody has an idea of why this is happening? I might have installed a trial version before but I'm not sure. Is there any file that I should remove perhaps?

Flash Player Installation
when i try to install flash player from the adobe website and i click on "get adobe flash player" there is no "install now" button. that entire piece of the website is missing and it goes to "installation instructions" instead. any ideas?

Flash Installation On Vista
I am trying to use Flash on Windows Vista Ultimate from websites such as YouTube. YouTube directs me to load Flash. Flas tells me that it has downloaded successfully, but YouTube still tells me I haven't got it installed.
Can anyone tell me how to install Flash?

Well i download the trial version of FLash CS3 but when i try to installe it, it says that "installation cannot continue until the following application are close" and it appear "Internet Explorer" but its close, i dont have it open and i restar the pc and turn it off and the problem continue. Flash 9,0,45,0 Installation Acting Odd
Users of my web site have started complaining about errors in display when they are prompted to load a new version of Flash Player. My site requires v8 or greater.

Previously the page would detect that the version was old and give them a link to load the latest version. If they clicked that link, the Adobe page would open in a new window. When the installation was complete they were able to go back to my web site and everything worked perfectly. Now it seems that they have to close all browser windows and re-open a new browser in order for my site to display. It is causing a lot of confusion.

When I go to the Flash Player page (http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash), I'm prompted to load version 9,0,45,0. If I load it, close everything, and re-open it, I'm prompted to load 9,0,45,0 all over again. This never used to happen.

Is anyone else seeing this?

Hi, when clicking on IE pages that require Flash, I get asked to install Flash. Even after installing it (I get the movie), I try to run the page again and still get asked again to install Flash. I have rebooted numerous times, uninstalled, re-installed and still same issues. Anyone seen this before? Any help, thoughts appreciated! Thanks

Flash 9.0.45.0 Installation Trouble

Recantly I tried to download the new flash version. I was unable to install it the primary way, so I went to the troubleshooting page and attempted a few of their suggestions. I searched for any previous versions of Flash and found none. The only adobe software I have installed is Adobe Reader 8. I also tried using the .zip file to download Flash and I came upon a message, "Error opening file for writing: C:Windowssystem32MacromedFlashFlash9d.ocx." Any information about how to fix this would be appreciated. Thank you.

Flash Player Installation
I started out having a problem running my Flex project in debug mode. At
the advice of Matt Chotin, I uninstalled the Flash player. Now, I cannot
get any Flash player at all to install. Flex Builder 3 came with Flash
player installers, but these won't run, claiming they are not the most
recent player. Even this player installer refuses to launch
http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer9_ax.html, claiming that it is
not the newest player. Does anyone know what mechanism these players are
using to "decide" there is a more recent player? I.e., is there a way to
convince these players that there is NOT a more recent player available?
What is the installer exe checking against to pop up this message?

Flash Installation Problem
I have a problem with the Adobe Flash Plug-in remaining installed under Vista SP1.

I updated Adobe Flash to v9.0.124.0 under the built-in administrator's account and it works fine there. If I restart the computer it will remain.

Not so under my user account. My user account is a member of the Admin Group and whenever I go to any news site, specifically cbsnews.com and abcnews.com and try to play the news videos, it always tells me that I don't have the latest version of flash player and redirects me to the Adobe site to get it. If I switch user accounts back over to the built-in Admin Account, it will play.

Under my user account, I can reinstall the Flash Player and it will work for that session only. As soon as I restart the computer, it is gone again and I have to uninstall/reinstall Flash Player every time to get it to work.

It is interesting to note that I do not get the error on all pages hosting flash. Some web pages that I know have a flash object on it such as an simple advertisement display OK, but anything requiring a player where I have to hit a button to start a video fails every time.

Iâ€™ve checked the security settings in IE between the 2 accounts and they all appear to be the same. Iâ€™m lost on this one.

Flash CS3 Installation On Vista
I'm having trouble installing Flash CS3 Professional on my computer. My computer has Vista Home Premium on it and the computer is a HP pavilion with AMD Turion X2 processor.

I was reading other issue blogs and did the following:

After I did that I ran the installer and when I'm on the screen where it asks for my Serial Number at the bottom there is a Next button. WHen I click on the next button the window just disappears.

Has anyone had this problem or now how to fix this?

When I go to Taske manager and click in the processes tab it shows that Flash is running but the window is nowhere on the screen so i can't continue installing it.

Flash Player Check & Installation
Hi there

I am currently implementing an interactive flash site that is to be used to teach children studying the key stages of electricity and magnetism.

I also want to create a DVD that contains the site.

I would like the DVD to autoplay the when the disk is inserted into a pc's DVD drive.

I would also like the DVD to check when it auto plays that the computer has the most up to date flash player, if the computer does not i would like my DVD let the user install the flash player.

Any help with either of my two problems would be much appreciated.

[MX04] Pbm With Flash Remoting Installation
Hi Everybody,

I have installed Flash remoting for Flask mx 2004 AS 2.0. It was installed successfully. But when i try to create an application to use remoting
as including NetDebu.as, DataGlue.as, and NetServices.as using #include "<filename>".
When i tried to compile the swf it says that the above mentions file was missing.

Any 1 knows wats wrong. Is there any modification to be done while installing.

Note: I have installed a full featured 30 days trial version downloaded from Adobe Site

Flash CS3 Trial Installation Problems
Hi, i just downloaded Flash CS3 pro trial from https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/i...?product=flash . I extracted all the files and than double clicked Flash ProfessionalAdobe CS3Setup.exe . It started installed and after a while, i wasn't paying attention it restarted my computer without asking. Thank God i didn't have anything unsaved at that moment so nothing was lost but when i returned back to windows only Bridge, Device Central and ExtendScript Toolkit was installed no sign of Flash CS3. i ran the setup.exe again and decided to remove eveything. it removed whatever it installed and i restarted. After that i can't view any flash content on IE 6 and 7. I tried to installed it again and the samething happened however i was monitoring the application this time and before it restarted my computer automaticly i saw that Flash CS3 and some other components didnt get installed. i tried to search for a little on google with no luck so far.

Changing Language Of Flash Installation...

I am running a german operating system and thus also have a german version of MM studio installed...Problem is that I would like to change it to English, but there is no license available for an English version at my company. So...my question is if anyone knows a different way to do this.... I have read on a different forum that it's possible to change the registry file to English, or add an english.txt file to the settings folder but neither method has worked so far...

Any feedback on this issue would be greatly appreciated!

Some of sites tell me to install flash player's new version. But I have it installed.
I go to Adobe site and install last version again. I see movie above that mean successful installation and text: "Version 9,0,115,0 installed successfully"

But when I link those sites again I see that message "No flash player detected"

I cannot understand what's the problem

Attempting to install Flash Comm on MAC OS 10.4 Tiger. The FLASH comm installer cannot find my copy of FLASH MX 2004 in the applications folder created under my user name. I attempted placeing the installer in the flash mx folder without success.

Tweening Prototypes Installation For Flash 8?
Did a search and couldn't fidn anything.

I downloaded the http://laco.wz.cz/tween/ extension, but when i went to install it in flash 8, it spewed up a

"The extension package is invalid. The extentsion will not be installed"?

I have extension manager 1.7, and the documentation that is available says it needs 1.6 with mx2004. I have read that that people have been using it with Flash 8.

Can someone please indicate what i need to do to get it to work.

I am getting following error msg - "Installation of fp7_ppc_en.cab was unsuccessful"
when trying to install flash 7 player on windows mobile 5.0. The device is a new iPAQ rx1950.
Have copied .cab file over correctly. It appears on mobile device manager as fp7_ppc_en.cab. Double click to install and error message occurs. Flash 6 player is not installed.
Any help would be very welcome.

FLASH PLAYER INSTALLATION WOES
I'm having a problem installing Flash Player on my computer. Everytime the popups comes up asking me to install Adobe Flash Player 9, I click install and all i see instead of the successful video is a pair of quotation marks. I tried to consult the support center for Flash but to no avail. Even when I try to exit Internet Explorer and try to reinstall it, the same situation occurs. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Flash 8 Refuses Itself After Director 10 Installation
hi all together :)

i'm despairing: Flash 8 ran for months without problems, then i imagined myself to try out Director 10. Since that Flash does not works any longer - it starts but freezes after the splashscreen, some tool-windows are opening, that's it, afterwards nothing can be made except a forcibly terminating ;(

after deinstalling Director and x-times reinstalling Flash i'm already going madâ€¦

I just wanted to see if anyone had any tips for me. I have Adobe CS3 FLASH Professional and I run the installation and the first message that comes up is "Please Close Internet Explorer, before Setup can continue" Thing is, is I have internet explorer closed, and all applications that use internet explorer are closed, just wondering if anyone knew how to fix this?

My flash player won't work on my Intel based Mac OS X Tiger anymore. I've tried to reinstall it several times, and nothing works. What's the roundabout way of doing it? Latest Version Of Flash Installation Help
When I go to install the plugin in, firefox it always gives me an error saying the download was unsuccessful. So I go and download flash manually and install it. It says the installation was complete/successful yet when I launch Firefox or Safari they both tell me to get the latest version of flash, which I can't do since no installation of any kind seems to be unsuccessful. Help is much appreciated.

Adobe Flash Does Not Work After The Installation
I have problems after the installation of Adobe Flash. Also after rebooting, I get the message:

When I install Flash player 10, it downloads and says it installed successfully but doesn't show up in my applications folder. I've uninstalled and retried, but same thing. I'm on a Mac Power PC, OS 10.4.11

Show Flash Movies During Software Installation?
I want to jazz up the installation process of some software I made. I'm wondering if Flash can do the job.

Is it possible to put an swf file inside Installshield so that the graphics look Flash-cool as the user clicks through the installation process?

Or is it possible to build an Installshield-like installer program with Flash that leads the users through the installation process. Perhaps with the aid of Jugglor or some other third-party Flash extended-functionality program? (make an .exe to install software)

Basically, I want my software to have some eye-candy during the installation process. How do I do that with Flash?
